This was a good moneymaker, 400,000+ credits per race not even winning. Penalties are 10 secs for collisions so the yobs get left behind. I used the 908 but the Nismos were pretty fast.

Couldn't get into the current prototype QM, but got into the historic QM. Back straight with no chicanes. Got rear-ended more times than in prison, but pulled out a win in the 787B. 970K+ for my pain. Good fun!

I actually enjoyed the couple of races that I ran. I used the R18 TDI and was generally better than the rest of the players, especially through the Porsche Curves. I was pleasantly surprised that the cars had RS tires on them. I might try the historic prototypes QM at some point this week.

the historic one has boost on:yuck:

The LMP1 one is a great moneymaker, got over a million for just over 7 minutes of driving.

I also had a little challenge for myself in the LMP1 QM that you guys might enjoy: total race time under 7 minutes.
The best I got was 7.01, but I only started 5th, and there where a few mistakes. Good luck!

If you can tolerate getting hammered on by idiots the first lap it settles down, the pay outs are sweet. Of course Nissans folly doesn't seem to get collision penalties, & has magical properties. It can drive right through you on the straights, & fly over sand without missing a beat. Of course most of the chuckle heads driving the thing need these wonderful things as the other cars can actually stay on the track.
I have only won this mess once, but it paid out 1.2 million credits. Third place shelled out 600,000+. You can earn some credits with this one.

The new Quick Match events are very cool, but when I finished 1 race, the game disconnected and then my PS3 froze. And the worst thing was that my PS3 didn't want to restart after the restore of file system. So, I got forced to format my PS3 from the Safe Mode :banghead: Thank God, I saved my data in a USB after the update with the GT-R LM, so I didn't lose so much game progress. I just won't touch the Quick Matches after that. I won't risk it this time

Best quick match until now .... only watch out for some cheaters who at the end of second lap cut off the chicanes before start and finish and pass you like that ... :ouch:

There is a 3 second slow-down penalty in the last turn (before start finish line - this is what I'm assuming), why people bother cutting it?

(Ironically, I did it... because I was desperate for the 30 second limit. PD needs to increase both penalty time in that section and finish time limit for this event)

Mark G 85 is a seriously **** driver. Rammer. No excuse for that.

A lot of these guys are good. But Mark G 85 is trash.

This is fun. The Audi is easy but the Nissan is fast.

Terjetruckdriver is another.

You can make some serious money even if you ended up 10th place, I got 230k with 110% login bonus, it should be over 400k if you have full 200%.

I have to say that these two events are awesome. I stayed up waaaaayyyyy to late on Saturday night. I had the 24 Hours of Le Mans streaming on the computer monitor and raced these two events for almost 4 hours. At first, I spent quite a bit of time swearing at the bombers flying in on lap one in every braking zone. Then I had to remember those late night "Dirty NASCAR" skills and drive pretty defensively for the first lap. It was pretty easy to predict where the braking zone challenged were going to approach the corner. Leave them a lane to the outside and they take it 99% of the time as you watch them fly over the gravel trap off into the distance. Once I started doing this, I absolutely dominated a few rooms. I spent almost two hours where I never left the podium, cranking up over 950,000 credits for wins.

Bought a couple of 20 mil cars from it. I plan to hit the rooms again during the week.

These 2 LeMans races are a blast, Just cruise around & collect credits. More than once the stupid system has let me race air for 800,000+ credits. I had to stop as I had hit the 50 million limit. I think it would have just let me keep running against air. There are some true knuckle heads running this race but, they spend a bunch of time in the kitty litter.

Never claimed to be fast... In fact I'm pretty slow, but, I'm old too does that count:)

No matter how fast I am in the technical parts of the track Circuit de la Sarthe, they always catch up. They will even have the same car as me, and will start the straight 3 seconds behind me, so there is no way for slipstreaming. Also, this is a quick match event that you must use a courtesy car, so there is no tuning. Is there something that I am missing? Is there a boost given to slower people? I really don't understand how they close in from 3 seconds to less than 1 second on the straights...

You can do the race adjust settings in this QM. Once on the Mulsanne you can relax and start changing TCS, BRake balance, etc. can help shave time off.

I use the Nissan and it simply reins in the other cars on the straights, and it's really fast in the Porsche curves but it's slow getting out of the couple of slow, tight corners. I'm noticing a very lot of people using the Nissan now.

This was aiming more toward the historic prototype Racecar battle in which my problem has been occurring. There are no chicanes in this one, so there is no real way to gain any more lead when your in front on that big straight.

:banghead: The last resort corner cutting at the final turns is what really makes me angry.
Agree,, and it seems many do it because the short cut penalty on the final lap through those chicanes is really of no consequence. PD could do something about that I would think,, if nothing else - make the penalty 1 lap. That would clean it up and make everyone accountable = good, fun and fair racing.

There ya go buddy, when we run the QM's we must remember why we're there - nothing other than $CREDITS$ and it really is EZ to pile 'em on and FAST!! IF we get away from the others and cross the FL in FIRST the prize is HUGE (yesterday I banked 1.2M for the win with 13 racers in the pack),, but even last place is over $200k so it's a WIN/WIN no matter where we end up. (In the Historic QM the Jag is blazing FAST at just over 222/223 mph and with NO TC it's pretty EZ to track a nice line all the way around). The GTR really does do a fine job as well as the Hybred TS30. YES,, we still can get blasted off the track as we brake for corners but as you said we need not fret the DIRTY RACERS because so many times we see them self destruct at some point anyway. I have learned to just smile, get back on track ASAP and continue driving MY LINE/MY RACE and many times I survive and finish near the top, on the podium or in #1 spot.
Occasionally we get lucky and find a room with a bunch of CLEAN and FAST drivers,, when that happens the QM's are a lot of fun!!

I have noticed far fewer Ford Chicane cutters this time than when there was a historic La Sarthe QM around the New Year. Back then if you didn't cut, you lost around 3-6 seconds to the field. I think that one was a one-lap race so the gaps were tighter. Even still, I can't see why PD won't institute a black-flag provision for blatant chicane cutting. It would put an end to it almost instantaneously.

Yes I have but I notice I'm the only one from the US in a full room. Does that matter? I'm not sure, just an observation. I'm also up into the early hours here in Ohio when the good cleaner races happen.

I've also spent an hour trying to even enter a room.

I'm also the guy that tries to be super clean and stops at the finish line to let other people by because I'm pegged at 50 million and have 500 cars that I don't even care about. Maybe the Kaz Magic senses that and pairs me up with other clean drivers. :D

If you keep trying you'll find the right room eventually. I've even found rooms where people on my friend list are there.

The historic race has boost set to on - this is why the slower cars catch you up. It's also the race where the final chicane cutters are more prevalent too. I was leading in a race last night where the guy who was in 5th place cut the last 2 chicanes and won!
