Anyway...

Donks are inherently dangerous, aren't they? The high ride height and big wherls mean you're more likely to go over someone in the event of a crash, and they can't be that light...

I would've thought that they would also rollover pretty easily.

So true, so true...
On another note, does anybody know how donks came about?

They're no different than a lifted truck or SUV.
Exactly. I had a friend get rear-ended by a lifted truck in his Focus, and he was lucky it didn't kill him. The front-left tyre stopped directly over top of the driver's seat. If the car had a squishier roof, he'd be dead.

On a different note, Focuses are really bloody durable. My step-dad and two of my friends have gotten into some pretty serious accidents in theirs, and none of them even have a scratch to show for it.

And now more horrible abominations from the automotive world:

First: I can't believe that you can legally drive that ''thing'' on public roads...

Second: nomnomnom, that town car was gooood.

So true, so true...

IIRC the word was first used on a RIDES magazine cover featuring cars with ridiculously huge wheels. Hopefully it will die out soon. As a fan of american land yachts from the 70's, it pains me to see such great luxury cars ruined.

Slicks are really quite underrated on grass.

By the way, I've actually driven a Lamborghini powered tractor :D

But that was because the tractor was made by Lamborghini.
And the engine was a diesel.
Probably maxed out at about 20 km/h.

And then there's this, because more is more:

The bodywork is electromagnetic and the rest... just sort of happened while driving to the exposition center.

That's my hypothesis anyway.

One around here too... THEY'RE EVERYWHERE. Red Bull's way of dominating the market?

^

I've posted these before, but I actually kinda like these cars.
(Are they still donks if they don't have the lift?)

Not so much the Camaro because it can't be used as a sports car, but the quality of the end product looked very high when I was there.

And that fuchsia paint was so nice too.

Edit:
This wasn't some "hood" operation though.

F1, sponsoring WRC, lending the name to a fictional racer, air races, soapbox races, sponsoring SebLoebs epic Pikes Peak record run, dropping a lunatic from space and... MINIs?!?

Pretty OTT- Coca-cola got just as much attention for writing names on their bottles...
