Thanks man, tough luck for you, running into Madforce round 2 was very unfortunate, all credit to you Madforce, a class act as always;) It appears as though both races were ultra tight, just curious as to what sort of lap times you 2 were pulling out during the 10 laps?

Very slow actually.:lol: We were doing 18's mostly. We were nervous I think and very close which means you can't really do super hot times.
 
I'm going through in the pairing between Tizzla and I. He's on holiday. Thought I'd let you guys know as it hasn't been put up on the race ladder.
 
Just curious as to who my next opponent will be in round 3, the branching seems to go nowhere in my section of the draw

Hi Holl01.

Yes this is a problem with an odd number of drivers; this is something for Jack to sort, looks like somebody has got to have a bye as we don’t have a full grid of pairs. He will let me know, if I have to I’ll produce a new spreadsheet for Jack on the outcome of what he decides.

GTP_Racer_LP vs GTP_JvM

Before the race we agreed that I would start on pole in race 1 and 3 and he would start first in the 2nd race. We also agreed to wait 20 seconds instead of 15 to have some more room between us and the other drivers

Race 1:
We were in a 5 car race with Jukka and me at the back of the grid. So we took our posistion, the 20 second mark came and we were off. I started from pole and led during the first lap.Jukka overtook me before turn 1 on the 2nd lap and kept the lead during the lap. Then when we came out of the esses we got disconnected, so we had to do a rerun.

Race 1, take 2:
3 car race this time with Jukka hosting, so we didn't have to worry about getting disconnected. Cause it was a rerun of the first race, I started on pole again. Coming out of spoon, I noticed Jukka was about 1 sec behind due to a mistake, but he had almost closed the gap coming out of 130R. When I looked behind just before the end of the first lap I noticed Jukka's car ghosting and going slowly (after the race he told me he had cut the chicane too much and got a penalty). The gap was now 4 seconds, all I had to do is keep it on the black stuff and drive it to the finish. I didn't make any big mistakes and Jukka went off again at turn 1 on the last lap, so I won the first race. 1-0

Race 2:
Jukka was host again and this time it was his turn to start on pole. There were 2 other drivers in this race and they waited for us just before spoon on the first lap. We both got passed them quite cleanly and we were faster, so we managed to drive away and battle it out on our own.
We swapped placed alot throughout the race and I started the final lap in the lead. Just before 130R Jukka overtook me and I didn't have any chance to overtake him anymore. 1-1

Race 3:
11 cars in this race, so alot of chance to have traffic and punters. I started on pole again and was in the lead into the first corner. We had to overtake the first car just before the hairpin, we both managed to pass him cleanly. Jukka overtook me on the straight and was in the lead on lap 2, but got held up by an M3 that went off at turn 1. He went off again at the end of the esses and were on our own again, Jukka still leading.
On lap 3 we had to overtake an Italian driver in a green lotus, but he didn't wanna give up his place. I got pushed off a little by him at degner 1, but Jukka waited (Thanks mate 👍) and we could continue our race. Later that lap we both managed to get in front of the Lotus and left him behind.
We swapped places a couple of times and starting lap 5 Jukka was leading. Coming out of spoon, he was still in the lead, me just a couple of meters behind and the 30 second count down started. I got a good slip stream and overtook him before 130R. I stayed right taking the inside line for the chicane to defend my position. That made me very slow through the chicane and I didn't have the best exit either. I had a little oversteer and Jukka came next to me on my left side, but I managed to stay in front till the end of the 30 second count down and won. 2-1

Thanks Jukka, for some great racing. We both had the same pace, maybe you were a little faster at times, but like you said in the chat, in the end the driver who made the least mistakes won. I hope you had fun too 👍
 
Congratulations Stijn, and unlucky to Jukka. Two awesome racers, one had to lose. Sounds like you guys had a very fair and clean battle. 👍
 
The Grim Reaper "Useless With His Wheel Lately" Vs Jack Stanley "Pad Freak"​

Well I would love to write how Jack bardged me off track and how he used me as a brake several times, but I can't. Totally clean races with no interference apart from the slow coach I got caught behind in lap 1.

First race, from my point of view is better forgotten. I start at P1 and was leading for a whole third of a lap. I lost it at the Dunlop curve when Jack was alongside. I was trying to give him room as I lost him in my mirrors and caught the grass on the inside, resulting in you know what. I tried to catch Jack but by the start of lap 3 I caught a back marker in the Esses and ended up following him all the way to 130R where I got caught in his draft and ended up with a wheel off and ended up sliding backwards past Casino. AAAARRRRGGGHHHHHH my patients had gone and I pulled up to throw my tantrum about how life was not fair. :( So 1-0 to Jack.

Second Race I wiped the floor with him.... NOT!!!!. Well at least this time I put up a fight. We were pretty even over the first couple of laps where the lead changed a couple of times through mistakes, but I for some reason kept putting my car into a drift in the Spoon curve, don't ask how as I can't drift to save my life but my god Tanner Foust would of been proud of me, 4 laps out of 5 I went through the spoon sideways, having never previously done it during 100 practice laps. Needless to say Jack won by a couple of seconds. 2-0 to Jack.

Game over then for me, and Good Luck to Jack and all left in the competition.

Seems i made a mistake, im back from holiday now!

I swear the deadline date was different when i checked, like the 24th or something.

Yeah, you're right. The deadline was saturday the 25th at first, but then Jack changed is cause there's an online event update on thursday. So you'll have to do your races today or tomorrow. Hope you'll make that and good luck to you both 👍

I have still not make any contact with gtp_awd208, but GTP_hyperspeed do work with him and told that he is passing this round.

Nothing much to write... :lol:

Race 1

Had an irritating Bimmer that stayed waiting at the start.... Kept irritating me past turn 1 while Chris was pulling away... couldnt come back... had nothing to offer in this fight... Round 1 to Chris 👍

Race 2

This time we had a clean start... entered turn 1 together.. Chris got ahead before turn 2... Then slowly I saw him disappear into the distance never to return to view... except for the sudden glimpse as he turned into a turn.... Round 2 to Chris, by a mile! :D

Chris kept it together on track and was WWWAAAYYY faster then me.... Good luck to him in the next round and the rest of the competition... Same for the rest of the drivers still in... It was fun while it lasted :) 👍

thanks, thank god this round is done for me now, cause i'm looking forward to the next car, the NSX was getting me bored cause i've been using it for a while now.
