if your car isn't racing modded yet, get it that way! my lancer could beat a db7(stock) real easily!(BTW my lancer is an evo VI GSR and has 483 hp. it is damn fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!! even on dirt!!!!!!!!!!!)

The DB7 is one of the heavier cars in the game, many other lighter cars can beat it easily...

I think the best thing on racing modded cars is the adjustable downforce, it's a must have in some cars (usually powerful RWD cars).

Some of the race-modded cars are horrendously ugly. Secondly, running a race-modded cars against non-modded ones makes for a boring victory.

I only race-mod a street car if it needs the downforce; but there's some cars (usually under 350hp) that don't need it at all. There's also about 150 cars that don't get a race-mod.

I like the fact that you can take some cars to the complete, ie get a race body for them which lightens them and gives the appearance of sponsership.

But I do agree, even in GT1 I wouldn't race a [R] car against non [R] cars.

Although the DB7 is a nice car, it is heavy and the AI are not known for their great driving skills. Maybe you should run a test lap and post your time, then maybe someone else can try with a DB7 and see if they can beat your time.

Ha ha, hey new guy! I was like you long ago. I remember the first time I took a race-modded car in the Apricot Hill enduro and got 3 or 4 laps ahead of everyone! Yeah, the thrill of speed is fun for awhile, but like the others say, your victory will be hollow if you keep at GT2. I'm gonna echo everyone else: race-modded cars against non-race modded cars is a no-no. In the real world, they'd surely separate the world of Gran Turismo into a complex system of classes to make sure weight and power, not to mention tires, suspension, brakes, etc. are all kept in different categories so no car has too much of an advantage. You'll see what we mean...
