Top to bottom.

(Top) Glock 41 .45 Cal full size long slide, just picked this up today on a trade. Swapped my Sig P320 for it.

(Middle) Glock 43 9mm subcompact slimline , nice little carry gun.

(Bottom) Glock 17 clone 9mm full-size, I built this from an 80% lower a custom slide and barrel , slide has Glock internals as does the lower. Red Dot Sight only does not have any other sights.

I would consider one of these but my biggest concern with any CCW is where I put it. I'd like to be able to put whatever my CCW in my bag without anything snagging the trigger or safety.

And before you ask, I still haven't done my license courses yet.

I generally carry Inside The Wasteband Appendix with Keydex molded holster.

How ever you choose to carry ALWAYS use some sort of holster or trigger guard cover.

My AR15 chambered in 5.56x45 (or .223), built from 80% lower receiver. Has a truglo 1x-6x scope with red or green illuminated reticle , at 1x can be used like a Red Dot Sight both eyes open.

This here AR15 my wife made from a 80% lower receiver, same scope as mine.

Here is one of my current favorites. This is a DPMS Hunter in .308 I sent the barrel out to get the muzzle threaded so I could add a muzzle break. After installing the muzzle.break the recoil is almost as light as the AR15 , follow up shots are quick and accurate now.

The scope is a Vortex Viper 6-25x50, can really reach out and touch something with this. This rifle shoots about 0.75 MOA with match grade ammo, it's probably capable of 0.5-0.6 MOA with hand loads. Pretty darn good for a semi-auto

I'm thinking about getting one of these:

Last week, I was shopping for those benchrest shooting bag/rests? I figured I could set them up on top of the folding table to do benchrest shooting, but these sticks, bipod, or tripod might be more secure(vs. cheap folding table) + convenient?

We'll see. I'm still researching.

Never thought about getting one of those on a rifle. Pros & cons(con being having the work on the barrel) doesn't really weigh out for me, but that is very cool. 👍

I use this for portable shooting bench.

That is nice. 👍 I was looking at portable bench/table set up couple weeks ago, but due to my car being a crossover SUV(limited cargo space) & the prices of these things($100+), I decided against it. Yours is really nice for $109 though. Looks like fun to shoot on/from, too!

Absolutely a blast! Want to be lazy, bring a fold up camping chair, the table goes low also!

Personally, I use an IWB (inside the waistband) holster from StealthGearUSA and I love it. Once you find a position that is comfortable on your body, you almost can't feel that you're carrying at all.

Like said above though, if you just plan on sticking it in your bag you still need to make sure it is in a holster that covers the trigger guard.

Back at it again. I ordered that tripod Monday, tried it out today. Works really well, but it still won't do all the work for you. I'd have focused more on the shooting itself, but I had the rare opportunity of suffering food poisoning in the middle of nowhere. I wish I had remembered to take toilet paper. :(

My buddy outshot me today. Crappy photographer though, here's me:

Shooting in snow where I'm at. Looks nice where you are.

I'll have to get a tri-pod like yours, would.be great for hunting. Shoot me link if you could please.

Bought a gun from the shop, a new rifle, had to return it on the same day when I found out that it would not feed any round correctly. When the bolt stripped the cartridge from the magazine the round suddenly rose and smashed into the top of the chamber, jamming the entire gun. Did that every single time. Got a new magazine from the shop, a different manufacturer, same problem. Talked to the dealer, he said that is the first time he ever had a problem with this kind of rifle, apparently he will send it back and I will have to wait MONTHS to get it fixed or get a new one.
I think its not possible to fix it, I guess they removed too much material on the feeding ramp making it to steep guiding the cartridges into the top of the chamber where they get stuck.

Had to sell three rifles in order to have enough cash to afford it - 2000 bucks- . Now my gun safe is pretty empty without any replacement, its like I lost that money. I'm totally bummed, why is it that I always encounter weird and unusual problems when I want to buy a new rifle? I have several friends who have the same rifle which are having tons of fun with it. :indiff:

Sorry for the rant.

Well what gun is it?

What a bummer. This turnaround sounds really unreasonable, but maybe that's what happens with international shipping/customs? I don't know.

I have to be honest. I had to google this gun & I'm not gonna lie, I started giggling almost immediately after finding out how it's a pump action. What a unique rifle.👍 *ahem* Still, very sorry to hear what happened.

