I'm going to be on-line tomorrow from 9.00 AM (GMT) to 15.00 PM (GMT).

Will do some final practice to reach that 36,0, some final tuning and also watch any one who want to quali.
I have to quali as well, so would be happy if a steward joins from 13.00-15.00 PM (GMT). 👍

Just wanted to say kudos to all the racers and drivers in this league. I randomly joined a practice session with a few drivers and was really impressed at the quality driving going on as well as the great attitudes. It's nice to see that clean, but competitive organized racing really is possible in GT5 if you just work and practice! Anyways, kudos again guys, looking forward to seeing some video of these races.

Wow Korvin, word up!

Greatest attitude I've ever seen coming from a random encounter driver. Sweet. Glad to see you signed up. Glad you signed up on the forum here. Thanks for the support. Feel free to pop in any practice room you can find btw, lots of good drivers all around. At the moment we don't have any introductory series going on but there's plenty to choose from if you look around this sub-forum. Just ask and we can help you with that if you're interested in going down that route to improve as a driver. In-fact R1600Turbo just started a spec Miata series that's could be a lot of fun. Also, there's an organized spec racing league named "S.N.A.I.L" that has lots of drivers from all levels and a divisional system that can help you see improvement in your driving as you work your way up through it.

We're going to be starting something similar to it in the next few months as I've always wanted to make a league dedicated to helping drivers improve through casual-constant racing formats. Just ask some of the drivers that are racing in this series now. 6 months ago, some of them were completely different drivers. Racing through the various series they raced with us has really helped them tremendously with their driving and they took it up all the way to this level.

Cheers.

Wow! Thank you so much! Hope to have the honor of racing you at some point.

And if you can't wait for videos, try this one from last seasons final. 👍

Awesome! I'll definitely check out the Miata spec series, seems a good way to get my feet wet in this online racing thing. Thanks guys, I'll be sure to follow this league/season as well. Lots of good racing, it's super fun to watch you guys.

Simon (cicua) is taking a seat in the PETRONAS TOM'S team

That's good news. I wont be much of a points gainer this season because I'm unfamiliar with the car and smooth throttle control is my weak point (and for a specific reason also). Hope Team Petronas doesn't fire me! Ha

On a good note, I've been experimenting with CSL's stable Lexus tune and his tuning tips from his thread and I've gotten a bit faster.

Gutted, ran 37.1 just before. Qualifying nerves stricken again :(

A big off is either cutting, or having four wheels off track and deliberately taking that line out of bounds. A small off is three wheels off for a short time, or having a big off but immediately swerving back on track and letting off a bit in order to be in bounds (deliberate save). A "small", although insignificant off is a better term, off can also be something like missing your braking point at 130R and using the tarmac run off in order to save your lap. This can be considered a "small off" in the sense that taking that outside line is actually slower.

Also, two consecutive "small offs" in two separate corners constitutes a dirty lap regardless. But you can have multiple small offs combine over the course of a lap where you had offs at different points.

Dirty laps are docked 3%.

Small offs are .5% and they can be stacked up to 6 times before the lap becomes automatically dirty.

I've got a few of my own. :)

Gutted that I lost all my replays. :(

Anyways, I found out that full aero's the only way I could stay above the 40's for a tire stint. Still...

Driving the Z with that after 22 laps...

What's really hard (for me at least) is to nail a good lap. It's so many "make or brake" corners. Hard to nail them all.
It's defenetly T4, T5, the tight chicane (especially the exit), and then the two following turns, I believe it's number 12 and 13 or 14.

I'd be really happy with a low 37 in quali..

A 0-stopper might be doable? ;)
But seriously, that's good after 22 laps imo.

Only if someone built a rail around the track and I could ride them on my rims.

It's not so much how much tire is gone, but how from what I've seen and read, the drop-off in lap times compared to everyone else.

At this point, I'm certain the Z will have similar issues at Monza, LaSarthe (won't be able to do that race anyways), and Spa, but will have the edge everywhere else. At least, I'm hoping that's the case.

Would you mind to elaborate (getting a bit worried)?
Are you saying that you ran sub 1:40's for 22 laps? If so, is'nt that good? I sure hope it is, or else I'm doomed.. Thanks for that! 👍 ;)

Any tips for Sector 3? Right now I can complete Sectors 1 and 2 and make it to the hairpin around 5 tenths away from Adam. But I'm losing around 8 tenths on that last sector! Obviously it's not only a matter of skill, and I'm surely doing something wrong. If I lose half a second with Sectors 1 and 2, I would expect to lose another half a second on Sector 3, at worst!
The last sector is the hard part.

Is there anyone in a Denso SC430 that would swap w/Mule?

From what I've seen from others, they are running 36s-37 for 14-18 laps, then 38s the rest of the way.

I can run 37s for 10-12 laps, mid 38s for 5-6 laps, and if I'm lucky, hold 39s until the pit stop.

Given I'll probably be racing in the non-alien group, I shouldn't be that concerned. Otherwise, last place has my name all over it.

Ok, so I'm doomed then. Thanks! ;)
Good to know though..
