I think we got it quite right Wayne.

Thrust me - I really dont want to fake the results or anything my friend and btw thanks for some great batles. Lets do it again soon.

:sly:Trust me I never had in mind you could have falsified the result ;)
This was a very fun event and I'm not complaining at all. Thanks all of you for giving us the opportunity to race together in this funny kind of event

Next time I will fully read the rules as I nearly stopped after 4 races thinking the event was over :guilty:

Next time might be fun to all have same car & only play on the colours for example ;)

I didn't realise that it was more than one race per group. Not that i would've been competitive, I think my quickest time was a 2:21.

I'm such a newbie to this GT racing malarky!

I still don't get it... How do you make sure you get the same race online? How do you lot communicate about racing on the night?

If someone could give me some pointers (PM or something), or link to a thread that explains all this, I would be most grateful !

Hi mate!

There is a thread here which links to the online chat function provided by GTplanet:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=111320

Also some of us communicate using Skype and sometimes even PM using the XMB menu of your PS3

As for racing together, first of all use the XMB menu on your PS3 to synchronise your PS3 clock using the internet, that way, when we say something like "BOND RACE xx15/30/45/00" that means if you go to the correct online event and hit start at 15 minutes past the hour (or 30, 45 etc), we will be doing the same thing at the same time, and we will hopefully be matched with you in an online race, where we will proceed to have a rather good time avoiding punters, blockers, and racing under the name of famous Bond women ;)

All the best, hope that helped

DB9 Drivers - Ardius had a slow start, but it was very clear, at least for me, that every race he entered he was driving faster and faster, and results showed it.

:sly: Thanks, I think I can agree with that assesement. If I hadn't had uni this morning, I would have stayed longer and maybe achieved that win I was looking for, but I got plenty of fun from this event and had some very close racing with several people.
Thanks to the organisers, really enjoyed this event and it was a nice way to get back into GT5:P. 👍

HONEY RYDER GROUP:

21:06
1. JackStanley M3
2. Synwraith DB9
3. Hyperuk M3

21:21 - not vaild

21:36
1. HyperUK M3
2. Theewar DB9
3. Synwraith DB9

21:51
1. HyperUK M3
2. JackStanley M3
3. Synwraith DB9

22:06 - not valid ?

22:21 - not vaild, 3 participants

Total points:
BMW M3 - 10
Aston DB9 - 8

These are using Jon's rules (at least 4 cars in the race and one T&L host), if I count the races where there were only 3 cars, the M3 wins by a bigger margin. For example the 22:21 race finished: Hyperuk M3, JackStanley M3, Synwraith DB9...

The M3 seemed stronger for sure, but in the Honey group, the M3 drivers just happened to be exceptionally talented drivers anyway. What ifound was that I was able to keep pace as long as in slipstream, I could hassle and line up overtakes etc, but out of slipstream the M3s disappeared. There was a great deal of field-spread in this group. This, as mentioned before, could have been a result of the low number of participants and the skill of the M3 drivers. Having said that, Warren was pretty damn good in the DB9, but he wasn't always matched with us.

All the best
Maz

i want to thank all who made the event happen! organisers, tuners and the racers. without you it would have been impossible to achieve such a great event!

race results in group 3 : Xenia Onatopp

(some of the race numbers are not correct as i forgot to write which race was a dc or non valid, but perhaps this helps too reconstruct what happened.

Race 1: 1.M3 2.M3 3.DB9 wanna_be, graffen, hun
Race 2: 1.M3 2.DB9 3.M3 prudentbear, stealthwinnr, graffen
Race 3: 1.M3 2.M3 3.DB9 prudentbear, graffen, stealthwinnr
Race 4: 1.M3 2.M3 3.DB9 prudentbear, wanna_be, stealthwinnr
Race 5: 1.M3 2.M3 3.DB9 prudent/jvm?, prudent/jvm?, stealthwinnr
Race 6: 1.M3 2.M3 3.M3 prudentbear, jvm, graffen
Race 7: 1.M3 2.M3 3.DB9 wanna_be, jvm, ardius
Race 8: 1.M3 2.DB9 3.DB9 jvm, stealthwinnr, hun
Race 9: 1.M3 2.DB9 3.DB9 jvm, stealthwinnr, hun

those are the results i have. i dont have results after the groups were merged.
as i know the race results are correct, but the race nr. is not after the first races, feel free to correct the race number if you know it and feel it matters.

thanks again to all for a very fun evening. see you on track soon:tup:

Maybe you can help with the race nr. Mario? need to go to bed now. late again as always....

As cool as the DB9 is, I don't get it how I saw so many red ones at the event :yuck:

"British Racing Green" (like Ardius, if I recall correctly) or "James Bond Silver" (as mine and MJH's ), I understand, but ... red ???? :yuck: :yuck: :yuck: :yuck:

Oh, btw, I didn't notice M3 colours ... in fact, I barely noticed they were racing

:D

errr black, my first race i was going to pull over, wait till you passed and then pull out on your ass and play the bad guy:sly: but your sat nav must have failed as you obviously took a wrong turn somewhere:)

Yeah, if I remember correctly, we had 3 races going on at the same time.

GTR's far ahead

M3s following

Cool cars at the back

It wasn't the nav sat, it was a call on the hotline, from Onattop herself. :D

yea, she was bouncing up and down on my lap, when she suggested a 3 way, then proceeded to pull out her phone to bell you, i told her, by the time he gets here, the moment/day will have long passed

This is funny.

You know in 4 - 5 days this event has produced 320 posts and soon 4.400 views. If you all agree I think we'll do something like this again.
