Red-Zone Autoworks (Demonstration Car now out!)

thank you for testing the Evo V.., as you wanted, i will drive your Evo VI GSR, do you want a TME version or just the normal one??

Hey Everyone, Im CamryFan and Im new to the fourm, anyway back onto the subject.

Mazda RX-8 Type S Review

I was thinking about doing one of these cars myself, then I saw yours pop up and I though, Why Not?. First things first I like the way that your garage uses bolt on parts whenever possible, I don't like configuring FC Gearboxes. Installing the parts I was just wondering weather you where under a budget, Things like a TR Clutch and only a SR flywheel, not a criticism just a comment. When all the parts where on I had a figure of 393 hp but 388 hp in the replays so Im guessing it all worked out. I tested the car on the track for the Capri Rally, Costa de Amfli. When driving I noticed that in the higher speed corners. When pushing hard into corners in Second Gear the wheels start spinning giving a little bit of helpful oversteer, but holding it to long will spin the car right around, over the course of the rally I spun 3 times. The close ratio box made the engine feel more alive and was a good match, btw love the choice of the Supercharger, unexpected but very competent in giving the good stuff

Overall a much nicer car to drive but not overly frisky with the understeer killing it in corners.

7.5 out of 10

If your interested I have also tested the Supra and the Slieighty and will do a full review if you want. Here are some short summaries of both cars.

Supra SZ-R.

Interesting choice of NA over Turbo but the car was amazing, This was everything a Supra should be.
9.out of 10

Slieighty.

This is the best drift car I have driven, although it seemed to skate mid drift on the bigger corners.

8.5 out of 10

Welcome, Camryfan!

I must ask, though, why Camry? Personally, I find it one of the very dullest cars I can see on the road today, and I'm in America, so that's not an easy thing to achieve.

Unless, of course, you're talking about the ultimate bolt-on upgrade: a huge FAN on the back of the thing!

About the Camry: Im 16 years old, the parents gave me the old camry even though I always wanted a Celica. The families 01 Camry was the first car I drove on my L's, Im sure you had a similar attachment to your first car EA11R. CamryFan also gives you a hint to wear my loyalties lie (eg Toyota).

Back on topic, I will give a full review of the other two cars, everyone should get feedback for their creations, I just gotta go out and drive them again so they are fresh in my mind.

hmm.., i'm planning to release two drift cars, just don't know when.., here are my teasers:

_ D 3 _
E _ 1 _ R

Yay, puzzles! :D

FD3S
EA11R

Highlight to see the answers as always.

Looking forward to seeing these drifters. ;)

oh you're good, you're very good..,

the second one will be included in the TTL Special List, you'll soon see why.., :)

*edit - i think i'll release the two drifters, along with Chapter 13 of Red-Line.., i just need a week, maybe less..,

No, you must release Red-Line NOW! :P

And yes, I am good. It takes great skill and technique to do what I do. :sly:

Ah, the love for the first car, it strikes again. In reality, I'm only going to be fifteen and half years old in a few weeks, so I've not really experienced that firsthand. Though, I'm preparing: I've managed to fall in love with the AE92 Corolla and mid-90s Jettas, among other sensible choices. I have no life...

And, Drifting, I hope you've done a good job with that Cappo, because I'll give it a go the instant I get my DFP back. You may have noticed that I like the lovely FR Kei-car, which none resemble. (I think; This is the only FR Kei, right?). By the way, that 'puzzle' is really easily solved; I did in three seconds. Not to mention, you still think your Demonstration Car is a secret. You need to be more cryptic. Things are more fun that way :).

Even though I'm a tuner my self, I would like to request a Keiichi Tsuchiya S15 drift car. I'm not all that great at drifting but if you wouldn't mind making it so that I can use it to get better at my driffting? Thank you in Advanced

Hehe, I always assumed the everyone on the internet was older then me, learn something new everyday. I like the sound of the AE92 Corolla and the Jetta if thats the same Jetta from F&F

Im currently working towards the Sil-eighty review, have any recommened drift tracks.

Well even though I'm and ameture at best at driffting I use the Special Stage route 5 Short corse. Also did you know that kid from malcome in the middle boutght the Jetta from the F&F?

He bought that thing? Nice! If you must have an unimportant, FF F&F sedan, that Maxima is bloody beautiful, though.

But, yes, that's the Jetta I like so much. And, come to think of it, I think the Corolla I like is the AE82 Corolla. So that one's not actually very reasonable. The parents are deathly afraid of old cars, even Toyotas.

I just got ahold of my GT4 case, intending to test the drift Cappo when you release it, =drifting24/7=, but I only got the GT4 case, so I don't even have the opportunity to get frustrated by the DS2 controller.

As promised and since Holdenboy is suppose to be testing the Supra....

