Hi Joe and all
Thanks for including me with my usual #88.
Also a big thanks for starting the Blast on 12/11 as it means I'm back from hols and can race. :D

Hope you guys get a bit of practice/testing in so you can tell me how to tune the cars as I'm pretty rubbish.

Love the extra animation in the thread Joe!

Looks like it's going to be a blast.

Some housekeeping notes:

1. I've messaged a couple of drivers (that I'm not 100% sure will come) to confirm their attendance for next Saturday night. As soon as I hear back from them, I'll post here. This will make it easier for the Reserves to know in advance whether there is a slot or not. If any of the Sign Ups from above can't manage, please let me know.

2. I'm in the process of working out the settings for Spa. So far I've got: Time 8:00am / Time Progression 30 / no weather. The final settings won't be much different (if I decide to tweak it). Those settings give us a little darkness at the beginning and end of the race. Race 2 Time Settings at Deep Forest are fixed (can't be changed). For pp and other settings, see post #1.

3. No wings for any races in the "Blast". Except that, any other tuning is fine.

4. The points leader of the championship to use one tyre grade down. That means whoever wins Race 1 next Saturday goes onto Sports Medium for Race 2. If the championship leader doesn't come for the next race then the second-placed driver will use Sports Medium (and so on). If the points are tied at the top then both drivers will use Sports Medium.

5. Fun is mandatory!

Had a run out tonight with Al and managed a 2:34.3 taking a clean line through Eau Rouge! 35s are normal though. However, I struggled at Deep Forest and don't expect to be on the pace there in the Piazza:cheers:

2:34.3 is quick at Spa. I've made some adjustments to mine and gained a second. Had been solid 36's, now solid 35's. Tried a race run, and the tyres hold out for the whole race, and are still driveable when worn down. Haven't tried a race run in the piazza yet, but I'm expecting the rears to wear, as it is quite tail happy.

Looking forward to this. I've got a base tune on all cars so far, with a fine tune on the first 4 we will use. It's hard to know when to stop tuning!

Jona won't manage the championship so a permanent space has opened up. And @mgo (Tom Ascar) can't manage for week 1. So, in order of signing up, @gkgamer (reserve), a place to race next weekend, as well as the first permanent space, should be offered to you.

Also, @quinten1974 (reserve), can you race this Saturday (as mgo can't make it)?

My best in Spa is 1:38:895. One more time, I haven´t got a good gearbox setup .:banghead: . It isn´t faster on the straight, whatever I´ll hope enjoying with all of you. I´m still not time with the Isuzu. See on track friends.

yes I can

Gonna be a great grid. good clean racing with awesome retro replays

Can't wait

The inspiration I had for the Spa/R5 combo came from a race I had last year. The usual dinos, elises etc starting coming out and I couldn't be bothered following suit. So I brought out the R5 turbo as did a New Zealander and what a great, fun, really close battle we had. Even gave one of the poorly driven dinos a run for its money! That race has lived with me ever since and is the reason why we kick off at Spa in that car.

Nice change of avatar Colin. "Time for some fun" springs to mind.

Track limits for Spa and Deep Forest: just be sensible guys. I'm not bothered really but persistent cutting at Eau Rouge ain't cool. For Deep try to have 2 wheels within the white lines particularly at turn 4 (see pic). I don't mind the occasional nibble, but don't do it deliberately gain an advantage. Reasonable is all I ask:tup:

@quentin1974, you're in for next Saturday night, just awaiting gk's reply now.

One more: what's grid order for 2nd race?

Track limits;curps are not track? Whitelines are limit?

This looks like a blast! Had a little run with @Autope10 this morning. First time driving that car. I wasn't particularly fast, I think I hit 1:42.....but its certainly got a lot more in it. Anyway - looks like you're full and I'm not sure I'd be able to make it anyway. But, if the planets align for me, I'd like #44. Message me on PS3 even if it's last minute - PSN ID is Bic44

Thank you

hey guys, I'm off tomorrow so I would really like to join but I have to confess I haven't even done a single test lap with tomorrow's track-car combos so I hope I will not be the disgrace in a compact and prepared, performing field. If you are well prepared @quentin1974 maybe it is better if you race?
