Since FH3 is taking place in Australia I wonder if they will add Mad Max's Interceptor. I said before that I was not very impressed (E3) but I have to admit (few months on) that this is growing on me after seeing many FH2 pictures and the cars that have been reveiled for FH3 so far.

Could've sworn they hinted at it in an interview they did a few months back when asked about the customization.

Here's some sweet, sweet, glorious 4K Ariel Nomad gameplay from IGN.

Personally, I'm just glad to see they've fixed the issue of tires clipping through the ground. Nothing destroyed the immersion more than half of the tire on my Ford Ranger going into the ground after a small jump.

Also, those water effects look amazing. I'm super eager to take from photos of my car being reflected off the waves.

EDIT:

Also, here's the race's route on the map:

Damn you PG and T10 for making a good looking game! Horizon 3 seems to be pretty impressive so far. Can't wait to see what else is in store.

There's still one thing I find annoying about FH3; they're not porting every road car from FM6. I can't quite understand how they couldn't other then offroad physics I suppose.

I think quite a bit of work goes into porting a car from Motorsport to Horizon and simply isn't just a button press. It's why we've seen a gradual flow of FM5 cars that didn't feature in FH2 slowly make there way to FH3 like the Saleen S7 for example. They've got to balance this with modelling new cars and other factors (licensing etc) - so that's why not all FM6 road cars make it in. I think the ones they do port over are fantastic and add to what is looking like a brilliant car roster alread and we've still got a lot of cars to go (90ish??)

Perhaps some assets are not allowed to be shared, contractually, between T10 and Playground and are as such exclusive to the Motorsports franchise?
Oh, how I hope that's not the case, because that would be ridiculous imo. That would most certainly annoy me.

Sure, I understand that; I didn't assume it was a simple button push either. Though, I imagined that it would be a much easier task than getting a car modelled or scanning roads and areas of a continent/country.

I think they are too. I just can't help, but be bothered about how they couldn't get the all in though. Anyway, it's more around the neighborhood of 62 cars left to be revealed, maybe a few more.

Another issue could be that the license contract for the vehicle will be out by the time the game comes around, and that it would'nt renew in time to meet the deadline, so it gets left out completely. Either way, I think that makes it less ridiculous, not more. If that is what is actually happening? Who knows.

Very cool mate. But don't hibernate! Do you like olympics? You can watch lots of different events next week and then after sunday it'll be just two days until the game's released ;)

Just back from a 2week vacation in Melbourne, including a road trip on the Great Ocean Road (Nissan Pathfinder) /Mornington Peninsula (Nissan Pathfinder) /Yarra Valley (Smart Fortwo)... What a beautiful landscape you guys in OZ have. I'm jealous. Can't wait to see what Horizon 3 has in store. (some crappy phone pics)

Maybe we'll get trucks with Super Cheap Auto liveries, passing by every now and again.
I'm also thinking we'll see a bit of wildlife at times.

Six weeks till release? Got mine preordered yesterday. I wish they would've taken the money there and then, though.

Since they typically leave the Tuesday reveals to third-party news outlets before covering on the official site Wednesday, and Gamescom kicks off for media tomorrow, I'd temper expectations. I feel like they may be saving the news for tomorrow...
