Congrats Don on your impressive performance today, double winner in Monaco is near-impossible.👍

Rees, again, i'm sorry man, it was a silly move on my part, my brain froze for a moment, don't know what i was thinking. My apologies to Paul and Owens (i think) who got in the mess too.

Yes.. definitely congrats to Dom on his double today.

No worries at all Tony. I was giving you the outside and was already going to concede the next turn to you.. but then unfortunately we made contact which must have pinned me to the wall. Full damage. But not that bad because the pit was close by.

I knew you were faster, but it was a strange matchup with our cars. You were much better getting into the corners and in the corners, but my car would pull away once we got out of the corners. I was actually hoping you would get a better run out of one of the corners so I could let you by.

Really tough course for passing Tony. Really no hard feelings what so ever. I was actually hoping you wouldn't wait for me after the pits.:sly: That was gentlemanly of you to wait.. but then I had you on my tail again, lol.:)

@Paul.. Yeah.. that last lap when you crashed was really strange. On my screen I was quite a ways from you, then suddenly you were in the wall. I must have been at least 5 car lengths behind you, and my screen never showed any contact.

@Dennis - good job running a '31 with a ballasted NSX. Pretty sure my best today was a low '32, with no ballast.

Not my best result today, but I had fun. Looking forward to next week 👍

D1 results?
Fastest Laps?

RedReevos: Thanks! It felt really good. ;) 👍

Com'on guys. I want to read race reports!!

I have just taken a quick look but I think it's automatically discarding the two worst results already? Is this possible?

I assume Doc is updating results right now.

D1 results are up... Ballast is up-to-date

csl picks up his first passenger sweeping both races, fast lap and 2nd Quali bonus for +60kg
tony gets second even with such a fat 100kg passenger so he's back up to the max 120kg
welsh comes up with a podium and a near podium so will strap on his first lead baloon for +20kg

--

Denilson missed D1 so loses 20kg to bring his passenger down to 40kg
Paginas misses the podium and cuts his weight in half to 20kg
WiiFreak missed D1 and also cuts down to 20kg
Litchi missed D1 shedding the 20kg girth and is now back to 0

Need the timing info for D2... Did anyone do a 1:31?
If not CSL and Tony are the only 31's with CSL getting top honors with a 30.8 in race1. 👍
The last bonus point gets snagged out of the jaws of my team mate by 0.027 when GV27 got the best 32.0 in race2. But that point is still up for grabs depending on div2 timing.

High-Five Brosif... Team Autech Motul gets a nice 4,5 finish with only one point between us. We're back for a strong 2nd half to the season.

GR everyone 👍

I did a 31.7.. So it looks like I snatch 1 fast lap bonus point.. With an NSX.. carrying 60 kg ballast.. At Monaco.. Super happy with that.
Need to await the final D2 times though.. WiiFreak could've been quicker..

I can't get all lap times up right now, but I hope someone who took part in D2 can.

I think 31.7 in an NSX with 60kg's deserves a bonus point just for happening at all.
Very nice Den.

Edit: Tony wasn't in D2 Paul. :P

Tim, did you catch this?:

No idea.. But I heard something about Ice-T, Snoop and that Scott Storch is going to be a mecanic in Dr Dre's team.

Where's the east coast guys?? :D

lol, I forgot to put people in div2 so that's why the edit wasn't working. fixed that and added the results. Just need the fast laps.

As for the new guys, just send them the customer one and I'll move them in the database to the correct teams and add them to the results.

But I don't have that code in my inbox any more.. deleted a lot of PM's the other day.

Dr Dre, you need to empty your PM box. I can't send you an important PM. Sort it asap! 👍

Let me know when you've cleared some space!

Gonna catch my plane yo NY in a few hours, i will be back on day 21 or 22.
Will probably miss the next two races, hope thats ok.
The only race i missed so far was La Sarthe, cause i coudn't connect to the room.

See you all in two weeks!

Omg Dom I'm so freaking happy for you man. Super congratulations and much respect. When you have a track down, you're incredibly hard to beat. But I think if it wasn't for a few bad connection issues you've had in your past, this would've been just another one of a few well deserved, yet unfortunately denied, wins in your Super GT GT5 career :).