Sli-Eighty Review

Tested on; Tsukuba and Grand Valley Speedway.
Tested with: DS2
I'm not a drifter, not in GT4. As illustrated before by many different people (check the GT4 Drifting forum for an example) Gran Turismo's physics engine was never really design for drifting, Therefore any person wishing to create a drift set-up had to basically fight the system and produce the best they can do.

Set-up up on Tsukuba, I barrelled toward the first corner, shimmy and give it the ole Scandinavian Flick into the final hair-pin, the back weights up and the car flies with its tail right out and almost, almost drifts around the entire corner. As said I'm not a drifter but when a car does that, it leaves a pretty big impression.

This car still holds true to its blood line, I have driven some S13 Silvia's done by other tuners from this site and they tended to have awful under steer problems. In this car, yes the under steer is still their, but it needs to be, to pull of the drifts that it can. If you get the nose in before the apex, it does fine.

One instance around Grand Valley was the first hairpin, I was just blissfully skating round the corner in 3rd without the power being right on the edge, the great thing about the car is it doesn't need to be hammered against the redline for it to give suitable results. 3rd gear drifts seem to be the cars strong suit, lower down the car tends to snap out of drifts. However it does transfer its weight cleanly with a quick tap of the brakes your into the next bend.

The Sli-Eighty is suited more to Grand Valley then Tsukuba mostly because of the extra road space at Grand Valley.

This is still the best drift car I have driven, although not perfect (for my non drifting hands) I actually can't wait too see if anyone can rival it. Look forward too the "secret" drifters.

Sli-Eighty Review

Alright just settle down. Firstly, it's quite unlikely/almost dead-set that I won't be doing reviews on GT4 any more. Even if I did play the game again, my only comments would be the cars understeer and are twitchy. Secondly, your name is CamryFan, you fortheit the right to call me Holdenboy :P J/K, but seriously, why you callin' me that when we've never even spoken to each other? Did Mafia Boy tell you to? I'll get you Mafs!

thanks for reviewing my cars.., although *cough, cough* Holdenboy should be reviewing that Supra

That's why I called you "HoldenBoy", it will be avoided in future, sorry to cause any disrespect, nd 4 holden spd.

Secondly, Also, why do I need to settle down, I was just restating a fact from that quote.

Thirdly, I did expect such prejudice based on my name, maybe I should change it.

Firstly, I was just joking mate, you can call me Holdenboy.:)

Secondly, Simpsons humour, half the things I say don't make sense to many people because they haven't seen every classic episode of the Simpons 100 times like I have.;) So in other words, I tell people to settle down when they clearly don't need to.:D

Thirdly, it is a forum based on a racing game, and many of us par-take in real life activities involving motorsport of some description, which is why many of us might not like the econo-box boring Camry. The first car I drove was a Hyundai Excel, but funnily my name isn't ExcelFan.;) You can't change your name unless you pay for premium membership. Such is life. It doesn't matter though, your name only counts for initial impressions, which can be ruined or forgotten just as easily on this forum. Know what I mean? Initial impressions rarely stick on these forums, so you'll be fine.

Edit: I think I scared him away.:guilty: I thought I was being friendly :scared:

Heh, Sorry to fly off the handle, I was a bit tired last night and thought I was being personally attacked, i fell quite bad about it now.

Nice ute btw

No worries. Thanks for complimenting my Ute. We're all like old school mates in GT4 section, I guess our comedy would seem a little harsh to someone new to the forums.

I wish I knew where my PS2 was.

lol, good luck with finding the ps2.

Speaking of old school I had an urge to pull out Gt2, weird

Edit: What cars haven't been tested yet.

I know that the GTi hasn't been tested yet, and I'm not certain that another Supra review wouldn't be wanted.

Also, I'm still anxious to see if you perfect that Cappuccino drift car, Drifting.

sorry if i had been one for a week guys, been very busy these past few days, and now that college life has started for me.

@ to the one wants his Evo VI to be tested (sorry mate i forgot your name) - i'm really sorry, i just can't find the time to test it.. i already have the specs on my computer (i'm currently in an internet cafe) but i'm just too busy.., sorry mate.., :indiff:

^thanks.., but, not to be mean, greedy, selfish, or anything, i like to keep my garage solo.., it's popular because of that reason :sly: but thanks for trying to lend a hand anyway, i appreciate it :)

Yeah, I understand completely, 100%. I wasn't really expecting any other answer so I don't mind.

I just wanted to get some of my tunes out before everyone goes to GT5:P

Its no biggie :) Been working on a few other tweaked versions. Might just post up the settings and let others take a stab at it.

I have access to my DFP, but only for this weekend, then not for two weeks after that.

Please finish and release that drift cappo! I assume you've noticed that I have a bit of a fixation on them. ;)
