A friend asked me to show the tire degradation in rF2. Guys, other than the visual effects you feel it on the wheel. Just incredible stuff.

rF2 is really going to be great, they just need to get everything to work well together and it's gonna be one of the best sims out there! In my oppinion the physics are a bit too forgiving right now but for a Beta is doing pretty good.

Is that using the same sound sample from the first Rfactor?

Also, how much for this beta?

Not sure if this has been asked already, but is there a 60's F2 mod out yet? I love F1s but the F2's, at least the ones in Grand Prix Legends, have slightly less power but are an absolute JOY to drift around corners! Are they in rFactor 2 yet?

F2's and F3's are also included in the 1960's World Class Racing series in game.

Does one of you guys know to select an HDR profile? I've ticked the box in the launcher (Configure Sim) but I can't select a profile. The box is just empty. I guess I'll have to download them - but where can I get them? How can I create my own? My game is currently looking like this:

Actually, that's me driving so it's exactly like that. It's not looking bad (plus YT is lowering the quality as well) but not as excellent as I've seen it in other videos. :/

That track looks really good. Problem I have with the first rF is that there aren't enough included tracks, and the modded tracks I've used don't have as much immersion because the scenery is just bleh. Ohio looks great though, so I hope that they can incorporate more of the real stuff into rF2.

Mr. S, do you have the lifetime purchase of rF2?

Nope, went for the cheaper one. Might request a refund & purchase the full one, tho. Then again, I'm mostly racing vs. AI so I don't know if I'd make use of the multiplayer after the first year and singleplayer will work unlimited from what I understood.

Where do I get myself updated and mods for Rfactor 2? seems like I bought into the Beta and nothing has happened since. I've seen a few mods here and there but you have to really dig deep it seems to get anywhere.

Only now I realised that Rfactor 2 beta had actually had an update since release, nothing on their official website about it, no emails about it and when the client checks for updates it tells me that there are no updates to be found. Quite bad form.

Edit : I've now got build 85.

Renault 3.5 - This car is terrible, drove 1 lap around monaco and it near ripped the insides of my wheel apart with the FFB, crazy steering ratio even with my wheel set to 360 in profiler It feels like driving a bus in terms of how much you need to turn the wheel. The car is bouncing everywhere and has no road holding, low grip, especially low speed grip it seems to just judder and bounce around the tarmac - I don't know if it could be any further from reality, much the same on the other tracks with the tyres juddering around.

The 60's F1 car is a much better driving experience, a little bit floaty, probably too floaty but very driveable, I can run it around monaco with a lot of practice, something tells me this is far more difficult than reality though, Jacky Stewart said that GP Legends was more difficult than reality, and this is more difficult and more floaty than GP Legends, still though it is good.

Renault cup car? I like it, a tonne of oversteer on lift and perhaps a bit exagerated but the car is known to do that in the real world.

To me it seems like the old F1 cars are great, Renault cup car is good too but that Formula Renault thing is horrible. To me this build feels pretty much exactly the same as the first build.

That pretty much sais it all, even when I go searching for the latest build I can't find it, and again the client sais "all is up to date". Whats the point in an auto-update feature if it doesn't work. They sure make you go out of your way to try to keep it up to date.

You know what I do for Simraceway? I log in and it updates itself. For Project cars? click a big ass link on the main website.

Anyway, will try to find the correct update and try again.

^ Oh, I've never had trouble finding the 'Downloads' sticky-thread in the forum main page. Which has the full installer for latest build and an update from previous build right under it.

Pcars has a link on the main page? I've missed that one. :) From their forum I've been using the 'Downloads' page which has the links.

I had to really dig around to find the forum, it wasnt linked to where I purchased and downloaded the original beta, why a completely different website? When I did find it I found my way to build 85.

I really don't see why they need 3 different websites, why they never email me about anything and why I need to go to another forum to find a link to their forum, to download the updates (race department).

I litterally went months thinking there was no updates because the client told me everything is up to date, and I had no idea of the existance of the forum.

Hey guys, I cannot get rFactor 2 to feel right with my Thrustmaster T500RS. Can any of you recommend force feedback settings, in-game? I have the driver set at 80% force feedback.

Thanks!

maybe turn spring force and damper all the way down? i am not sure of thrustmaster settings. but those are what need to be turned down on fanatec and logitech wheels. you may need to change ingame ff from 100% to -100%?

I have the same wheel and it feels great to me. In your profile leave the feedback at 60%, and leave everything at 100% except for damper and centering spring (both at. 0%)

in game, make you let the game auto determine degrees of rotation

What "profile" are you referring to? Is that in the Thrustmaster driver, or in rFactor 2? If its rFactor 2, the only settings I know of are in the "settings" tab which is available after the game loads up.

yea I meant in your thrustmaster driver settings. 60% is the most linear setting, then adjust in game feedback to taste

Have they got rid of the dead zone in rF2 using the G27 wheel? It's really causing me problems on the first rF using Formula cars because I can't place them correctly when travelling at high speeds in a straight line and coming to a corner, etc. I haven't had this issue with any other games using the wheel.

Off the top of my head doesn't rF2 set a default 10% deadzone? Check your settings in-game and make sure X deadzone is at 0 (or 1-2% depending on preference).
