RACE Pro recreates a breathtaking reality giving gamers the ultimate racing simulation experience, all powered by Lizard, SimBin's own physics engine. With precision physics and handling, racers will feel every bend and burst of acceleration along with every emotion from pre-race tension in the pit lanes to the exhilaration of capturing the checker flag. RACE Pro provides unrivalled realism and deep immersion into the racing world through ultra realistic car models and official FIA championships and tracks. Putting players in the driving seats of their simulated racing careers, racers will have the opportunity to work their way up the leader boards through intense training and winning key races. RACE Pro has something for everyone, allowing players of all levels to pick up and play, while offering challenging tracks and advanced modes for the more experienced players.

RACE Pro offers a wealth of cars ranging from 200 to over 1000 horse power, as well as a host of championships including WTCC (World Touring Car Championship), Formula 3000 and Formula BMW. GT cars from manufacturers including Aston Martin and Saleen take their place on the grid as well as production cars such as the Audi R8 and Dodge Viper SRT10. In addition, RACE Pro is exclusively bringing all the WTCC cars from manufacturers Alfa Romeo, BMW, Chevrolet and Seat to Xbox 360 for the very first time. For a blast of accessible fun, the Mini Cooper Challenge invites players of all abilities to take the wheel.

Gamers and racing fans alike will experience the thrill of racing these powerful cars on 13 real life tracks covering all continents, of which Macau, Porto and Pau are exclusive to RACE Pro, and US tracks Laguna Seca and Road America are brand new to SimBin fans.

Online play via Xbox LIVE online entertainment network for Xbox 360 and System Link support lets up to 12 players take on equally high-powered opponents and test their skills to the limit to reach the finish line ahead of the pack. For friends closer to home, the brand new 'Hot Seat' feature puts players in the driving seat for a limited amount of time before passing the controller to the next player and so on, demanding exceptionally quick reactions and precision racing from even the most seasoned drivers.

Nothing gets closer than RACE Pro, the ultra real racing simulation game exclusive to Xbox 360, scheduled for release this fall 2008.

I was thinking the same... this was, however announced in 2005... known as GTR, i bet microsoft bought it as a exclusive back then allready... before forza 2, thinking it might come soon.

Or maybe the devs dont feel like developing for the PS3.. some have a really, really hard time with the process of that on the PS3.

either way, it's still a loss.

Race has been officially announced as a Xbox360 exclusive product. More screenshots & information in first post.

How do they find such bad drivers always! unbelievable really.

Did not look like 'fun' but everyone keeps saying simbin is the racegame maker. :) Could be very good game.

yaaa nice game, but NO good with that BAD microsoft wheel,,wee need a MUTCH better wheel, G25 wil be so perfekt for that game, but no no no grrrrrrr

theyre gonna need extra buttons in some form of a peripheral for all the pit and car set commands. I hope to god only the proper sim racers not your typical pgr3 chavs buy this and we can recreate what has been done on PC.

MMORPG's on the 360 supports USB keyboards, so does the messaging system. You never know what might happen

Those engine sounds are great. I swore off the 360 for racing games because of the the ms wheel, but this game is gonna bring me back. Looks great and sounds amazing.

This game is looking truly great. Don't worry about the crappy M$ wheel, save your money and get the Logitech DriveFX instead. It's much cheaper and although it's still not a patch on the DFP or G25, you get your money's worth:

Granted the wheel suppport is no where near as good on 360 as it is on PS3 but at least RACE Pro looks like it will be a game worth playing and at last a propper racing Sim on a console. Ferrari Challenge and GT5P look ok and drive OK but neither of them are very good racers, and with SimBin's past history of making great sims for the PC there's no reason to suspect that RACE Pro will be anything other than superb.

Microsoft really needs to step it up and come out with a full 900 degree wheel.

I've been playing GTR2, Race '07, GTR Evolution, LFS, etc... for a while now, and I can honestly say a 200 degree wheel cannot possibly give you a simulation experience, unless you're in an F1 car (or any other RL vehicle with limited steering range). I have an XBox 360 and the MS FFB wheel. It really is a horrible wheel. Big deadspot, notchy, unresponsive, and it looks like it came from Playschool. I'll hold out judgment on the Fanatec wheel until I've tried it, but it's not a full 900 degrees either, so it still has a major flaw compared to what's available on the PC and PS3.

With the amount of money Microsoft has, and with their monopoly on the PC market, they easily have enough time and money to develop a simulation style wheel. With the success of the GT series on Playstation, you'd think they would take a hint and do what Sony and Logitech did years ago with the DFP. So what's the hold up, Microsoft?

I am very excited about this game coming to consoles, but it's a hollow joy. Without a simulation wheel, there can be no true simulation on the Xbox 360. End of story.

;)

You'd think Forza (Or FM3) was enough to motivate them to make a serious wheel, that is if they did want to compete with Sony, GT, and Logitech. Guess not...

Nice setup there 👍 where did you get the A1 seat? Looks ace!

Although...... Is it wise to put a huge fish tank right next to all your tech :sly:... I can see major glass failure being disasterous! :ill:

As for MS and its commitment to simulation I think although Forza may be aiming for that market the larger "parent company" as it were is aiming for the casual gamer market, so I doubt we will see any accurate wheel coming any time soon.

Fanatec is making a 900 degree wheel. Full force feedback, clutch, h pattern shifter. It sounds like the 360 version of the porsche wheel. They say their giving a beta wheel to sim bin for testing with race pro.

And... um... cost? xD

I'm not sure. If the 360 wireless wheel was 130$ when it was released, then this wheel will be much more. I think the pc/ps3 wheel was 300-350$. But if your wanting a good wheel your going to have to pay for it. If you think the 360 wheel is worth 50$, then 300$ for the fanatec 360 wheel is a bargain. If it's just like the ps3 wheel it will be a great wheel for the price.
