Sounds like your video settings got reset that's all.
Yep.
Ok here's what you do Nar.
1. Turn the PS3 off.
2. Press and hold the power button until you hear the second beep.
While holding the power button, you will hear the first beep (the beep when it turns on), then while continuing to hold the power button, you will hear the second beep (after you hear this release your finger).
3. After that follow the steps on the screen to set your video settings.
Also Deadbeat I am really sorry it is taking me so long to send you that car back. I normally don't take this long, and for that I am sorry. I am trying to get the AC fixed at the house, and have been busy with that. I am trying to get yours and Ispred's car done tomorrow at the latest, and will send you yours first and then Pred's after.
Way ahead of ya. Already did that. Still no image comes up. As for the cords. Its not that. Because I have two sets. One I never used. I hooked the newer one up and still got nothing. And I can't set a HDMI because I need the screen to show up.
Here's the problem. When it first started the system would come on normally and stuff. Then I would go to a game and it would freeze. Okay..... turned the game off. Went back in everything was normal. Then...... THATS when things started getting weird.
The screen would start showing like blue, green and, pink blobs like pixles almost and the screen would freeze. Regardless of what I was doing. Then it started getting worse and worse. (Note: all of this happend in one day with no warning signs.) I thought it may have been the cords. So I changed cords and TV's and went into another room. It worked. Perfectly for about 2 or 3 hours. Then I went on GT5 froze again. Okay.......
Turned the system off and turned it back on and it started doing the same thing again!! It just kept getting worse and worse. To the point the game would bring different account names up and freeze. Sometimes even before that.
Then it got to the point to where it is now to where the screen isn't even showing up. So I finally was able to get a number and contact Sony. They walked me through some steps all of which failed.
Then lastly they got me to that hidden menu which you guys mentioned. Got there the screen showed up for about 37 seconds. Then it did the same thing and froze again. Brought it up a second time and asked the guy what I was suppose to go to. But it froze again AND the call dropped on his end.
Were thinking it may be the Thermal Paste. If so its a easy fix. Other thing we are thinking is it may be the motherboard. If so........ not so easy fix. T__T To top it off if I send it to Sony and it IS the motherboard I'll probably lose EVERYTHING. Music, Video's, Pictures, and more importantly FIVE AND A HALF YEARS WORTH OF WORK!!!!
The guy I've been talking to said I could take my HD drive out of the PS3 or something before I send it to them so they don't **** with it. I'm praying to god its the first one. lol I'm planning to take it to Compuzone today and see if they can see what wrong with it.
But if you guys can think of what might be wrong with it or how I can keep all my data would be MUCH appreciated.
