I thought you meant it would be unfair from a lap time perspective. That's why I questioned it, but yea I didn't think of it from an excluding people perspective. I have to agree you have a point there. Do you know if the SMS community events from pCars 1 allowed all assist?

IIRC you were allowed to use as many assists as you wanted.

@IanBell

As user of Project CARS 1, two questions very important for me:

-The replays in Project Cars 2 allows you moving freely along all the session to search what you want? or you only have the option of use fast forward as in Project Cars 1? It’s impossible to find anything because you don’t have a slider or lap counter to move where you want. Also if you want to see something happened in the last lap of the race, you have to see the replay of all the event. It was crazy.

-How is implemented the DRS in PC2? In PC1 every player can use DRS in any place, and any circumstance, so it’s not useful to overtake (that is for it was designed). Even worse, if the car ahead you also uses DRS too, is harder to pass him than without DRS, because with less drag in both cars, the slipstream effect is lower. So the DRS as it was designed in the game, difficults overtaking. Occurs the same in PC2?

I remember asking this in PC1 and the answer was that FOM license doesn’t allows using DRS zones in the same way as in Formula 1. But could be possible that the DRS could only be activated when you are close to your rival ahead? In this way the DRS could be used as designed.

Thanks in advance

@IanBell

I am looking forward to using the three screen set-up with PCars 2. Would having a PS4 Pro be a significant advantage in that case, or can a standard PS4 handle it okay?

Cheers, Zo.

Thanks Bealdor, a money saving element, in my case...
In order to do it on Playstation you'd have to have three Playstations and the game would have to support it. I think it was a supported feature for GT5 and GT6, but I don't think there are any other games which even support triples on console.

I just thought of something small.

In career, will you see certain AI drivers in multiple series'? In other words if I race Joe Shmoe in Karts is there a chance I will see him again in higher levels?

What's the deal with Dodge's absence?

Blame Chrysler's lack of racing history. They really don't have any presence in the classes SMS has focused on so it's no surprise to see them absent. Granted they could have added the recent Viper, but seeing how it's no longer eligible for GT3/GTE it would be an odd addition.

I would love to see them included though if they added late-90's GT2 (Viper) or Super Touring (Stratus) cars though.

Yes, you read that right, they made a Super Touring version of the Stratus.

It's called reality, welcome to it.

This. Is. What. Happens. In. Real. Life.

Thanks for the chuckle though lol

DRS in real life let you open the wing in some sectors of the track and with been a second or less behind the car in front.

The car in front if he isn't a second or less rear a other car he can't open his DRS.

So You can pass him more easily.

That is why they made the DRS system and his rules in real life.

In Project C.A.R.S you Can open the DRS all the time you want around the tracks and the other drivers also.
There isn't real life rules.

I just like implement a kers system that allows you have an "extra" boost non stop....
That make no sense no? Well, the same with the DRS as it is implemented..

So hopefully @IanBell gives me an answer on the DRS system implementation in the second game and if it's now implement with the real life regulations

Someone answered you on the official forums. It's the same as pCARS 1.

My apologies, I thought you were complaining about the way DRS worked, and obviously if both cars have it then no advantage. I should have realised you were talking about the activation being the issue.

As somebody who has already pre-ordered the digital deluxe edition,
I'm wondering when the game will be made available for download on
PSN. Is it precisely at 12AM (BST) on the 22nd or will it be some time later
during the day? Would be great to know, in order to be able to plan out the day better.

Please @Kitten when you have a spare minute would you kindly edit your thread title.
It's Slightly Mad Studios. Some letters are missing right now.

Oh, thanks. I did not know that (I'm not on the PS4 very often).
So will it be locked for two days and we have to wait
for it to be opened up by SMS, or can we actually play it two days
in advance of the proper release on the 22nd?

From the counter on PS Store It works out at 00.00 (midnight) 22/07/2017 BST.

From what I gather the pre-order is available for download a day or two before actual release day. That offers those who pre-ordered digital download versions to be able to download before actual release date. As you know these downloads can take quite a while to finish downloading so it gives a bit of a head start to begin the downloading and completion process so you won't have to bother with that on release date 22nd September. You wouldn't be able to play the game before the 22nd however having already completed the downloading you would be good to go on said 22nd once you've completed.

When you pre-ordered there was a count-down timer activated indicating when you could begin downloading. If you check your "Library" where your apps and purchases are stored you'll see the count-down timer in the slot that the pre-ordered game is stored. If you don't have your settings set for "Automatic downloading" (I don't think I have mine set for that either) don't forget to check the day or two before and manually begin the downloading process. It's what I intend to do.

Does anyone else's PS4 in a time zone other than BST say the game will unlock at midnight?

Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out.
