If I were to set up a BTCC / WTCC type series that runs on Saturdays around mid-day USA time, how many would be interested? I have yet to actually test any cars, but I have a good idea about which ones we'll use as long as testing works out.

I didn't want to spend a whole lot of time setting this up and not have anyone interested, so if there's enough interest we'll start rolling on it.

:)
This is Great but how late would you run it?
I have interest but it depends on the time.

Sounds interesting but i'm already in TOCA which is pretty much a BTCC and runs at that exact same time. Good luck anyway.

Probably 20:00 or 21:00 GMT.

This isn't exactly a BTCC series, but a touring car series that's similar. I just used their name to bring people in. :sly:

I'm always interested when your running it turbo and saturday would be a good day for me.

When will this happen? I've got my own series to take care of until February 4, that happens at approximately the same time.

I'm going to go through all the cars this week and test them. It may not even resemble any specific touring car series from real life. I might just make up my own series from scratch the more I think about it.

I'm interested to see what you come up with, sounds pretty good. IMO, there are lots of "low powered" race cars that could all be put into one class to make a competitive series.

To be honest, they're just going to be street cars with full drivetrain mods and a few power mods, all with sport soft or racing hard tires. Some cars I will test off the top of my head:

- Dodge SRT-4 '03
- Toyota Corolla RunX Z Aerotourer '02
- Seat Ibiza Cupra '04
- Opel Vectra 3.2 V6 '03
- Nissan Primera 2.0Te '90 (or Primera 20V (EU) '01)
- Mazda Protegé '02
- etc, etc.

We could do FF/FR classes, or 4-door/2-door classes, or some other combination. All depends on testing.

Toyota Corolla RunX Z Aerotourer '02 / funny thing is my dad got this car in Real life :) will have a go with this car :)

The Honda Accord Euro R 2002 I believe would be a great addition to this series, it could be the Real Time Acura team. 👍

I made quite a significant list of cars last night that we could use. This could go several ways though, so got some testing and some thinking to do.

This series would be completely standard-car based.

:ouch: Now youve officialy nicked my idea :P, I say nicked im still working on my series in secret :sly:.

I was/am planning to make a "Standard Touring Car Championship" with tonnes of disused and neglected BTCC/WTCC cars, thanks to the wheels so now they can look like proper touring cars, though mine are more powered up and going to be on race hards.

(Id be more than happy if you made it instead as no doubt itd be run better )

Has anyone ever had their speakers start whistling while you are in your lobby, then when you try to exit the lobby your game freezes?

Anyway, I started testing a handful of cars tonight then decided to go another direction with the whole thing. So technically I only really tested 2 cars enough to get them even. Now any cars from here on out I'll just have to match with the first two.

Cars tested HERE.

These two are in:

269hp / 1236kg / 445PP / Lap Time = 1:42.783 Status: OK
alfa166.png

242hp / 1268kg / 441PP / Lap Time = 1:42.714 Status: OK

Tomorrow I'll get started on this:

Nope, sorry. Gotta hate those kind of things, did you check your speaker wires or connectors or whatever you want to call them?

It was the TV speakers, so no idea. It even started doing it when I would shift into 4th gear while testing. So it was definitely the game, not sure what exactly. Hopefully my PS3 isn't giving out. :nervous:

Will you be participating in the races? As I saw your not racing in FMSC correct? So if you may not be racing, are you just organizing, or are we going to see a pace car in front?
