You have the GLOD. Basically the RSX Chip (GPU) has lost contact to the board. The only true way to fix it so it doesn't come back is to get the RSX chip re-balled. And as for your hard drive. If you put it in a different PS3 it will format the hard drive due to the PS3 keeping part of the NOR/NAND information on the hard drive. But if you back up your save's before hand to a USB Stick then you will be fine

Sooo....... what your saying is that even if I remove my Hard Drive (HDD) and put it in another PS3 the new PS3 will still wipe it clean like nothing was ever on it?
