Hello everyone,

a quick question:

Does the AI in the singleplayer races, WTC 700, 800, 900 and so on go to the performance limit?
Or do you race with factory cars, such as Group 3 at 750 PP?
I would be interested to know in order to assess my performance.
In the WTC 800 races, for example, I can't manage the races on the hard difficulty level with factory settings.
If I go to the performance limit of 800 PP, it's hardly a problem.
Hence my question.
Thanks for the feedback

No one can tell for sure, but it seems the AI cars will simply be setup to a certian point that can be higher then the limit the player is bound by (like the Alfa Gulia GT-AM on the Nordschleife) - at least I dont know how I would emulate that setup with the same pp limit.
If they are slower it doesnt necessarily mean they have lower pp, but could simply be instructed to drive slower.

Sometimes it seems like they are tuned or even simply manipulated to go faster than is possible with the regular cars but it is hard to tell.
This is true. Some of the races with the AI driving the Guilia has the car accelerate at a rate of speed that just is not possible with that car, even at max horsepower. I’ve literally watched replays of races in the cockpit of the Giulia and it accelerates as if it is running N2O but there is no indicator on the display info that the car is using nitrous. So the programming of the AI is just whatever the game wants it to be. It’s all part of the rubber banding programming the game has built in to it.

If the car needs to slow down to help you catch up, it slows down. If you start getting too close it speeds up in ways that go against the traction and acceleration limits the car would actually have.

Hi,

thanks for the feedback.

It does explain a lot how, for example, Igor Fraga can do 5 laps on the Sardegna Grind on gas.

I can do that with the Supra but not with the highest fuel setting at 1.

I would appreciate it if the PP points of the AI drivers were listed before the start, just like the performance used to be with the AI, like in GT1 or 2 I think it was.