Anyway, this is what it's all about, great competitiveness out there and the ballast is doing its job.

Sorry for not being able to be out there with you Tony, thanks for the set up btw, it's brilliant I just wish I had more time to put in laps.

As for my absence, I've just had trouble managing my sleep. Saturday I woke up at like 8 AM after only getting 4 hours sleep for some reason, stayed up the rest of the day, then I had the night off from work and was able to hang out with my friend. Had a bit of girlfriend drama to contend with, so I went home around 11 to get in my qualifying. Did alright for not much time in the car and track, so I was satisfied with my starting position after I saw what Brosif and Nige ran (which was awesome to see as well).

So I just didn't have the energy. Woke up with the alarm fine at 9:00, but I did the old mistake of trying to just get one more little nap and woke up too late.

I admit it's hard to wake up for me sometimes at 9AM here on the West coast US since I work nights, but Saturdays work nights are usually easy so I've been able to get right home and sleep for the race (I work at a show on the Vegas strip, Saturday's our chill day where we just do the two shows and don't have to maintain the sets or anything, the rest of the week we stay afterwards to work on things). It's just this weekend that I've been able to slack off, so I did, and it hurt me!

So now that this week is over (was busy with all kinds of things) I'm finally able to relax and get in my old swing of things. I have a lot I want to accomplish with PURE as an organization, we're planning the second season so we're getting the interest thread for group brainstorming up soon, I have an article to write (Dennis and Jason know what I'm talking about ;) ), a very special picture to take, some decisions to make, and guidance to initiate in terms of the progress of our little club here. So lots to see coming soon and I'm looking much forward to the near-future with all of you being a part of it.

Thanks to every one for reminding us of what we do best here.

And finally, a big bow to Dom, what an achievement brother, keep soaking it in. 👍 I bow to you sehhr.

First off, thanks. :)
Second off, totally worth it. Worth every second of frustration. :D
Thirdly, Suzuka was actually the most heartbreaking. :banghead:

First of all, a big warm welcome to the new guys! And particularly at my good buddy, SG15. You're in, man! 👍

Dom, I have to admit it was a big pressure having you behind me during the sprint race, but I "knew" I could hold you behind me, at least for just a few laps. Monaco's complicated so I knew you wouldn't take big risks. Besides I was running low 32s, so I wasn't that amazed that you weren't going past! ;)

If I hadn't made my mistake, I could have held myself in the lead for one, perhaps two more laps. I won't lie, my goal here was to try and hold you behind me, as well as Tim. It could have been done, perhaps. Nevertheless, mistakes happen, and mine didn't cost too much! Third place on the sprint race is amazing, and I'm delighted with it. With a tight but fair battle for half a lap with Dom. 5 corners side to side and not a single car was damaged. That's what I expect from this championship!!

As for the first race, 7th was great, but I feel I could have been sixth if I hadn't made two silly mistakes. The first damaged my front right suspension after my last pit stop. I was worried but I was able to keep doing low 32s, and even my best lap of the feature race. However, it cost me a half-spin later on which ruled out any possibility of catching Tim, and from then on I decided to control the race and not risk it. I just went slower and used the time advantage I had over Rees... and it worked well enough! 4 stops, I was happy with, too.

Bring on Monza... even if my car's not the best there! :D

:cheers:YIHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA  ah hurra for Denilson!!! gald to drive a GT-R the rest of the season and hope to do better results than Monaco jajajaja

What's with the 2 letters followed by 2 numbers? No but seriously, just wondering if it has meaning or something.

Hey Den... one question  Which are the tips tuning of the XANAVI NISMO GT-R?? I can't see them :indiff:

My name comes from "Gilles Villeneuve #27", while his comes from Spanish former MotoGP rider "Sete Gibernau", with his numberplate being #15. 👍

Mystery solved!

By the way, I was re-reading my last post, and I'm sorry if I came across as a bit arrogant! Your pace was amazing, and I was proud I was able to stay in front of you for a short while! :)

SG, use the Motul Autech GT-R tips. The car's the same ;)
