Well I'm no touring car expert. I don't even have a touring car.:P

Well, which touring car you like best is a personal opinion anyway. I would have a XXX-S but I don't have the money, instead I am currently renewing my Yoke.

For the price, I'd say the TC3 is the best out there. Cars like the XXX-S are one league up imo.

Starting off in a TL-01 is fine, but after realizing handling is everything, you'll wish you had started off on a TC3. Besides, if you don't know what a setting does, you can just leave it stock and it'll do fine. But once you've learned how to tune the car, it's all right there 'cuz the TC3 is completely tunable.

XXX-S can be bought for the same money as a TC-3 over here. Indeed the top spec graphite XXX-S is cheaper than the Factory team TC-3! Whilst starting off with a TC-3 will give you a much better car, it will also give you a much more complex car which could prove daunting for the beginner. The TL-01 gives you a good simple car on which to learn before you go onto the more complicated stuff.

I think the the racer is maybe a little basic, the team is probably a better bet. Some of the bits in the factory team are wothwhile though, threaded shock bodies are very handy!

Does anyone know of the Tamiya Body for the 1/10 scale R33 Skyline shape (Kure, calsonic etc) ? Do you know if the body kits come clear or apinted. I know the kits exist but are no longer made.....want to order but need to know if they are painted or not THANXABUNCH

Thanx for the tip but i already have an account there :D , verrrrrrrrrry familiar with that website now. They dont carry the body i want, its an older body that i would have to order from tamiya as a spare part. its the Calsonic Gtr (R33 Version) Body Parts set and if ANYONE AT ALL has any idea if the body is already painted PLEASE let me know. 1/10 Scale btw thanx

It will come unpainted. The older skyline shells can be very hard to find. I would be interested to find out if Tamiya could supply these shells direct as I would really like to get my hands on some of the older stuff. I f all fails try good old ebay.

Checked again, its definatly an R34. I don't have any myself, although I really fancy the Group A R33 they did a few years ago. This is what the shell you have ordered will look like when it is done:
