Car-mazda Rx8
Car #-13

I am a GTP endurance series driver
Is that skilled enough?
There are currently 3 Mazda's, but someone is willing to change to the Audi R8, or the Ferrari 430. Would you rather have one of those, or for sure the Mazda RX-8

If it is seen you have gained a major advantage in the week prior to a race, you will be slightly detuned. (This will keep it fair to all other drivers who do not yet have a technical understanding of setting a car up)

Is this referring to the "Success Ballast" penalty?

Also what will the grip/boost setting be at?

We have 14 drivers and counting, keep it up guys. We will have a great racing series here. Not to mention with some very skilled drivers. I'm am very excited to see what will come of this small but growing league!!! Don't forget to check the OP regularly for updates and new information about our current series and future series.

Edit: Also, a lot of you haven't met yet as it seems we have groups of 3 or 4 at a time. So don't be afraid to talk on here. All of you should have met @FootballFan48 and myself by now. But not all of you have met each other!!! Get talking guys!!!

Argh

Sorry @swiftsmith and @Cole Brown

When the race starts at 8 pm its 2 o clock at night here in the netherlands so i can't race

(damm why are these cool racing series always at night :( )

I sign off
Sorry guys
Awe, Damn, well sorry to hear that Gilles, It'll be open whenever you wish to join. I just assumed that you being in GTP E almost any time could work, lol. Thanks for coming by at least! Good luck with everything! Other series I host will probably be earlier. Whats the latest you could race?

I can race until 12 utc midnight

On a weekly day

Does the nascar league also drive on road courses btw?
Ok, I'll keep that in mind for future events!!! Depending on how things with everyone else works. You could still possibly race. Would 10 utc be good, 6 est here. I can start asking about.

10 sounds good
Ok Gilles

Everyone else, @FootballFan48, @swiftsmith, @Harry6784, @amdlll, @wayne hammond, @TonyStert, @Crimson-Z, @TyGuy97, @P Restel, @Mikkelhost, @hcfirefighter09, @MikeGtp, and @Lyon860. Would 6:00 EDT be alright with everyone. Everyone here on the GtPlanet seems invested so far. So I'll leave it up to you guys for now. The rest I will message on PSN

Cars are all locked at there current regulations for the season. The times for the cars are up to show. Goodluck everyone, the first race is in 6 Days, make sure to get in a lobby and practice. I don't want to have to turn away anyone at the door!

Welcome to the Pennzoil Championship Series!

This League may not be too different from many other series. As they say, "Beauty is in the Eye of the beholder". So Yes, it is centered on high-octane, wall to wall racing as many others are, this league though, is built on a foundation focusing on community, like the GtPlanet itself. A community.

In a League, it should be fun, you should look forward to coming to the track every week, and talking to newly made friends. You shouldn't look at it as a job. This is a place for everyone to come relax, and have a little fun while you're at it. Things may get heated at times. But we’re all competitive friends here. Regardless of what happens in and out of races, they will always be resolved, everything is temporary. Though this is a community of racers, this is a very serious and ambitious league that's looking for skilled drivers as well as beginners, Mics and Wheels are preferred, but can be tolerated if you don’t have one.

In this community, Everyone will have a say and will be heard out. There won't be petty arguments that you may see in other leagues. If so, they will be dispatched quickly.
So if you're ready to be relieved of all the drama of past series, or are looking for a fresh start. Come on in, grab a drink, take a seat and Welcome to the Pennzoil Championship Series, your new home for racing.
Lets go racing.

Starting this July, we will begin our inaugural season of the Pennzoil High Performance Series. A schedule with 10 races at varying tracks. The Street Cars will be ran with given regulations, such as the Performance Points, and Horse Power, and tires, this isn't Spec Racing though, You are allowed to tune the car to your liking.

Cars Lock for Drivers of the PHPC July 4th at 10:00Am

This league will hold you accountable for all actions. Please be aware of the GTP OLR, Our OLR, and the Racecraft Guide

If you do not have a GtPlanet account will need to create one to stay connected to the community!

Welcome to the primary league of the Pennzoil Championship Series!
The Pennzoil High Performance Championship otherwise known as the PHPC!
This series is all about Driver Ability and Skills on a given track.
In this series space is limited to 12 cars on track. That however does not limit the number of drivers there can be in the series. This keeps space limited in rooms, and opens up a door to a refreshing new intensity in the series.

There are Six cars, whichever car you choose the other drivers with the same car will be your teammates but will also your competitors. If there are more than two drivers in a car, only the fastest two will make it in the race. If you DNQ, you will be welcome to stay and watch.

All Drivers will need to put their info in the thread.

Retaliation is not illegal in this series, but frowned upon, there is a fine line of whether you step over it or not. Drive smart and keep your head.
Before the race there will be a 10 minute group qualifying feature.

If there are only 12 Drivers, everyone will make it in regardless of time.

If there are 12+ Drivers, then those who Do not Qualify will not be able to race, it is go or go home.
At race start it will be set to Grid Start With False Start Check.

The race will not begin on the first lap.

Leaders will get into order going the designated pace speed.

One formation lap to get everyone into order.

At the start finish line, the race will be green Starting the race.
(Full Caution) At the moment a caution is called PITS CLOSE. Leaders then coast to pace speed. Once all cars are caught up, pits will then open for all cars. If lap down cars don't pit after the first lap then they may claim there wave around. Cars that received a wave around may pit as the field is going green. If a car has severe damage, two or more wheels or engine, you must pit.

Since weather will be variable at the tracks where possible, if there are any sudden down pours a caution will be thrown, drivers will pace 20MPH below the pace speed, then drivers will be escorted, or escort themselves to the pits. After all drivers have made their necessary changes, we will return to green the following lap. After this point it is up to the driver to be watching for the rain to subside, it will be up to you from then on.

In the event of prolonged rain showers resulting in 100% track humidity, reduced visibility and grip for a given amount of time, a red flag will be thrown for the safety of the drivers.

At the half-way mark of every race the yellow will be thrown to bring the field back together.

(Quick Caution) At moment of caution called Pits Close and leaders coast to pace speed. Once all cars are caught up pit will then open for All Cars. There will be no wave around. This will be used to save time and use less laps under caution at the end of a race.

Certain Events will have to take place for a caution flag to be displayed.

A caution where cars crash independently, be it only one going off, or be it one going off and another following. Will not result in a caution.
  1. Single car crashes will not be grounds for a caution unless a danger to the field.
  2. Collision resulting in 3 or more cars damaged(Will be reviewed)
  3. Collision Resulting in 2 or more cars spinning(Will be reviewed)
  4. Player Disconnecting will result in a red flag
  5. 7 or more in a crash will result in a red flag
