Just saw this today at school.

Im stopping by during lunch to test it. With those miles I bet the thing squeaks and rattles and all the belts are within a mile of bursting off the pulleys. Depending on who owned it, I'm guessing it's had all of...4 oil changes - ever. Could be a great car (at 4k) if it was maintained, or a money pit for the sucker who gets it.

so it's more than double the price it should be (which in itself is questionable)

what's with the miles? is it odometer discrepancy or has it been sitting for most of it's life

It's nearly 3 times more than what its worth. I have one CARFAX report left from when I got the Focus, so I may use it on this, depending on how the interaction goes this afternoon...

Either if it's been sitting, or if there is a discrepancy, this car needs to be approached with caution. Whoever the ultimate buyer is needs to know that parts still age, regardless of miles. Anything not made of some sort of metal will need to go, assuming that it hasnt already.

Update**

Took it for a drive. Got thrown out of the dealer when I said I'd buy if for NADA/BB value.

You'd think that a guy with enough scratch to own a Cayman would've invested some money in a body kit to match that wing, but nooo...:sly:

While the wing itself is a little bit ridiculous, it IS about the same size as the ones being used on those race-bred, turbocharged Caymans that raced at the Nurburgring 24 Hours.

No, that's the new Cayman Clubsport Turbo GT3RS Black Edition. You can tell by special the stitching under the seats and the tires come from the factory with 35.5psi. Totally worth the $40,800 upcharge.

I see. On a serious note, I once configured base 911 to about the double of the base MSRP

Don't you mean 35.6 psi? or is that reserved for the special commemorative anniversary edition only?
