Not too ricey, but the sign on the roof won't add any downforce

I'd say that the added chrome tat, especially the 'H' badges on the mirrors, the bonnet scoop and the chrome rims and the 'Lexus' lights make it the perfect example of the phrase 'rice'

I dont think that is really the driving shool's car, maybe it is the student driver's and they put the sign on to warn others. All the diving schools I know have Ford Taures'

All the ones in my area have 1.6l Subaru Imprezas. That's an insult...

we're cheap around here, they use whatever they can get for a low price. i've seen that civic around alot and I can safely say it's not just a students.

It makes some sense since the cars weight is well balanced as it is and it might get some cleaner air...it makes it look a little like those sprint cars.

Cleaner air? In what sense, cleaner=unpolluted or cleaner=not in the draft of some other car?

Cleaner air in this case would be catching un-disturbed air by being above the airflow around the rest of the car. Autocrosses are solo, and unpolluted air, well that's just whack.

Brings back images of Chaparals and other Can Am cars, where everyone used clean-air spoilers.

The picture is questionable because of its efficiency vs. a standard splitter/wing/diffuser combo.

In my opinion, it's a questionable too - the unpolluted air thingy was a joke. Plus, such a big spoiler, placed in the middle, and so high, might change the balance of the car, highten the centre of gravity, and scrape off tunnel-roofs... Plus, it looks rather hideous.

Wait, it's an autocross car? I guess I should have read first. Anyway, I don't think it's necessary at all then. At autocross speeds, one would think that the spoiler would slow the car down more than any benefits it would create with the added weight, drag, and a raised center of gravity.
