Guess I'm the only one that's beyond fuming right now. Frankly, I might not even bother with Suzuka. 👎

There was a time I would have felt the same way, but **** happens, what can you do? "shrug"
I'm pretty sure I was close enough to make the pass on RT for second, and crashed in the final turn, finishing 7th, not sure how much more frustrating it could really get.

And here was your pace car for the race. ;)

In retrospect, that's a lot worse.

Today wasn't a good day for me, overall. I got zero breaks, none.

1. Lost tire noise.
2. Everyone switched to hards without me knowing.
3. Everyone somehow had gobs more hp (or less downforce) because I was slooooow on the straights.
4. Messed up bus stop so many times, not helped by #1.
5. Never had clean air.
6. cicua dive-bombed me into bus stop. Wasn't too pleased so I pushed. Banged the wall exiting bus stop a lap later.
7. Last lap, got a nudge just enough to send me into grass at the hairpin. Lost any hope for what became podium.

Yeah, my bad mood carried over to the Miata series. Fortunately, the result there made up for it, but I still deleted the replay.

Smexy pace car there.

I actually made that to GT4 specs to test it out. Figured I'd break it out as a pace car just for the fun of it.

Yeah, absolutely nobody told me they were switching tires. I had no idea anyone had changed until I hit Watch Race and Nepalii happened to be on Hards, after asking me to check that he was on mediums.

This wont happen again. Next week, if you want to switch tires after I check them, please tell me.

I checked cicua's tires and RT's and both were on hards so I decided to do the same. :D Then I found out pretty much everyone was on hards.:dunce: Crazy stuff.

I didn't like it because you guys were giving me false hope.

I figured "wow, I'm keeping up pretty good on hards" when I was actually not.

When I got the lead after the first pit stop, I figured everyone I thought started on Mediums would need to switch to Hards so I was going to put a nice gap on the field.

Little did I know.... :ouch:

Basically, it comes down to this:

If RT wins the race next week, he wins the championship no matter what Nepalii does. If Nepalii wins the pole, they will be tied, but RT will win due to having 3 wins. If Nepalii wins the race, he wins the championship no matter what RT does.

RT must finish at least 2nd if Nepalii doesn't win, because he essentially is guaranteed to get at least 3rd place points due to his drop. Again, if Nepalii gets the pole and this happens, they will be tied, but RT will win due to having more 2nd place finishes (same amount of wins).

The hards were a last minute decision because so many others were on hards. The test race told me that Nepalii and I could quickly end up alone in front on meds. And with only one peer, it only takes one small mistake to lose the draft. So I thought it more safe to join the larger group on hards, and as a bonus have Nepalii driving alone in front without draft from anyone.

And wow I did good on those hards, keeping up so well with Nepalii... until it dawned on me...

Dont know what you mean by that. I overtook you before the bus stop at both lap 25 and 26, both times clearly ahead before braking. The only contact we had was you bumping my rear in the middle of the bus stop. After which you got grass under the wheels at exit and hit the wall.

I messed up the bus stop at other times, but not these ones.

So the way to solve a tie is to count best results? I have 4 4th's, outlaw has 2 3rd's (and 2 5th's), so if we tie, he will win. Hmm... makes sense.

Anyone run a few laps yet at Suzuka? Did a few laps and got down to 56.1. The car feels like crap. :yuck: Looking for mid 55s, low 55s.

I may run some laps in a few hours.

Edit: Your car feels like crap? Drive mine, and welcome yourself to low 57's. 👎

Edit 2: Better setup, 56.3 after a couple laps. Spun out on lap 3.

At least I'm in the neighborhood. 56.33 but I can only run 56's twice before the tires fall off.

Yeah, Im also having problems with the tires. I can only do 2 laps on 56's. After that, the car has no tires specially the front. I get a bit of understeer on many corners :ouch:

Yeah noticed that too. After a couple laps the tires are already at 3/4.
So tire wear is going to be a big factor in this race. Gee, I wonder who that benefits. :sly:

You can save tires, you just have to go slower. But the general online population likes to race at 110% effort, so actually there's no such thing as patience. :)

Let me say right now, that I don't have the laps set right now, but the race will be 125 miles.

And we're going back to the standing start. :)

That translates to around 34-35 laps, and with the wear on these tires, coupled with pit stops, I'm guessing 2 minutes each lap on average.

Oh, a little over an hour which, given how hard this car is to drive around here, means using a more comfortable setup.

I said this and I'll say it again: I am screwed. I think RT has this race in the bag. Tire wear is a big flaw on my driving and it's probably going to kill me on the race. Will try to work a setup to avoid as much tire wear as possible.

Ok, so Nepalii has the points lead, but it's actually easier for Turbo to win?
That is awesome, maybe I can drive a wedge between them. :D
