Racing's Greatest Weekend Challenge (Results Posted)

This weekend is so great speed created a logo for it

Three of the year's biggest races will all take place over a period of 16 hours this Sunday.

• 8 AM est - Monaco Grand Prix
• 12 PM est - Indianapolis 500
• 6 PM est - Coca-Cola 600

UK time zone

• 1 PM - Monaco Grand Prix
• 5 PM - Indianapolis 500
• 11 PM - Coca-Cola 600

So what is this weekend only challenge? Similar to Justin's fantasy league game, you will have to pick 3 drivers for each of the 3 major races.

To keep the points simple and fair the following will be used. Because F1 only has a 24 car grid we will only score points for the top 24 at Indy and in NASCAR.

If your driver finishes 1st thats 24 points. 2nd = 23 points, 3rd = 22 points, all the way down to 24th which equals 1 point. Whoever accumulates the most points with their picks over the 3 races wins.

The deadline is before the Monaco GP starts, you may change your final entry as much as you want before then.

The 600 was part of the big four races. Daytona was the richest, Talladega the fastest, Darlington the oldest, and the 600 is the longest. (Correct me if wrong.)

Would just like to ask, for all us non NASCAR fans, where is the Coca-Cola 600 being held and what is its significance? I thought Daytona or Talladega was the most famous NASCAR race.

It's in Charlotte, North Carolina. Most teams facilities are within 25 miles from the track. It's the ultimate home race. So, with that and between the long history (50+ years), and the longest race, that's its significance.

So many drivers tried to win both the Indy 500 and the World 600(the alternate name), that it's a shame no one ever did it, and it's nearly impossible for anyone to try anymore.
