Buy a fresh Lotus Motorsport Elise, give it an oil change, Stage 3 Weight reduction and T5 tyres only. Enter the Trial Mountain race, Elise Trophy, Professional League. (10 Laps)

Found this one to be quite interesting...again ran it a couple of times to gauge the cars competitiveness and saved the last run,
here it is......

One of the races in the official gt3 races put on by zero has boom racing the car. i believe he was in the mid 1:17's

I was asking because I know that both Jake.E and Bobkart at gt3times had a battle at Monaco not so long ago in a wide range of cars including the 787B .
They are both considered the experts at that track from gt3 times and it seems they could be going for entering a monaco 20 lap race for the board comp 787B! ( though don't quote me on that it's not a definate yet ;) ) so Boom! fancy the 20 lapper against Jake and Bob? :D

Here's their hot laps at Monaco .........

Jake .E 1'16.094
Bobkart 1'16.407

This is the only bit of info I'll pass on from their team, Ron has told them nothing, but struck a hard bargain for me to spill some beans :D

I'll vote now: If we have to run 20 laps at Monaco, it's all Boom. I'll happily dial up the video conference to his workplace, and cheer him on.

Let's see...20 laps at 1'20 = 27 minutes...at $2 a minute....$54 bucks well spent...

I just watched my replay of that race and it was a 3 lapper. It was in the race series that Zero did a while back.

Lap 1: 1'21.756
Lap 2: 1'18.157
Lap 3: 1'17.565

Total: 3'57.478

I do beleive that I could improve upon this time as well.
I see the 1'16's posted there and I know that I could get down into those time ranges with some invested time.

I'd certainly be down for a 20 lapper as well. Monoco for some odd reason really suits my fancy.

If we're going to stand a chance we need to get cracking on these practice races a lot more. I believe the team will finish better than last, but first seems a far off goal.

I think a full assualt on the courses is called for, reverse ones included. Waiting the day of the race, even if we get nearly a week will be too late. Racing lines and setups need to be refined.

I believe we are within the final month to bring the skills up and we have not done enough. Fortunately, we have standouts and notables, now we just need the less active to get started on some practice races.

That's for sure. I got a few PM's out there and a racer in the wings in case Mobil1 is a no show.

I've been doing a race here recently that I have come to enjoy.
This is how it goes:

Fully modded Honda Integra '98 (J)

The track: Seattle, Arcade mode medium (3 lapper)

This race has proved to be quite a challenge as I have not even been able to capture the #1 spot versus the AI. So the competition can be fierce.
Added to the mix is the frustration of understeer in a powerful FF drivetrain. Perfect driving is a must on this one as any mistakes with the FF car are not easily corrected.
I have found that this race is good for practicing throttle control, steering response, and proper apexing.
In addition to this, it's been quite the eye opening experience with trying to set up a FF car to perfection. I'm sure that there might be a race in this comp that will require at least one of us to run in a FF car.

This might be some good practice. What are all your thoughts on this?

I'm still working on set up and race line. I have 483 hp so far and my unconfirmed (legally) best time is 1:36.909 in Free Run mode. Is that any good?

It's a challenge, but a pain in the ass with the car that turning forgot.

I'll be having a go at this one for sure Rob...why don't you start a thread for it and get everyone to submit a few attempts at this one for a bit of last minute practise? ;)
