Race Adjust menu. Got to set it up by assigning buttons unless you have DFGT wheel.

The steering wheel that I have (Logitech) has a red button on the right which brings up a number of items that can be adjusted during the race, including TCS and brake balance.

Thank you both for this... to be honest, I've never used it before and totally forgot about it. Controller setup has now been changed to add this function.

Cheers

6:53 my god... I raced a guy from England who drove a 7:09 and I couldnt keep up. But there should be much improvement in some corners. I still make some mistakes to brake too early.
Love those high speed tracks with tight corners like Le Mans and Monza where it comes down to the EXACTLY right braking point and amount of braking. In the first few S-turns and the chicanes you can gain/lose seconds..

And it makes a lot of difference at what position you start. Once youre P1 - P3 you have a good chance to win, but P8-P12 is nearly impossible in crowded rooms where they all bump into each other right in front of you and you hit a car and get a penalty.

Btw I often get the notificiation 'Room not compatible - NAT-Type type 3 or something...', after test driving, very annoying.

I think I won more races starting from the last position than starting from pole. That might be my bad starting, but if you start from the last position, you have less chances to be bumped out by an idiot not braking, than if you're starting from pole. ;-)

That's true : ) I mostly have better experiences when starting from P1-P4, especially with the Toyota Hybrid. I think this one has the fastest accelaration from 0-xx km/h (at least, I Always take over the lead from start) and see a cloud of dust in the S-corners when the others all collide : ). Then it's a matter of staying in front, I guess the Audi's and the Nissan are faster on the straight ends and fast corners

I can regularly hit 7.09s now, driving the Toyota, but last night kept getting beaten by 10 seconds by someone from Saudi Arabia in the same car....... I find that the Toyota is the fastest starting car, and can get you ahead of the trouble at the first few corners, even if you start well down the grid. Driving standards seem to have improved too - maybe all of the rammers and shortcutters have got bored with this one!

Well done.. I just tried the Nissan and it's a lot faster on the straight sections. But I was in some horrible rooms a minute ago. Bumping sideways when you pass.. shortcutting the last corners before finish. What's the fun of that... damn those guys.
Though the last corner before the first straight section you can take a very 'wide' turn crossing the line without being punished, so that's not cheating right..

- Edit: and again. More than half of the cars at full speed ignoring the last corners, pathetic

It was a strange night last night - saw your name in the first room I entered, but just as the start countdown timer got to 3 secs the server connection was lost. The next room I entered, just as the Start sign came up, all other cars except one disappeared - the next problem was that he was about 0.5 kms up in the sky!
When I did eventually get into a stable room, the best I could run all night was a 7.14, even with a front row start and clean race - where had my 7.09s ability from the night before gone? Even that room wasn't perfect, as one guy was showing in the entry list twice, sometimes he was able to race, and sometimes he appeared as a ghost stationary at random points on the track.
That corner onto the Mulsanne Straight is a difficult one to get right, and I do tend to end up taking a wide line there myself, having said that, people that manage to take it really tight do seem to be much faster.

I seem to be having pretty good luck with the R18 Prototype. Had some good races against the TS030 and the GT-R.

It's also one of my faves to run as well. I usually run the Toyota because its launch capabilities are hard to ignore, but if I can't get in with that one, the Audi's usually work. The turn in with that car is so sharp and accurate, it turns corner carving into shaving with a brand new razor blade. It's doesn't hurt that it looks good either.

Cheers

Yeah those (same) ghosts appearing right next to the track at different points is pretty spooky ;) Saw it a couple of times at the Nurb.ring in online events too.
But not too bad you couldn't race in that first room.. it was like a kinder garten.

Managed to win two races in a row with the R18 Prototype.

Anyone completed this race under 7min? (for the corner cutting haters I only cut if i've built up a lead of more then 15 seconds) :-)

Look at post #66 for your answer. I assume it was legit.
I have seen a couple of times that were just under 7 minutes but they were set by chicane cutting cheaters and therefore are totally meaningless.
Thanks. 6:53 is crazy fast and I would assume requiring corner cutting as average lap is 3:26.5 is average lap and one of those laps is from a standing start + traffic.

I wouldn't take QM matches too seriously don't let cutters bother you. The event pays well and from time to time there's some good racing. I adapt to the other drivers in the room good or bad. :-) Cheers,

That's way out of my league.. But I think i'm done with this feature. I was drafting a guy at the long straight, who suddenly stepped on the brakes. Later on in the same race I was having a fair fight with a Nissan. At least i thought fair. The moment I passed him at Mulsanne he kicked me sideways , making me hit the obstacle and got a 10s(?) penalty  This, and the corner cutting (one out of three/four competitors when I looked back at some replays) makes it pretty ridiculous and making you act the same way.

That's the BEST policy bud,, adapt and conquer!
