League Race Tonight 4/8

We are racing race # 12 tonight. Red Bull Jr's at Sierra. Will be two 3 lap races instead of the usual timed race. Weather Changeability will be set to 60 so have rain tires available. I have run 4 test runs and it did not rain but be prepared. Please show up ready to race and stay in the lobby.

Formula Gran Turismo Series 2015


Lobby open at 8:30pm Eastern time and race starts at 9:30pm Eastern time sharp.

You do not have to race in all the races to participate in the league races.

Schedule: 1 race per month, date to be determined.

Race Distance:
The distance of the Formula GT races will be at least 1 lap exceeding 305 kilometres or 190 miles.

Jan 22, 2015 - France - Circuit de la Sarthe - 23 Laps
Feb 19th - United States - Daytona Road Course - 54 Laps
Mar 19th - Australia - Mount Panorama - 50 Laps
Apr 22nd - Germany - Nurburgring GP/F - 60 Laps
May - Monaco - Cote d Azure - 78 Laps
Jun - Austria - Red Bull Ring - 71 Laps
Jul - Great Britain - Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit - 52 Laps
Aug - Belgium - Spa-Francorchamps - 44 Laps
Sep - Italy - Monza - 53 Laps
Oct - Japan - Suzuka - 53 Laps
Nov - Spain - Circuit de la Sierra - 11 Laps

First Come / First Served basis

Car = Formula Gran Turismo

Tires = Any tires (have rain tires as well)
One mandatory tire compound change will be required. Failure to do so will result in at least a 100 second penalty.

Other Specs:
  • Tuning Allowed
  • 900 HP Limit
  • Tire Wear = Normal
  • Boost = Weak ( Do not count on this to help you much. You can still finish a lap down.)
  • Penalties = Light
  • Damage = Heavy (you will have to pit to fix damage)
  • All driving aids available (Use what you need to be competitive)
  • No Nitro
  • Weather will be set to speed 60 on tracks with weather.

Point System:
  • No points for pole
  • No points for podium
  • 16 points for 1st, 15 for 2nd, 14 for 3rd and so on down to 1 point for 16th.
  • 10 best races will be scored. 2 worst / missed races for each player will be thrown out.


Disconnects:
  • Restarts - In the event a driver gets a disconnect during the first lap (except SSR 7 and Sierra) we will restart the race. Once the driver in 1st place starts lap #2 we will continue the race until the end. We will make only 2 attempts to restart. On the 3rd attempt we will run the race regardless of connection issues.
  • Scoring - If during the race you have a disconnect you will be scored in last place. If Another player also has a disconnect they will be scored 2nd to the last since they raced longer and so on until the race is complete.

Regulations:
  • Shifter Karts Only

I am a free agent at the moment and am looking for a formula gran turismo series to join and i came across yours in my search. I was wondering if it were possible to meet up with or talk to the league owner to talk about particulars about the league if you are open to accepting new members. Thanks.

That would be me. Feel free to ask away. Yes we are always looking for members to race with.

This is a clean racing club.

We are fairly easy going but do not tolerate reckless drivers.

  • Race Clean
  • Pass Clean - It is up to you as the car overtaking to execute the pass clean and without causing an incident. If you can not make the pass clean then you need to wait until you can.
We all understand that sometimes things happen and there is contact with other people that can ruin a race. Lag, internet connections, different internet providers, different DNS servers, distances between players, controllers versus wheels, GT6 servers, PSN problems, different race views, and the plain simple fact that you mess up and cause a problem. All of these things will and do happen.

However after running this club for 3 years now, I have only had to removed a few people from the club. Most of the members I have raced with several times a week for 3 years. All are good drivers and we seldom have any problems if at all.

If you are still interested in joining the club # 1001937, feel free to do so and go race a few with us.

Usually is. Join the club # 1001937 if you have not done so already and read the club Forum section in GT6. In the Club Events section there is a time trial set up if you want to run that. There should be some people practicing on and off throughout the day, myself included. If not you are more than welcome to open a Club Lobby and practice there. If you create a Public Lobby through the club all I ask is you run a clean respectable room. If you encounter any idiots I ask that you to report the PSN name to me so I can block them from joining the club. I recommend a Club Only Lobby.

I will open the Official Lobby at 9:00 pm eastern tonight for 1 hr practice and the races start at 10:00 pm eastern. We run two 25 min races. The second race will be reverse grid. I record the the score from both and total the points.

Horse Power is limited to 50 HP. Overhaul your engine and it will get you 51 HP, then back it down to 50 HP

i have had a go at the time trial and could manage an 1.08,156 , and iff i kept on i probaly would get 1.07 something , hope thats good enough ;)

Well I have not tried it since last Wed after the races. We usually load the next weeks track and practice a bit. Sometimes we do something else. Tonight we will probably load Cote d'Azur for tomorrows Formula GT League race. 73 Laps. Should be fun.

i saw that , and its no problem for me as i am on sickleave , now i just have too find out what time the race is for me here in europe

edit . can you help me with the time , as i "allways" get it wrong , seems too be at 3 am for me ......

If it helps BST (current UK time) is 5 hours later than the club's running times. I'd imagine your 3am estimate is correct.

There used to be a countdown timer that was available to use on gtplanet same time back. Not sure why it stopped working and I miss that thing.

6:21 pm Central Time in the USA right now where I am in San Antonio, Texas.

All race times are posted in Eastern Time which is 7:21 pm right now.

Lobby opens in 1 1/2 hrs from now.
