Hell yeah I am. My goal is to have my PC built by then so I can join you all at long last.

Im also building a PC this fall for Horizon 3 and other games. Cool to hear so many others are as well.

My only concern is what wheel to get, as I heard not all wheels are compatible with Horizon 3 even on the PC, and such wheels may not work on PS4. May not be that big of an issue since I doubt I'll be getting a racing game on the PS4 for a very long time (GT7 in 2020 maybe?) once I get a gaming PC this fall.

Looking forward to racing with you guys so much

I'm also trying to get myself a PC build for Horizon(either by the release date or before the end of the year.)

But first i need to find a job....

Expect a wheel announcement before release. I'm pretty sure that was a Logitech on stage during the unveil...

I would also build a PC if I had room in my house, but I don't so I'm just going to have to stick with the plebian console versions for the time being.

I think they'll struggle to lock out certain wheels on the PC. Even if they go for some weird protocol (and they may be smart enough not to waste their time bothering), I wouldn't give it long before someone makes a driver for all the "normal" wheels out there.

Hell, I'm using a DS3 to play Forza Apex at the moment. Apex thinks it's an Xbox controller.

I'm reasonably sure it was a Logitech on the stage, though no idea which. But as others have said, once wheels are able to be used on PC, I imagine it's only a matter of time before pretty much any wheel can be used, if only unofficially.

FH3 is really tempting me to make the leap to PC. Wondering if any of you lovely people would have any idea how much a gaming PC that could handle most games at 1080p 60fps at a higher detail quality would cost?

Heh, I'm seriously tempted by 60fps goodness, but considering I just got this, I'm pretty sure my girlfriend would leave me if I bought a dedicated gaming PC.

It's hard enough convincing her I need a rig setup – something that's best saved for when we move to a bigger place.

Apples computers are just things of beauty, hoping to get a MacBook Pro this year.

Yeah 60fps is just too tempting, it would take horizon to new heights for me. I've also been wanting to try things like game mods and Beamng drive so I'm eager to make the jump.

I don't have any idea how much it would cost especially in the UK but I'd say don't discard buying a second hand PC. I bought an used HP workstation with dual Xeon (yep 2 processors, 12 physical cores) with 24gb RAM, built in RAID (2 bays) and a not so good GTX 750ti for 950 AUD and it works great.

I hadn't tried it for games until this week because it I got specifically for photo and video editing and I was told that the graphics card wouldn't be that fast for gaming. But now with this Steam sale I went and got Assetto Corsa, pCARS, Raceroom (just a couple of tracks) and I'm really surprised how well they all run @1080p, especially pCARS comparing it to the XBone version.

Please note that I could have gotten something a lot cheaper like a used PC with an i5 and then spent the difference of a new PC on a more powerful GPU, if it's mainly going to be used for gaming I'd suggest having a look for something like that. You won't believe the kind of bargains you can find on the ol' Gumtree, There's a UK site too, right?

Thank you very much for the advice 👍

Edit: just come across this. Wonder if it's any good? http://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonev...-pc-for-750-benchmarks-included/#631daafa3985

THOSE are the kind of tracks I want to see in FM, unlike the long and wide, plain-looking US ones they have. Still, the track roster is fantastic in FM6, though more street and nature-inspired tracks are welcome.
This also applies to horizon for me. I'm hoping we get more narrow, tight roads as the majority in FH2 felt quite generic to me.

1200 minimum if you want 1080p60fps at higher settings than Xbox One.

My rig:
Cooler Master Advanced - 100-150$
MSI B85 g43 - 80-100$
i5 4460 - 190-200$
16Gb DDR3 - 60-70$
Power Supply 650w 80+ Gold - 80-100$
Custom RX480 4Gb 200-230$(first custom build cards will release 14 July)
HDD 1Tb - 50$
=900$
Prices via newegg.com(USA). In Europe its 10-20% more.

Or you can buy 1151 motherboard+DDR4+i5 6500(cost almost the same, but with slightly more performance)

In apex with this rig you will get constant 60fps(1080p, Ultra, MSAAx8).

Im building my PC around the new Radeon Polaris RX 480. Total estimated build price is just over $750. Should be enough to get 1080p/60fps most of the time with a mix of medium and high settings. At least Im hoping so.

$20 - DVD Drive
$30 - Hyper Cooler 212
$40 - Case
$53 - 2TB 7200RPM HDD
$60 - 750 watt PSU
$60 - 16GBs DDR3
$65 - Gigabyte GA-970A Motherboard
$86 - Windows 10
$150 - AMD 8350
$200 - AMD Radeon Polaris RX 480

$764

Flashback to 1997. Im gaming on the original Playstation. The track is 'The Outback'. The game is Need for Speed II. Im in my new favorite car of all time, the Ferrari F50. I love this track - its high speed and the diversity in scenery is fantastic. You start in downtown Sydney, then you explode into the Australian outback, blazing a hot trail through the desert and past a small village.

The idea I can recreate something similar to this in 2016, in 1080p with possibly the Ferrari F50 = nostalgic overload

So my Xbox 360 arrived and came with a digital download code for Horizon 2 (again Xbox 360 version) and a month of Gold (code as well), problem is I already own Horizon 2 on the XBOne so I don't need this game and I also have no need for Gold since I'm already subscribed there.

Is there any of you that hasn't played Horizon 2 and owns a 360 and would like to have this (same for Gold)?
