Thanks for your comment beerzgood 👍
But do you really think the Blitz shots are standard? I gave the first one a greenish floor wich isnt often done, and a nice angle imo.. the second one a soft effect in a tunnel drift.. is that standard?

Ok sorry, maybe poor choice of words. :dunce:

And... I hadn't noticed that, or better, I assumed that was GT4 colour on the floor, just showing a bit more than usual. If that's the case, it's well done. Did you use hue for that or a color replacement?

On the 2nd Blitz, I assumed (yeah I know, I assume a lot  ) it was all GT4 blur, since it's so natural-looking.

But I like both, like I said on the other post. When I don't like I don't comment or say what I really think. Constructively, that is.

And thanks for appreciating my comments, bro. 👍

I gotta say this is a great update (as usual), i was looking at your previous pics and i gotta say that saleen pic is just amazing, it would not look out of place in an advertisment.

Okay guys, i need a bit of help. I've made a lot of shots for the CCCL comp, and i wanted to choose the best, but i can't. All i can bring it down to is these 3.
I hope you can tell me wich is the best to enter. They are according to the rules now, so you have to choose as them as they are!

I can't really make up my mind, so help is appreciated 👍

Nice shots of the Blitz, Buick and Merc. 👍

Well about the 3400s shots:

1. Really nice angle. Also the lighting is good. The glowing break rotor is a plus in this one imo.

2. Nice colours but somehow the car is too blurred for my taste.

3. Looks really good with the very bright pavement and the very colourful front. Also there is nice motion in it. 👍

If I where you I would pick the third one because that is motegi for me. Great colours and high contrasts. Good luck man!

I prefer the 1st one.

On the thumbnails, 2nd one looks like the winner, but enlarged it loses a lot, car's too blurred.

1st one would be even better if you could get the nose to be totally in focus, but still very nice, with the disc glow making that area of the image alive, and composing it better.

3rd I like it too, but less happening there, more of a mood pic.

And consider yourself lucky you only had 3 to choose from.
Last night I had it narrowed down to 8 from which to choose and could make up my mind.

Good luck!

Okay, but i'm still having doubts, lol. More comments will clear up my mind.
My mind is now moving more towards 3, then to 1 and 2 will probably not get picked.

Well, I had my own version of number one, but chucked it. Honestly, I think that one is the best one. It might just be me, but it bothers me a bit when part of the car is blurred and the rest not. That is the main problem I have with the rest. The final decision is up to you, and I'm sure it'll be a good one.

i dont understand how the one part of the car is in focus, and the other is not. it's a big no no if you wanna win something in a comp. sorry to be direct, but i'm just saying it for your own good. for the boxster pics, i would say go with the third one. since it's probably the cleanest out of all the 3. the back is still distorted like the middleshot, but then again it's dark where the rear end is, so chances are you just Might get away with it, unless you wanna re-edit it and make that part where the rear end of the car is a bit darker, or just add a little more motion blur to the background to atleast make that rear end of the car sharper than what it really is.second, re-do the hood and the sides of the car, apply some really low smudge tool settings and go from there. other than that, that's all i can say. i think you'll have a much better shot with the third one. last thing, go with what you like, so you only have yourself to blame if you loose :D hahahahaha . but i hope my advice to you will help clear up your mind somehow. goodluck ray!

I like the third one the most. It's exactly what motegi is about. I already see you entering with the 3rd shot, so my opinion is not so important afterall

Thanks for your comments guys. And franz, it actually is! Then i know i entered the right one :)

i like that photo. great work ray! i know you could do better, but i like the photo so far. it somewhat gives me that 'ultrashot' feel :D keep it up mate!

Well jgda, it being my first actual cleanup and blur attempt, it wasn't going to be as good as ultrashot's pics :)
Btw there is no so far, this is the result

Not bad at all for a first try ray.

The blur is well done. Now you just have to make sure, that the car fits into the whole environment. In your pic it looks a bit pasted on. You might want to check out 440s tutorial for this. But with a little bit of practice you shots will improve with the time. This one's really nice. 👍

PS: You did right chosing that 3rd picture of the ruf for the cccl comp. I have entered as well for the first time because I've got some time...

Nice vanishing blur. It works for me, and the evolution of darkness creates a special effect, it's quite shocking. Lighting up the edge of the car -where it's "merged" with the background- could create an interesting bump between both to define the Mazda correctly.

I can't say the same with the rims. You need to be more precise but I know usually some attempts are needed. Don't worry to redo some times the action, it's normal. If finally you're still geting a little offset in the rim edge, just try to delete that part to make visible the original edge behind wich will be perfectly rounded.

Another quick tip is adding a little monochrome noise to the road before blurring it. That will create the scratch feeling. Good photo anyways :D

Not bad at all, Ray. 👍

Some minor flaws, but only when compared to some of the guys that have been doing this type of shots for a long time.

You should see my first attempts at this, I was really pissed that they looked, well... stupid.

Yours is looking very nice, the car doesn't look pasted, which is a very good start. Can we expect some more of these from you from now on? :)

Probably yes Beerz, but not as much as PMC shots. I am quite in a busy time so don't have too much time to practice in photoshop.

Nice! the headlight looks really great ... good background blur job
the wheel however is not properly blurred
well keep it up :)

I know it isn't franz, for some reason spin blur doesn't look too good. Any tips? I'm using Paint shop pro 9 :)

those are looking good ray!! I cant believe my eyes. unless you paid ultrashot to do your updates for you  just kidding buddy!! :D great work!!