I know its funny from an American perspective, but around here where people are not very serious about freedom Semi-Automatic rifles are heavily restricted and buying one involves a lot of paperwork, months of waiting and lots of extra cash, besides the threat of an EU-wide total ban of semis that gets more serious every day.

A pump-action AR makes a lot of sense for those people, especially since the rifle has an extremely smooth system and is nearly as fast to shoot as a semi (if it chambers a round at all). Legally, it is equal to grandpas 4-shot Mauser bolt action from the 30's.

Also its potentially more reliable than semi automatic rifles, I manually operate the action with my weightlifter-paws, if something goes wrong I am sure I can violently yank the action and work it with much more power than the gas of a semi rifle. I could probably even work the action if a squirrel was hiding in it.

Working on an improved 12 gauge slug load, full-caliber 12 gauge round balls. These are 580 grain hardened lead balls loaded to 12 gauge magnum specs. They're considerably heavier than the standard slugs and they're going about 1700-1750 fp/s for a whooping 4000 ft/lbs or 5400 joules of muzzle energy. For comparison the .357 magnum has 590 ft / lbs or 800 joules, so this is nearly 7 times the energy. :sly:

Applications? Errrmmm....uhhh,....when the flesh-tearing bloodsucking demon monstrosities from hell come crawling up to the surface I have got something to keep them off my lawn I guess.

Here they are, the powder load is near the pressure limits of the 12 gauge.

Pumpkin balls. Great fun out to about 50 yards. They put a real good hurt on things. Lol

Yeah, hurt on both ends. With 1700 fps its got recoil like a dangerous game rifle. :dopey:

I just hope the roll crimp is suitable for this projectile, I am not 100% sure if the ball will unroll the crimp or simply ride over it, possibly causing an increase in pressure. Probably a non-issue either way but still something to mindful about.-

People argue online about if there's such thing as stopping power on 9mm vs. .45ACP, but I'm guessing I'll definitely feel the stopping power if I get hit by one of these things. :nervous::lol:👍

Stopping power.. LMAO love that.

In real life, (unless its a spinal cord , brain ,heart hit) pistol rounds DO NOT stop people in one shot. Those whom stop CHOOSE to stop. It almost always take several rounds to stop a person, especially those whom are hopped up on drugs or just on a serious fight if rage.

Ballistically speaking though 9mm is the superior. Higher velocity wins every time.

Alot of .45acp defense rounds(hollow points) don't even expand on ballistic gel test going through clothing first. They just travel to slow.

While most 9mm do expand in the same tests.

Here is a little informative graph about ''stopping''-power.

Unsurprisingly rifles and shotguns score highest with a 80-90% chance to incapacitate with the first torso hit, pretty much all popular handgun rounds score around 50-60%. Also interesting to note is that the fatality rate with rifles and shotguns is more than twice as high as with pistol rounds.

Speaking of which:

While there's no explanation of what rounds they used and their ballistic qualities (simply to keep audience attention), one could assume both pistols were using standard rounds with relatively similar velocities comparative to the rest of the ammunition market.

It looks like .45ACP still shows slight edge over 9mm on the chart? Of course, 9mm has obvious advantages in things like capacity, less recoil, etc. As Michael said, rifles & shotgun's where we sort of expected them to be.

Lol and .32 beat out both 9mm and .45

As I said before , pistol rounds are just that... pistol

They will never match rifle.

Well except for AR and AK pistols that is.

.32 did catch my eye right off the bat, but it's interesting numbers to me, because while the fatality rating is really low, incapacitation is very high. Is it because of the ballistics, or is it because it's often used at short range self-defense? Perhaps combination of both. Anyway, very interesting.

When I first got into guns, stuff like 9mm rifle sounded ideal to me. MP5 & M4, somewhat similar. I was way off.

Oh I loved my 9mm AR. It was my go-to home defense gun. Kept one in the chamber and full mag with the red dot always on. Zeroed it at 25yards, would hit 8 inch steel out to 100yards. The 14.7 inch barrel(pinned welded muzzle break) brought the velocity up a few hundred fps.

Traded it off, it ate up way too much ammo. It was nick named the giggle gun. It's was just way to much fun.

My current 80% build is going to be a .22lr AR, for a new giggle gun.

The reason I chose 9mm AR for home defense rifle is because it would have less chance of over penetration and going through walls and hitting others inside or outside my home.
