I remember seeing them on Excursions and stuff a LOT about 10 years ago, maybe less.

These bulky grille guards were a lot more popular a decade ago when SUVs such as this first-gen Sequoia were booming, but they're rather rare to see today, much like spinners on wheels. They certainly haven't aged well.

I actually don't mind them. Actually like them.

It depends what they're mounted on. Something like that, they don't work at all, but on the right truck I think they look fantastic. For example, here's an almost identical brush guard on my dad's F250.

He had a W210 amg and the only thing that didn't rust over were the wheels. He had to put them to good use

I don't see the point of making a light duty truck into a dually. The rear fender flares looks cool but put a wider tire, the dual tires looks just stupid on a small truck.

It doesn't look bad, especially in your picture, just the fact its Mercedes rims makes him look like a bit of a clown. Surely you can get aftermarket rims that look almost the same, or remove the logos at least.
