I don't know how old that is, but it's in pretty good shape.

I don't understand the point of putting the tires outside the wells though...gross. Just slam it.
Sometimes it makes the vehicle look more aggressive but it depends on the vehicle. Trucks or muscle cars make it work.

I notice the plate says abflug. That's actually the noise I made whilst drinking my coffee and seeing this.

Abflug is the company that made the bodykit for that car, and made several others for other cars as well, most of them quite questionable. At this time it's almost nostalgic, as that car is maybe 15 years old by now. And it had like a gazillion horsepower or so.

I figured that would be the case.

Either way, the 80's called, and it want's it's monstrosities back!

That it is posted in this thread, because it's absolutely awesome. But I love how, for people, lowering a car on a nice set of wheels (legendary even, Work Equip 01s, or at least repros of that) is "stanced" or "questionable". I lol at this often. Quite often.
Questionable is kinda subjective. One mans good is another mans awful, in every walk of life.

Exactly what is wrong with this car?
Usually when someone says "I like stanced cars" I think of an Evo, BRZ, 370Z or some other sports car. Not an old Toyata Cressida. If it was a stanced NSX than I wouldn't have put it in this thread, but it isn't. Unless this Toyota has some heritage I don't know about than I see it as wierd, but it's still an ugly car.

The whole point of this thread was for cars like this:

Hack jobs, crappy cars with cheap crappy modifications... things that everyone will agree are awful. And somehow 900hp Porsches and old school Toyotas got mixed into this. There's a difference between thinking something is questionnable because you're clueless as to what it is, and something that is actually questionnable, like that Metro McQueen up there. It's like that yellow Ruf CTR2 everyone kept posting a few years ago, with the double rear spoiler.

Yes, that very car. And the "OMG LOL we heard you like downforce so we put a wing on your wing so you can downforce while you downforce" comments that goes with it. And then you notice the slicks, the rollcage, and you learn that this car held countless hillclimb records for production cars in the US for quite some years, and I ask you, what's questionnable about it? That it's ugly? So is this:

And it still worked pretty good, I'd say. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and it's usually a matter of opinion, but knowing what you're looking at is a big plus. If it's ugly but it works, it's not questionnable.

Now, that Corolla might not be a racecar, but a low stance and wide wheels is the proper way to modify these cars, and to be fair, the only way.

You'll also notice something very questionnable in the background of the Geo Mcqueen picture, someone bought a Chrysler Sebring Convertible. And a VW Routan. Dear god. :P

I think a stanced Evo or NSX should very well be in this thread. The other two are very much borderline. The older vehicles pull off stance way better then newer counterparts. Either way, its all the more questionable if you stance a car with heritage, rather then a car without.

Either way, I like lowered cars that are old, new, fast, slow, popular or not, as long as they are similar to how that Toyota is. Never liked the over the top stuff.

Apparently, the owner called it 'art', and it was an exhibition outside an art museum.:odd:

Art????? ART?????

Anything can be art these days... 👎

These 2 are just glorious!!!

If I recall correctly, that particular model has about 1000hp. (Thanks Forza Motorsports 1 :D) Insanity!!!! 👍

I get what you're saying @-Fred- , but I still would never do that to my car if I owned that. I'm sure the guy that put the wagon wheels on the Hummer a few posts up was happy with his mods. But we see it as "questionable." I'm sure that the Toyota's owner loved the stance on his/her car. But I didn't, thats why i posted it here. You may not think its "questionable" but I do. As for the racing cars with 6 wings and F1 cars with male genitals on the front may help the car, but they're still weird looking.

Sure, thats fine with me, I'm not to fond of the appearance either, but can you answer the question then?

Was just using that, as thats what he said.
Yes I think its ugly, but that isnt the only reason why I think it's questionable. Why you would stance your car for everyday use is beyond me, you ruin the ride and the tires will wear out faster. It looks okay parked, but driving it regularly is terrible. It's just my opinion, and thats all.

👍 all I was wondering.

Although, why else would you stance a car, if its not to drive it? I'm confused as to why its ok for a NSX, but not an older Toyota. Your not ruining much on that older car, but you are ruining the sole purpose of the NSX.
