Is it just me, or do comments on news articles here seem more toxic than ones in threads? People are going ape:censored: all over the site, but it seems a bit more rude on the news articles.

Fixed.

Fixed in a manner which could not be construed as offensive to thirteen year olds.

Anyway, in all seriousness, I can imagine that the reason why the comments would be even more toxic than those in the forums would be because the news articles are the first thing which one sees on the main page once they've entered the site, and that's where the highest proportion of the Hermione's and the flamers head as a result.

Anyway, I this thread is supposed to be for questions about mods, and we're just heading a wee off topic right now, so maybe we might want to ensure we don't go completely off.

When you engage on a forum, you invest something of yourself in it. It's like going to school. You dress up, comb your hair, sharpen your pencils and tie your shoes properly. You stand in front of the class to "Introduce Yourself!", then head on down to your favorite club... the "Opinions and Current Events" club, the "Movies" club or simply head down to class at the "Gran Turismo 6" room. Obviously, there are still a lot of spanners, but they get kicked out fairly quickly, and a core group of model and borderline acceptable students forms.

Comments on news articles, much like Youtube comments, are like bathroom walls. Nobody thinks they have to follow proper decorum. They're simply tagging them so other people will see their names. Granted, some of us comment seriously, but a lot of people don't give two :censored:s.

Are mods allowed to have people on their ignore list? Or do they have to suck it up...

Allowed to? Yes. If there's something worth investigating then we'll take care of it regardless if the offenders are ignored or not.

Do Mods have a special private message section where other Mods cannot read their messages?

Yes, they're called private messages. :P

Only Jordan can investigate private messages if necessary.

Ever seen Moon? We keep spares.

Also @Famine's DNA is backed up - it would be too dangerous to have actual clones stored in-case one was accidentally activated prematurely. Can you even imagine that?
So that's why he really has a degree in Genetics...
It all makes sense now. Famine is planning to slowly take over the world.

Mind you not this one of course, but Freeza planet 419...

*five cookies to whoever can get that reference.

And by the looks of it, he's gonna get away with it too. :dopey:

DBZ Abridged is one of the best things on youtube .

Since I posted here I think I must ask a question. Who are the mods and the rulers (Jordan) favorite and least favorite drivers (present and past)?

In a way, that might have already happen with @Famine having children.

The Great Famine Famine.

Yes, he will be replaced with Jordon.

Will we actually ever hear from Him? We have witnessed the name being mentioned for many times, but we still haven't heard anything from Him.

Are we just expected to put our faith in his supposed existence and omnipotence?

Some of us are yet to be enlightened, it seems.

Present favourite: I'm a huge McNish fan. He's just always seemed like such a gentleman, thoughtful in interviews without seeming to be collared by the handlers. I was genuinely sad when I heard he was retiring.

Present least favourite: Well, he only sort of counts now, but Paul Tracy. I don't even care if he's a local - it was Scarborough, after all. That explains a lot.

Past favourite: I'm not sure how to qualify them as "past", since it feels weird naming those I never got to watch live. I've got a strange list to narrow down: McRae, Lauda, and Clark.

Past least favourite: It feels strange to speak ill of the dead in this situation.
