The proposed car specs are in the OP.

These are the cars we're using for JGTS 2 (all premiums):
Honda WEIDER HSV-010
Lexus BANDAI DIREZZA SC430
Lexus PETRONAS TOM'S SC430
Lexus DENSO DUNLOP SARD SC430
Nissan AUTECH MOTUL GT-R
Nissan CALSONIC IMPUL GT-R
Nissan YELLOWHAT YMS TOMICA GT-R
Nissan XANAVI NISMO GT-R
Nissan XANAVI NISMO Z
Toyota CASTROL TOM'S SUPRA

The 10 cars above will form 11 teams (2 HSV teams), and each team concist of 3 drivers.
So JGTS 2 will have 33 slots.
If we need additional slots, we can include the Nissan STEALTH GT500 GT-R for an additional 3 slots, making the total amount of slots 36.
And we also have the Toyota YMS SUPRA if we want to make room for an extra 3 slots, making the total amount of slots reach 39.

We're going to run 2 rooms, and because of that, no more than 32 drivers get to race each round. With the expected absence, it should be a good number of seats available.

Only top 2 cars in each team score team points to make the team standings reflect the result rather than the teams overall participation.

Once we finalize the specs (before or during this comming weekend), we can start assigning cars.

The process will be:
1. Randomly assign the 6 available HSV's.
2. All drivers who did'nt get/chose to be in the lottery of the HSV's, list their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice of car in a sheet provided by Wardez.
3. The administration sort the cars manually to even out the overall skill in the teams (i.e not going to allow Tony, Adam and Dom in the same team) to ensure an even team championship.

I have a room open running 5 lap races around Fuji ,

All welcome

Are any of us getting together online (if it's working) tomorrow around 17-18:00?

I'll be on-line from 14-17.00. 👍

Edit: Monday that is... Saw the time stamp on your post and figured it was Saturday in your time zone.. So I guess you meant Sunday..

I've contemplated this since the thread has come up, but now I've finally made up my mind. I'd like to take a shot at this as well, if you'll have me. (Wonder, if my 2nd place finish in WRS last week in the Supra-race changed my mind...)

I'm currently taking part in the Triplets, so I don't know, if you'll want to "screen" me...

Nah Snow, you're good to go. Anyone else that wants to audition, please PM me. Those will be handled first. Others that have shown interest will be contacted for auditions asap.

HSV lottery is happening on Wednesday. Then car selection will be sorted by Friday at the latest.

Details on the schedule are going to be confirmed tomorrow. But for now we can say it's going to be a straight-shot week to week series starting October 21th (although a pre-season race this weekend may come together) and ending December 9th. 8 rounds, 2 dropped rounds taking only your best 6 results. No heats, only one feature race. The other more interesting news is that we are changing our track boundary rules. JGTS 2 will utillize a "at least 2 tires must remain on tarmac at all times for a lap to be considered clean" track definition. This is fairly straight forward for most circuits, details on certain unique circuit boundaries will be revealed in proper time. No winner's ballast this time. All other regulations from JGTS 1 are being kept virtually the same. Green flag time for racing will be every Sunday at 18.00 UTC/GMT. Connection time (the time the race room will be opened) will be 17.00 UTC/GMT in which we recommend all racers to be within at least 30 minutes before race start for warm ups and briefings.

Yeah, we just gotta figure out which track we would use for the pre-season since we don't want it to be one that's already on the schedule... right now it's looking like that track may be Indy... but I want the pre-season track to be more interesting than a draft-fest... so possibly GVS or Autumn Ring...?

All information will be put here once it's finalized. The other sections of the forum are only open to administration collaborators.

I'm down for GVS

We still have a few more tweaks to the car specs listed in the OP.

What's left to decide is:
CASTROL TOM'S SUPRA: 512 or 517 bhp
WEIDER HSV-010: 40/65 or 30/60 allowed aero

Perhaps take another look at the BANDAI DIREZZA, but initially, it seems perfectly fine.

This need to be sorted before we start assigning cars.

Is running max aero easier to police. That would be a heavy influence IMO.

Posted on site.
But in short, for the same reasons I thought the specs were good when people wanted to upgrade the HSV, I still think they're good when people want to handicap it. Possibly a slight handicap, either 517hp 35/60aero or 512hp 40/65aero, with the rest of the field close to as it is.

I like 512 and full aero best 👍. Also put my name in that lottery please :D.

So about the preseason/testrace this Sunday...

I don't care what the track is specifically, but I would prefer it be a medium-average speed track to best get a feel on the cars.

Indy?
SSR5?

............ 💡

Nürburgring Nordschleife?
