The TV licence is one of the few things I'm happy being taxed on. I watch more BBC programming than anything else, they make more programs that I actually want to watch than anyone else, and I appreciate the lack of commercials.
Get rid of your telly and just use iPlayer then. You don't require a license to use it. Yet.

Indeed - since iPlayer isn't a broadcast.

A property requires a licence if you have a TV hooked up to an aerial or cable/satellite feed, or a PC used for watching live TV. It doesn't if you have a TV for a VCR/DVD/BD/HDDVD player or games console, or a PC used for watching after-the-fact programming like iPlayer and 4OD.

I thought this was a thread about cars, NOT British TV?

+1

Apart from the advert free TV channels if it wasn't for the TV licence fee we wouldn't have BBC news, Cbeebies (I have a 2 year old son, you'll understand if you've had to watch other childrens TV channels), BBC.co.uk, BBC Nature (Planet Earth, Life etc), BBC World Service, BBC Radio (but not Radio 1 because I'm old now ;) ).

Sorry Joey D :sly:

Jaguar XK8 Shooting Hearse?

Almost awesome. Just stumbling at the last hurdle, and presumably put down by the vet.

Apparently owned by Jonathan Ross's wife Jane Goldman.

I don't see what's wrong with it. It's three kinds of awesome.

Except for the fact that you can't fit any coffins over four feet long in there...

I was actually thinking about this the other day... if I made a hearse out of a sportscar, how many people would pay to use it?

Guess great minds think alike.

If it's on bags I like it. If not, than it's a little too low. And I've never really cared for the yellow wheels on those.

It's got to be on bags, a static drop like that would just be stupid. I mean it's laying frame....errr sub frame.

The only thing that really strikes me as strange is that the picture's been taken at a street show in front of a movie theater.

Car shows happen all over the place, there used to be one around here that was at the local high school.
