Man, I'm like 2-6 seconds slower than you fast guys. I struggle for 58's but I can still see where I'm losing time. I think a pb goal for me is somewhere in the 56's. Just don't see that happening because there's not much time for any GT5 this week. Hopefully I make the cut this week so I can have some good battles in the back.

Are we doing a time/weather change race Sunday? Sorry if I missed it. I don't like unrealistic time change...just my 2¢.

Yesterday I realized one reason why I am off the pace, though not the only one. The throttle on my G27 pedals has a hard time staying on 100%. At least once or twice during a lap it will suddenly flicker and drop some 10-30% for a second or more. Pretty damning on the Sarthe straights. I need to take the pedals apart and try to clean them up, maybe swap the pots from the unused clutch, and see if it helps, else there is little point in racing on sunday.

Just checked through the thread on the PURE forum and penalties are 0.1% for a small off? That's just over 2 tenths, and at some corners you could actually gain by running dirty (unintentionally even). Knowing you can push to the limit + running over the limit even if you do by pushing = advantage with such a small penalty. At a track like Spa we would stick with 0.5%, but the lap time at Sarthe is not even twice as long as Spa, yet you can receive a penalty that is 5 times softer? This should be adjusted to 0.2% (along with dirty and late lap penalties), and preferably before anyone receives one of these penalties.

usually low aero means you gain time on the mullsanne and then lose it all in porsche. would be why one has skinny wings in the 24 hours.

I was hoping 2.08 made low aero efficient enough to function as an alternative, and it does, they're close, but if max aero is best at Sarthe, it's best everywhere, unfortunately.
