Sorry for double post but just noticed this:

Seems Dano thinks he's on a skateboard!

He pulled that at Ascari too... Frikin' Skateboarding hooligans...
If James May saw that, he'd call him a yobbo.;) :dopey: Though I imagine this might be dubbed a Mario Kart-esque Easter Egg.:D

Bit off topic but oh well. Today I got my first ever trophy in karting I came 3rd I am over the moon.
Well done dano 👍 did you fly over the top of anyone in that race ? :)
It's karting - he obviously did.

Anyways, I would like to look into joining in this series, but I'm unsure as to how many open slots there are and add to that there's a anime club whose meetings I try to go to on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month.

 Here comes the influx of Audi "make it rain" comments.

Also, @CAMikaze, I looked into which timezone you're in. This week's race will be at 4 PM in our timezone. You are welcome to join us to try out the series in any of the cars with a number other than 0 listed above. 👍

Well... There hasn't been any rain yet. :grumpy: Not once. Quit Anti-Nassing!

Where is AH geographically based?
In terms of stars? Mountain formations? Mt. Fuji's base, in Japan.

In terms of ITCC creative license? Portimao, Portugal, near Algarve. (The real circuit is nicknamed "the Algarve") and Apricot Hill reminds me most of Algarve.

In fairness, anyone who even thinks they might have the best connection, might actually have the best connection.

That's our back-up plan, nas - finding whoever has the best connection. Whether it's Siggers or buck, someone will have the best connection. That person shall host.

That's not an ideal back up...

Yer lets try siggers so we can see what it's like spending at least an hour entering a room then leaving, entering a room then leaving, entering then ......etc etc

That's the ideal back-up. We need to see, on the day of the event, whose connections best supports us. This week, we might have 10+ drivers trying to join. I don't know if you realize how difficult it is to organize a lobby with 10+ drivers, who have various connection problems, but it can quickly get out of hand.

You need to give me some slack. Honestly, you and everyone else all need to be accomodated. If we kicked you out and ran without you, you'd be upset. So, don't be upset when we postpone the races 5-10 minutes so you can join.

You can't have both.

Y... You cannot be serious...

I understand DC... But if sitting there an hour screwing a about is the "ideal backup"... Then that's not even a back up. That's "let's wing it and see what happens."

Do you have any better ideas? Asides from "run the races with all of the invisible cars smashing into each other, because it's the most fun" which it isn't.

I'd wait two hours for really good racing. If you want good racing, you need patience. Stop complaining about my hosting, when all I'm doing is ensuring that the races are run fairly. No one will ever get an advantage, for as long as I know about the advantage.

Have everyone run connection tests, and have whoever has the highest numbers host.

Doesn't work like that. Whoever has highest numbers might still have uPnP enabled. That alone will cause mayhem. Not to mention port forwarding disabled, DMZ disabled, and firewall enabled.

I'm getting a headache just thinking about it. Numbers mean nothing on PS3. PS3 servers are rubbish at connecting people.

have everyone with uPnP disabled, and that have DMZd run this.

And I'm not trashing your hosting, if the races were long, it would be worth 2 hours of waiting, but two, 20 min races aren't very fun when waiting 2 hours....
