Can someone tell me how to remove the blue lines in qualy?

Last week Arty said to press the up button but that doesn't work.

I know in online TT its the up, directional. But in online race Q mode I dunno. It hasn't been too distracting for me apart from once or twice.
Certainly easier than having a physical car there! I suppose though if you end up "with" somebody on your hot laps it is harder.

I haven't even tried Monza yet. Gonna have to check it out today for sure if I want a chance at a decent finish. If immortal gets passed on any of the straights and held up a bit it could be a tighter race than normal. With 50 laps I think it'll be a bit like last race at Indy. Certainly more pleasant tracks than the 4 stop Ascari survival and the Twin ring tangle.

Well if it was cars and not blue lines. You would get to see the cars on track and using the map make space but with the blue lines. No one shows up on the map so you just arrive on them or they on you.

Yeah, will have to do a bit this evening at Monza as well.

I also prefer to have cars on the track and not the blue lines, part of the skill of qualifying is finding space, etc and I find it more fun too...

You know how you can customize the controls on your wheel or controller. One of the options is "show/hide ghost". You can change any button you want to turn the ghost off which will apply to the ghost cars or blue lines. I set it on the square button on my controller which lies by my wheel.

@GT_Vette Let's make the practice race mandatory, so we can finally start on time and sort out visibility issues.
Yes, but not sure how many got the memo, so this week it will simply be highly encouraged to participate. Next week will be mandatory though. I'll make another announcement about that in the room today to be sure everyone knows.

On top of that, I'll also be opening the room 15 minutes earlier for practice and the practice race 10 minutes earlier.

Race 7 monza results:

Man about 1/3rd distance I was thinking monster energy was going to get first podium of the season but Iceman and Chris managed to make strong comebacks with ultra fast laps. I was getting knackered towards the end running 1:21s for over an hour nonstop with only 2 pitstops to rest.... Was fun doing a fast track though. Most of our tracks are so technical. You could just hop into this one and be competitive with the best without hours of practice. :sly:

I was so relieved when I finished that race. Now I know I'm not very fast in this car to begin with but I must say that I absolutely hate monza in any car. It took me to about lap 40 before I was actually doing consistent laps at any speed. I think I cut ascari maybe a dozen times on accident because I just could not find my entry points. And locked up the fronts about every lap too

Maybe next season you can prove your speed with full power and RH tires ;)

It doesnt take alot to be uncomfortable with a car. I know when the car suits you, you're really fast, that's why you won the lotus championship last year :P

Well thanks Evo :) I know when I first went out for practice on sunday I thought to myself, "wow I have no confidence in this car". It would help if I practice more though :sly:

On racing tires you better watch out. I got my best ever TT result in this car after all, though with RH tires and fully tuned but still a third place I was pretty proud of that.

Evo I think you might be one of the best out there just because your such a well rounded driver. I've never seen you in any car and not be fast

Its not looking good for me.... im out of town in st. Paul for a wedding. Likely will not make suzuka one of my fav tracks on calendar.... sad. Not much I can do except beg for an early release...

I'll be racing tonight, but with my map off - what does that mean? It means if you're crash in front of me, or I crash, I'll take precautions not to get in any one's way, but I won't be able to see 'around corners' - and if lead drivers come to lap me I'll only give way once I can see you clearly in my mirrors.

Recently I've been beating a lot of fast drivers *you know who you are lol* with the map off - I usually look at it every couple of seconds and that was affecting my driving...
