I don't have the gears written down yet, basic tranny trick, reset to default, set top speed to minimum, lower final drive until the top speed is around 210mph.
Move first gear all the way left, second a little bit left, third a little right, and 4th, 5th, and 6th each a bit quicker than the one before it.

Will be there in a few mins. 👍

Edit: Have a room open for someone to come qualify me and if anyone wants practice:

I told cicua to go make a room when we were in the FMSC room. Is he in your room, or in a new one?

Do you guys need me in there, or can you watch yourselves like big boys?

Watch out, he might forget all about your laps. :P

I saved the replay ;) I think... lol

Oh and thanks for the setup. Really helpful. I did change it a bit though. Different driving styles.

Ride Height: 8/8
Spring: 13.8/12.8
Dampers(EX): 8/8
(COMP): 8/8
Anti Roll: 5/5

LSD: 9
20
17

I softened my springs a bit too, lowered the shocks a bit, and raised the LSD as well, just not as much.
I'm gonna do a tire wear test tonight.

Hey, now. Do you know how many people I've Q'ed the last two days? Probably half of PURE, it feels like. Besides, I was awake for 16 hours at that point.

Anyways, pulled off a miracle 1:40.910 after a small adjustment. It will probably be all downhill from here, though. :dunce:

Before I forget, you may want to give us an accurate number of laps, Mule. I ain't doing 67. :sly:

Don't forget my lap :P. It says 67 laps?! :scared: Mule is trying to kill us.

Sorry, guys I'm pulling out of the RX-7 series, I would like to have my weekends back so I'm trying to limit my races and this was the only one I'v already missed so many races in.
Have fun guys

I ran a 41.3 during free practice; and while I was obviously not expecting that for my quali, I was hoping for a 41.7 or maybe 41.8... but as I enter the last corner of the track on my warm up lap... I hear the phone ringing! Yeah, nearly 2am GMT+1 and my phone's ringing. Of course I'm home alone, so nobody picks it up, and it keeps making noise for two whole laps (damn insistence). Of course, besides the annoying and unfocusing sound, I was worried as phonecalls so late usually mean bad stuff.

Relieved it was nothing bad at all. But still, what are the chances the phone would be sounding for the exact four minutes my two timed laps are to take place? It's ridiculous.

And with Daytona being the draft fest it is... tomorrow will just be one of those great races again. Oh well. Not all races are good!

Im going Meds, hards, meds. Draft + Full tank + Hards = DEATH! Im not THAT insane!
At this point, there's no hope for a championship so might as well try stealing a win. Everyone knows how much I stink with draft effects and with everyone in the 41s, I just want to run by myself, and hope for a big incident.

Whoa cicua! Really close to my time! But I got faster lap :sly:

Congrats on that

I am happy with it, was the best lap I did tonight. Not like you turning flat 41's, or outlaw who did his 40.9 just before I q'ed

--

I would like to avoid bump drafting tomorrow, it is too dangerous in those banked corners. There is plenty of space for overtake which I believe pays off better anyway.

Thanks. I think its going to be an intense race tomorrow. I cant wait.

I need to run wear tests on the meds. Tried the hards, and for the first time this season, I don't like them. Still thinking about using them at the start.

It certainly is risky starting on hards, but if well managed it can pay off. It did pay off for me at Tsukuba :D I'm on pole, so Im not risking it.

It should have payed off for me as well. :indiff:

Like I mentioned before, car is junk behind someone. Besides, I'm guessing that all the pack racing's going to slow people down.
I might join you.
How's your time on the hards? I've only done one quick test and anything below a 33 is dicey. So much trouble exiting the last chicane with them. :ouch:
