After finishing the epilogue in 2 days, you end up with another 20k. What is the point? The game is finished and there arent any expensive items to buy?

I think the large sum is designed to keep you solvent over the eternity of post-story mode play. With the death surcharge, etc, it can dwindle quickly depending upon how you play. I went on a rampage the other night, and didn't save(my save file is high honour and I have all the discounts, etc) but had I done so I would've locked in a full swing from max to min honour and a loss of a few thousand dollars due to the death surcharge. In about 30 minutes. I could see burning up the lump sum quickly if you play it like that. Which I'm sure lots do.

Also, has anybody found a wild horse that isn't a Morgan or Kentucky Stadler? I feel like they're going to force people to P2W for good horses too. Kinda like GTA you can't really steal a good car...can't find a wild horse above Morgan/Kentucky Stadler.

Not that I've seen. As you noted it fits their precedent. I haven't bothered much looking for anything faster than my provided Morgan as with the game's travel speeds as long as you have a decent gap faster horses take a long time to catch you. Even so, most of the fastest horses have stamina limitations which makes it even more difficult to catch with a solid gap. Like GTA, knowledge of the map trumps max speed in point to point travel.

There isnt much to do after the epilogue.

Made a character for Online today. spent about an hour playing. Did one of the sheriff missions and the first thing that happens apon ending the mission?

Two guys come right up to me, I get hogtied once, manage to break free, then try to fight back. Of course, it being two vs one, I get hogtied a second time, one of them throws dynamite at me which kills me, obviously. Respawn far enough away to escape, yet apparently my horse has been killed. Just closed the game after that.

If we don't get private lobbies or a sort of passive mode with the full launch, my time in the old west is going to be very short.

If your horse gets killed and it's got horse insurance you should be able to call it back over and over again.

Unless the other person stole it and is riding around on it.

It was my first horse, so the insurance was free. After I respawned I tried calling it, and the game said something along the lines of "You have no horses avalible". Horse access was set to friends only, so I'm not sure what happened.

Anyone else’s ONLINE camp keep moving???
Mine was near Saint Denis. Then next time I logged in there was a flash up message in top left saying scruffy old git had packed up camp or something. It was down in new Austin. Then tonight it’s moved again and up near snow area.

Annoying AF tbh.

Yep. If you leave the game the camp will move. It makes because other people might have camped there. Tbh I only went to my camp twice. It's almost useless.

To get stuff I buy, I go to a Post Office. To craft stuff, I use random bonfires scattered around the map.

To me, the camp is just a feature so spend dollars and gold with. Is there any perks to upgrade the camp even? I mean, buying clothes for the guy who's there makes no sense to me. Especially because we couldn't customize his appearance. What's the point in seeing everyone with a twin of my own dude? ^^

I'm doing some stranger missions today to level up. The money grind is too boring atm, so I'll level up to try and unlock a decent gun. Then, I'll spend my dollars. If it takes too much time, I might have to buy a bad-but-slightly-better weapon than the one I have now.

I’m end the epilogue part, so I’m really close to the end, but did anyone else notice:

The part when Marston is working at the ranch, the ranch gets attacked and he finally gets his guns out, and they go attack the camp. In the barn, when that guy starts talking **** about Abigail, and Marston pulls out the sawed off, and you can shoot the guy. Has anyone noticed that when you go to shoot him, it’s kind of a dramatic cut back, and it’s framed exactly like the cover for the first game?

That’s my favorite part of the game by far. That was cool AF.👍

Going to try some online soon, but I’m still really enjoying the main game.

You can recharge you cores. Upgrading the bed makes them charge quicker. Its also a safe zone you can't be killed in.

I found a Hungarian Halfbread, although I'm not sure if it's any better than the others. It's also worth noting that it won't let you use a wild horse. It told me I could not saddle on it as soon as I got on it. :(

So far I've gotten into a cool friendly lobby in which we had organized fist fights around the campfire. But then i got into a ridiculous room where i continued to be killed over and over. I finally had a camp setup near me and sat down to cook all my food. The people killing me came over and sat down at my table for a while and they finally got bored and left.

How does everyone style Arthur? I usually outfit him in a mix of furs and fancy clothes, clean shaven and short hair. Like this below, excuse the poor pic of my tv screen.

For John, that look doesn't work at all. A little bit of facial hair and a cowboy look work well in my opinion

With Arthur I did the full double fork beard, and chops and hair all the way out(think grizzly Adams /mountain man) and the Snake Bulldogger hat. With whatever outfit I feel like.

John, I use mainly the cowboy outfit, with his hat. Facial hair all at around 3, and hair at 6-7 with a left part.

Haven't touched this game for a couple weeks but I hear online is pay to win. Not surprising but still a disappointment.

Yesterday I was getting the C-34878-0 so I didn't play that much.

Today I only got that error once but farming stuff to get money is getting harder and harder. The best spots are filled with people shooting each other a lot of the times.

2 days ago, in my first stranger mission, I had to deliver some mail to a destination but was intercepted by some guy and lost the mission. Today I did the same to another dude. I got the message on the top left screen saying someone had started a mission and I could intercept it... So I did. I rode to the guy, killed him while he was riding at max speed, picked up the mail and rode the rest of the way to the destination. :) Got 250 xp and some dollars. ^^ Easy.

My free bonus horse required 5 gold to insure... so it's not insured. I think you only get free insurance with the crappy horse that the game gives you.

I concluded that Online is not for me. I really dont want to leave the world though. I really really hope Rockstar will add singleplayer contenct in the future. They built such an amazing world it would be a shame if they didnt decide to tell more stories in that world.

Wouldnt it be cool if they would offer both Red dead Redemption 1 as a DLC, but also Red dead revolver in the same world?
As for a Red dead Redemption 1 DLC , it would make some sense, because RDR2 is a new game for many in this generation and the only way to play the "sequel" is subscribe to PSNow or buy a ps3 for PS4 owners.

Online is about what I expected just waiting for a free-aim only lobby/free roam.

Didn't know Feuds were a thing. I accepted this one and the guy came to me after it to say hi. ^^

It all started when I was hunting alligators. This guy came in and killed me while I was putting a pelt on the back of my horse. So I went after him and killed him in a street in Saint Dennis. Then he came back after me and this happened:

I hadn’t actually watched a video of somebody playing with auto aim so far, that looks awful. Is not really boring the fact that nobody can miss? It’s like having an aimbot.

I hate FPS on console, so I like having auto aim. No way I'm playing with free aim on a controller. The controls are not good enough for free aim either IMO. I played BF I with free aim and it felt good. Tough but fair. In this game I couldn't care less. I'm not playing this for the shooting part.

Also, you can miss. Not so much here in the open map but in the PVP modes. It seems like ping or lagg has a bigger impact on those.

Auto aim is far from aimbot my friend. And it's super easy to miss.
