I wonder if the handful of HRE rims from FH2 will return, then.

Also, going by the FM6 announcement timeline, either the 29th or next Wednesday seem likely candidates for the beginning of the car reveals, if they do it the same way. Personally, I'd rather this week, if only because the 29th is my birthday. :P

Can we use you as emotional blackmail?

"If you don't start the reveal tomorrow you'll ruin my birthday :("

I doubt I'll really be around here much at all that day, so I'm really not too bothered if it happens or not. Just think the 29th is a great day on the calendar is all. :D

Hello everyone, uh..how could i say this? okay..

For a month ago or so, i been excited to see the upcoming Forza Horizon 3 and also spent some time watching videos on Youtube about the new Forza plus Forza Motorsport 6 and Forza Horizon 2. It made me think about buying an xbox one console more and more. I have been asking members and writing Status on this forum whatever should i buy an Xbox or not. I already own an PS4 since 2 years ago and even thought PS4 might be better at overall games. I still want to buy an Xbox for exclusive games, mainly Forza Series. Now i will keep my PS4 as the main console to play (Anything available on both systems then buy it for PS4) so i don't want to pay a lot for just a console that i won't play as much as the PS4.

So what's my choices to do?

1) Buy a new Xbox One (Fat) Console
2) Buy a used Xbox One (Fat) without any warranty but run the risk of being broken.
3) Wait until Xbox One Slim but that means i got to wait and might miss the launch day of FH3 because it takes some time for a new thing to reach here. (Based on Wikipedia, XB1 Fat released here on September 2014!).
4) Not bother to buy an Xb1 at all.

Thanks for reading and i hope you're hyped for the new Forza!

@ToyGTone - the obvious question: do you currently own, or plan on purchasing in the near future, a dedicated gaming PC? Because if you do, and your main reason for wanting an XB1 is Forza, I'd say skip the console.

I've got an XB1, and it's primarily only for Forza (I've got PCARS and NFS on it, and recently grabbed The Crew because it's free for a month). A gaming PC isn't really an option for me at this point in life, so I'm content being a lowly console peasant, but the ability to play FH3 at 60fps is something you should consider. The drawback is you won't get a proper Motorsport title on PC until next year's FM7 (if it indeed comes next year).

I'd suggest giving the game library on the One a serious looking over. If other games grab your attention, it might be worth looking at getting a cheapish used one.

Up until recently I have always thought the sensible console to buy was the PS4 with its greater power and easier menus. However, it's becoming increasingly hard to justify this choice because of the consistently amazing Forza releases that keep hitting us at full force to the extent that right now the Xbox One is by far the superior choice of console for car fans. The games are what it's all about after all.

If you can't wait, grab a current model and start playing. You will not regret it.

While i really want to build a PC for gaming, i have already struggling to convince my family to pay at least over $320 for ether a new or used Xbox one. He said he might do but it might also take some time because he hates me we might travel to some places. I can't just tell him to pay $1000 or so for a PC.

I want to play the older Forza games before the FM3 release and also some of XB1 exclusives especially if it came with the console.

If you have a 4K television, or are planning on buying one soon, that would be the only reason to wait for an Xbox one s. The prices on regular xb1 will be coming down, and have already.

Actually I have a 1tb xb1, but the cool thing about xb1 is you can plug external storage in. I think you can buy 2tb of external storage for 80-100 dollars.

I don't think I'd chance a refurbished unit, if your going to spend the money, spend a little extra and get a new one. :)

Forza 6 and forza horizon 2 will give you plenty to do while waiting for forza horizon 3.

Nah we don't have any 4K TV's.

I know this might be silly but should i go and buy the Blue Forza Edition one or normal one (which could be cheaper or more expensive depending)?.

I guess you'd have to look that up lol, the forza one makes car noises when you start up, I think. The price will mainly depend on whether you get a 500gb version or a 1tb version. When I bought mine last fall it was $50 more for the 1tb version, but that's why I brought that up about the external storage as well. I think my 1tb console was $350, it came with three games. Look for good bundles where it comes with games(like the forza one).

I haven't went over using 500gb of my 1tb, but I've been pretty close, you have to figure a chunk of that 500gb is already used up for the system, before you even download any games. It's really easy just to uninstall digital games though to free up space once your finished with them. You can always reinstall at a later date if they come out with DLC, or you want to play them again.

Best day to eat gnocchi too.

(It's tradition in South America, mainly in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay to eat them on that day)

I have a 500gb fatty too and just wanted to add that I ended up having a bit under 20% of free space, then I bought an external drive (2TB) and I saw a noticeable improvements in some games' performances, especially with pCARS. Although as you say uninstalling is an option but I like having every game on the drive ready to be played.

Since you already have a PS4 and your main motivation for Xbox is to experience Forza, why not get a beefy PC? FM6 is not complete on the PC, however, the full game for FH3 and all future Forzas will be coming to PC. If you want to enjoy H2 and FM6 on the One (I wholeheartedly recommend them), then you should get a slim but ONLY if you have a 4K TV or planning to buy one, otherwise, its useless. And I have not come across one person who simply wants to buy the XOne S to see 4K Blueray movies. Things look nice and crisp on a native 1080p TV as it is.

I'd recommend going with the regular Xone if you want to enjoy H2, FM6 and other X-One exclusives only. You can always get an external (which are faster and more econonimical), though I strongly feel the interal 500 GB does just fine as you won't be installing more than 6-7 games at one time. No concern for you as you're going for the exclusives. For me at least, 500 GB suffices. Long gone are the days of SuperNES and Mega Drive where you felt you just had to pick up every game that comes out!

Hello everyone.......
So what's my choices to do?
my 2c's
get a cheap used xbone, get the games (fm,fh) digitally and play till you drop.
next year, a month before scorpio is released, sell your cheap xbone and preorder a scorpio. (pretty sure it will launch with forza 7)
bam! you win!
