So, in your Kas at your handicap, what are you punching? Without nitrous at 82% on CHs I'm in the 1m58.lots, and at 100% with CMs tyres, River is in the mid 1m59s and improving.

I think this is going to be an hilarious race. :D

Well it is called laughing gas... :P

On 75% nitro I managed a 1m46.8s on CM (offline) @100% power. I'll need to adjust probably.
Not really sure what nitrous settings to use yet, it does run down quite quickly.

I've got my Nitro Ka ready for Tuesday, although it does seem to have gone a bit funny.

Hope you can get it rebuilt in time Paul.

I haven't done much running Mark, but I'm guessing that settings around the ones we've been using should be okay, with slipstream having only minimal effect around A/R I think. One thing I have noticed, is that the game tends to like to make it rain in Autumn. Rain, C/H, nitro, what could possibly go wrong?

Cheers, Zo.

I've got my mechanics on it as I speak type.

*Just checking. So we're using CH then?

Since tuning is enabled this week (nitro) I thought I'd mention that the Ka does sound much better with a sports exhaust fitted. Quite a rasp to it.

(The rain will help extinguish the fires caused by the nitro.)

CH are fine, even with nitrous. Haven't tried in the wet yet, but they've got tread, haven't they? CH are are especially fun on the '78 Firebird around AR...

Sorry Zo. Not going to make it tonight.

Yep, real pity you missed it Suts, it was ace. The lap times were close, and Nitro introduced a very interesting dynamic. Roll on next week, with the Honda, my favourite FF I think.

The little Yaris might be a good one to revisit the nitro with @Zolon32. It's got a bit more power to begin with.

I'm right up for that Paul. It'll be interesting to see where it can be used at Nimblebeat.

Cheers, Zo.

You could have driven with only your right foot... It's odd that I (we all?) left foot the brake all the time like juha Kankunnen :D

Was down at Hyde Park for Tom Petty, drank too much, and behaved like a teenager. Paying the price now, left foot is in agony.

Your teenage shenanigans robbed you of some fine racery Colin, 'twas jolly sooper last night. That Honda is a lovely motor, suits GV well, and the weak slipstream kept things nice and tight. In the quali session Lili was 0.5 seconds ahead of 2nd place, with fourth being less than 0.1 of a second further back.

Yaris with Nitro around Nimblebeat next week, yahoo!

Cheers, Zo.

Aye, just feels odd braking with right foot, despite doing so for over 20 years in a road car. 1 brief period with an Alfa with a sillyspeed box where i could use my left foot to brake, but other than that, right foot, and heel and toe for a couple of decades.

Worst case I could have used the controller, but i'm not as good as I used to be with that.

Upcoming events in the FWD handicap series.

Tuesday 11th July, Honda Integra Type R (DC5) 04 at Grand Valley Reverse.

Tuesday 18th July,
Toyota Yaris/Vitz RS Turbo at Nimble Beat (again, but it's so good!).

Tuesday 25th July (By now, this will either be the most popular theme in our history, or it will have died a death)
Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg ZR 97 at Suzuka.

Where dynamic weather is available, it shall be used. Where it is not, then, I guess it won't :)

Cheers, Zo.

Helloooo I'd like to join. Is it only the Yaris and Vitz from 2000 that's allowed? Also, because I live in a different time zone, will the race begin in a little over 16 1/2 hours from the time of this post?

NimbleBeat ... i might be able to join tonight. So what car is used exacly? What tires - CS or CM? Same tires all races even with rain/ wet race?

Hi chaps. Spot on Fan97, you've got the timing absolutely correct 👍

You have the choice of either the Vitz RS 1.5 '00 or the Yaris RS 1.5(J) '00. Both stock, with oil change allowed, and NITRO! Wooohoo.

The tyres will be C/S throughout Jammy, they grip fine in the wet. Although a FF car with Nitro on 100% surface water can get a bit understeery if the button isn't pressed with due diligence :)

Cheers, Zo.

Then Nitro means tuning allowed
Yeah Jammy, unfortunately tuning has to be enabled to allow Nitro (PD :irked:) but Zo would prefer it if you did not tune the car - if you see what I mean. Keep it otherwise stock.

We tried out the use of nitro recently and it worked really well adding a little strategy and a lot of fun.

Be good to see you again. 👍

Sorry I have just one more question. What time will the room open? And will the room be within the club page or just a general online lobby?

We should be on for 8pm, race start approx 8.30 Think it's a club room which is open to the public

Cor blimey, that was ace! Great turnout folks, thanks.

Hats off to Paul for the car suggestion (even though I got it wrong at first), and to Fan97 getting his first win with the group in only his second race. And what a clear win it was too, unlike Mark, who nicked it from Jammy just yards from the line. I love it when that happens, (Not to Jammy in particular you understand, just in general. And not to me either, for that matter. Anyway, I love it :))

Great, clean racing, on a whacky circuit; can't beat it. However, I'm off on my holls for a couple of weeks, so I'm gonna miss I'm afraid. Where are we going? Aruba, Seychelles, Florida perhaps? No, Norfolk, in a caravan. Wish me luck with the weather fellas, and I'll see you in August.

Cheers, Zo.
