Lime Green Del Slow-Another reason it makes me ashamed to live in CT, this first was that suprarri.

You know how embarrasing it would be to get beat by that 300ZX.

Hopefully, those 2 modifications in the lower front bumper add some sort of power....

Welcome to 1993, when the car came out... that's how it was dubbed from the beginning... ;)

alright, but my rant is the double tailpipes on a 4 cylinder engine in line... the conversion costs are forbidding (I had 6-cyl Mustang and wanted to do it), and it's nothing more than cosmetic. Plus, I'm almost sure only one of them is functional.

It's very simple to buy a double taillpipe conversion for a 4 cylinder engine... It's not cosmetic either... A single pipe comes off the header, and splits into two pipes exiting out the back...

Now, it's not going to help performance either... In fact, the only thing it can do is hinder performance, as it adds unneccesary bends in the pipe hurting exhaust flow... Therefore, it is indeed questionable, I just thought I would point out the facts...

;)

and since it's such an expensive modification, some people tend to just put an extra tailpipe behind the car without bothering to put the complete system. I see it here a lot... you'll notice one tailpipe is blackish while the other one is shiny like new.

So it's cosmetic.

Where you saw it might explain a bit..

That's not right... Black doesn't look good with Silver for the Durango.

Yes, I live in a hick town and that was Sonic Drive-in I was at. :sly:

Expensive?... It's no more than a regular aftermarket exhaust setup...

So it's cosmetic.

Nope... It's still functional, just less functional...

Cosmetic would be gluing an extra pipe on the back, not connected to anything...

heh i actually like that first one! a tipo aint it? as stock i never liked the car too boxy n all but with some nice rims and an acceptable spoiler it looks ok.
just hope it has the power to back up those looks 👍

I guess I dont understand why that Durango is questionable. Completely stock body, jacked up suspension with some off road wheels and tires. Sounds about right to me.

Anyways, saw this on the lunch break today. Pic came out awful but I will have to describe it.

Obviously he could only afford 2 rims, this picture doesnt really show the extent of how badly this car was stickered up. I dont think he had time to finish this side yet. The other side of the car had those little flame decals all over the side, and a "Fear This!" sticker on the gas cap door. Fear what, your gas tank? Flame decals also on the hood and front bumper, and you can also barely make out the dog hood ornament.

The saddest part is, I have seen this car around for a few weeks, and its in very clean shape bodywise. When I first saw it it had no stickers all over it, and just had the mis matched rims and the front bumper has a crack in the lower middle of it. Could have been saved but fell into the hands of "someone with questionable automotive tastes".

Could have been saved but fell into the hands of a mexican.

You know, saying that a car fell into the hands of a Mexican, as it's a bad thing, is politically incorrect :boggled:

Man oh man, you just cant tell the truth sometimes....anyways you're right, this isn't the place for stereotyping, even if I know it to be the truth in this particular case. Anyways I edited my post. ;)

The truth is, the car was handed over to someone with questionable taste, that just happens to be Mexican... Every race has it's share of "ricers"... The fact that you made it (and are continuing to do so) a race issue is what is so distasteful...

;)

I guess now I am confused because the term "ricers" is acceptable?

I dont want this to be any sort of argument and I am not trying to defy authority. I admitted my wrong and corrected it yet I am continuing to make it a race issue in poor taste? How?

So would you rather my entire previous post be removed or what? I dont quite see what you want because I thought I fixed my error.

Or am I just taking this all a little too seriously? ;)

Yes, it is... The term is not used as a race specific putdown... You see a Mustang GT with Nos stickers all over, and a 4 foot high wing, and he's a "ricer".... You see a Honda Civic hatch with unpainted body kit panels, repainted stock rims, and red "Race" nylon seat covers, and guess what, he's a "ricer" too... Yes, the term originated from Japan... However, the term has evolved to cover all questionable stylistic modifications done in the quest for "style"...

Whereas, singling out a race for having poor taste, is a grosse over-generalization...

"anyways you're right, this isn't the place for stereotyping, even if I know it to be the truth in this particular case."

The point is, it's not the truth in any case... The gentleman has poor taste because of a general lack of style, not because he was born a Mexican...

Do you see now why I said you are continuing to make it a race issue?...

Anyway, not a big deal... You obviously didn't mean it in a truly demeaning manner... You just need to be careful when throwing around such statements...

You know what sucks here, those rims on the rear are sweet as hell, they really fit that car...but then he left the stock rims on too...haha what a douchebag.

Here's a couple of closer pics of that poor NSX being beaten to death. Notice the bottom of each tailpipe, left corner near the turn signal lamp, and to the right of the Acura badge for the body damage--there's a crack from the acura badge near the black spot to the other black spot. It has also been keyed AND the one good rim has curb scuffs on it.
