Alright, I don't know what you're attempting to do, but stop.

Otherwise I'll just close the thread.

Does not really prove much mate you could have done that with assists on and then took a picture,

But either way this is a thread for tuning not proving who can drive the better tune, if you want to do that set up a face off tune your cars and get out on track and sort it out the proper way.

What ever you do do not cause this thread to be closed as a lot of people on and off this sight will be gunning for the 2 of you

So i explain.
DIGITALCARDS laugh at my??? So i decided to try he's work, picked Porsche and applied all setups, in options changed driving style from PRO to babies Experienced, just how he post in he's word document, there is every thing, and i went to Nordschleife. Somehow he dare to make fun off me posting he's time 7:23:270 on Experienced. Sow i give myself a try with he's car and that what happens. It's simple!

Hey, Teeronium, love the settings for thr Ford GT and the Elise 111R. These have definately shaved seconds off lap times. I really appreciate what you are doing here. I've had to adjust how I hit the throttle, though, have to go real easy on it now, not that this is a problem. One problem though, oversteer on the GT. What would be the best adjustments to make to take the over steer out? I actually put the car into a 360 degree turn more than once. Thanks for your time, and keep up the good work here.

Sorry, I hadn't even noticed there were newer posts since good ol' daan there intervened with the bs that was taking place.

In any case, the best way to tune for oversteer is to actually pinpoint what causes the loss of grip. It could be the car bouncing, it could be anything to be honest. You can adjust any of the following: caster angle (a cheap way to reduce oversteer and it minimizes the capacity to slide through corners) toe angle, or, you can simply offset it with understeer by adjusting the front and rear damper fast bump.

Hello RT and thanks for a wonderful thread. Just took up nfss after a long break and have a couple of questions:

Do you still use adcon settings from page 4 of this thread?

What aides do you use?

Thanks mate!

I was wondering where I stored those!

Only aide I use is ABS as I don't particularly care for brake pumping with a controller.

Things will be back in full swing once the new 360 makes it way to my house. Trying to compensate with the PS3 version just didn't work, mainly due to the horrible configuration layouts, and as such the WTC 2 has been halted indefinitely, but the tuning guide and tutorial will still be finished, regardless.

Welcome, here at Renown Tuning we aim to provide some of our best settings for even the wildest vehicles; we're new in the game so we're starting smaller with the current Need For Speed Shift, but we will move our business over toward Gran Turismo 5 and Forza Motorsport 3 the second the opportunity presents itself. Being that this is our grand opening we are readily able and willing to acknowledge feedback of any kind. At Renown Tuning we focus on track specials, and all the speed for your money. All profiles are constantly updated as the settings improve under circumstances. We will however provide custom individual settings on a request-only basis, by these means you could have such settings provided to you (the customer) by private means also at request.

We provide settings based purely on that of a racing nature, we do not specialize in drifting. Our primary goal is simple and that goal is to give you the best possible simulation experience in Shift to the very best of my experience and abilities. All of the settings will be handled by myself and I've said already I'm more than happy to acknowledge criticism whether it be negative or positive, so long as it's civilized, otherwise it will just be disregarded. I'm going to list my own personal favorites/settings shortly but let's concentrate on the task at hand first - speed and stability!

Renown Tuning has had a successful quarter thus far and as such I figured it'd be more than appropriate to expand on the procedural techniques involved, and establish a few good policy standards.

What goes into testing and how does Renown Tuning test vehicles?

Our official test track is London River, all of the RT-Spec vehicles are driven hard around every corner, whereby oversteer, understeer, body roll and braking are carefully monitored and evaluated according to such solutions as...

- How much countersteer is needed to maintain the vehicle's orientation?
- Is the overall braking distance satisfactory?
- Is the suspension capable of absorbing bumps without bottoming out as a result?
- Are the aerodynamic properties satisfactory without severely hindering the cars performance?

What constitutes as a "good" lap time?

- Depending on the vehicle and the tier it belongs to that time can vary from car to car, however, a general rule of thumb is a good lap around London River with any vehicle is typically less than 1 minute, 30 seconds.

How long does it take for a vehicle to qualify as being "RT-Spec"?

- Again, depending on the tier it can vary from one car to the next. Some cars are a lot easier to tune than others, some only require minimalist effort while others require time and concentration. The standard waiting period for any tune to be stocked is within 24 hours, unless otherwise noted.

Does Renown Tuning offer drift tunes?

- We waited around long enough knowing someone would specialize in this; so, in short, yes, now we do offer drift tunes.

What if I am unhappy with the tune?

- Simply alert me to whatever the problem may be and I will do my best to alleviate the problem as soon as possible.

What's the difference between a Track Special, Speed Special, RT Custom, and RT Exclusive tunes?

- First off, before the answer is addressed in full, the reason these tunes are divided amongst four sets is for ease of access and are purposely arranged as such. As for the differences, a Track differs from a Speed Special in the specific sense that the former has the sole intent of giving the best performance around a track, allowing the user to get around any track as fast as possible using as much speed and aerodynamic ability as possible. The latter focuses on getting the absolute of performance capability while maintaining overall stability. An RT Custom is that which has been specifically requested by a customer, and an RT Exclusive are the tunes of my own personal taste according to my own driving style, or at least to the extent that the game will allow.

Does Renown Tuning have any specific "business" hours?

- In fact we do, Renown Tuning is available Monday through Thursday for all reasonable hours, and we are closed Friday through Sunday, however, this does not mean requests still cannot be filed within that time.

You speak of expanding your "business" to other games, are you still intending to carry out with this procedure?

- Absolutely. A specific garage for Gran Turismo 5 has a tentative opening of sometime in 2010

Renown Tuning - Driver Discretion Advised.

Hi,

Would you be so kind and share setups for "10 rated" subaru for short tracks, and a "14 rated" RS4 for nordschleife?

Thank you!

the corvette tune you did was a little off, maybe it was cus i'm PS3 and you were 360? It was good but way too sensitive. I tried a few other settings with the suspension, helped a little bit but it's still very sensitive. I'll try again with the steering input down some more, I think i have it at 60% I'll drop it to 50%. The z06 tune is pretty good except for the twitchy-ness of throttle inputs. Any info on how to obtain the DBR9? I heard level 50 but is it rewarded to you or just a car you can race in certain online events?

Which raises my question – which I want to ask all along – see here and there hints towards it – but never answered:
Is there a difference between PS3 and 360 tuning and driving?
I do have the same experience when I apply the tune ups of this page at my PS3.
e.g.Z06 and Viper. The Lampo (Mu and Ga) settings on the other hand are perfect.
I applied the little change from Terronium – stated somewhere from a user here within the forum – and bingo.
Bottom line: Does someone know for a fact that there is a difference between PS3 and 360 tuning/driving?
Thank you

The only difference is the controls. I had to give up playing on the PS3 because said controls are horrible, and as such I can't tune another car until I get another 360.
