The dark colourshifts are two of my favourite paints in the game, as anyone that has seen the Benetton liveries will know,
but I think it works better with the masking as it tones it down and makes the decals really stand out.
Sean Bull commented on the colourshift masking when I put the Audi version up on twitter,
which is probably as high a compliment as it gets considering.

I think you're on to something there with the "subtle".
It's probably why my Carbon & Colourshift Masking liveries didn't win in the Audi Race Home.
Too subtle. All the winners were quite lairy and eyecatching.
