The Pagani Zonda GR, a Carsport Modena (a joint venture of the Belgians Paul Kumpen and Toine Hezemans, and Tom Weickardt) project, is propelled by a Mercedes-Benz V12 engine (more than 600hp and about 1100kg). The car is built on a carbon-fibre chassis and has a tubular frame on the front and back.
The car is to be used in the 24 hours of Le Mans and the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, and will be used in two weeks at the 12 hours in Sebring.
A second chassis is to be used by Carsport America at the ALMS-championship.
2003 will be a year of testing and waiting for the homologation for the FIA GT in 2004.
