So? Is this a good way to interact with your customers?I suspect PD crawls the internet to read the occasional forum post.
In fact ISI dn't have some random employees, they have spokesmen. And they are not yelling at all, it's clear you don't know anything about them. They are not like the average PR marketing idiot, they know what they are talking about and most of times they can give useful answers on the matter.Like with any company, you don't want some random employee popping up on the forums representing the company and yelling at fans.
Fan sites are just fan sites. They should focus on news, organizing online events, appreciation threads and stuff like this. They can't sobstitute a certain company in any way. Oh and it's not like if ISI has their own feedback forum, Other rF forums don't even exist. There are lots of them: rFactorcentral for instance, and almost every sim racing site has an rFactor section.Plus, by not having a central fan site, you give other sites the opportunity to shine equally.
From now I don't even bother wasting time in GT5 section anymore, even if someone agree with me nothing can change, it's really just a waste of time. And time is money.Sure, extreme fans might attempt to poke holes in your logic but that is much more preferable to just posting your idea in some blog or something and not having anyone at all give you feedback.
That's the kind of ansewer that simply prove my whole point. I don't need to give you any reason. The answer is because I want to. We live in the social era and other companies like ISI, SimBin and SMS offer this service so I wanna be able to talk with someone at PD as well, period.I am not sure why people want to talk to PD? What exactly would you tell them?
People are just people, they are not developers, I don't need to persuade people about anything, I just need to talk wih someone from the Staff, then they can judge by themselves if something may work or not. Tim Wheatly and Max Angelo use their own logic, they don't need rfactor's fanboys opinion at all. They would probably get flooded with thousands of conflicting ideas.
We tried to get some races going in the rFactor(1) thread, but no one would commit. I am down for one, even if it is random races in different mods amongst friends. I can only commit to weekends though, travel all week :/
You can always turn it off! I know I will!G-force simulation seems exaggerated. The graphics are not improving.

G Force Simulation? On Rf2?
Notice how the head(camera) moves arround on the cockpit.
Well, yes and no.
Unlike the headache/nausea inducing GT5 effect, the horizon is mostly steady, as our head/eyes adjust in real life, the car moves around you. This is what Kaz misses in GT5 where the effect is that of a camera mounted on a hard surface of the car, transmitting the road/car vibration to the image as a whole.
How is the AI in rFactor?

Do you all think it would be worth it to get rFactor, or should I hold out for rF2?
Hum...There is so much excellent quality content for rFactor(1), I don't see how ~$20 isn't worth it. If you do get it, just focus on the very best mods and tracks, you will enjoy it.
rFactor 2 Open Beta will be out in mid/late January,I'm not holding my breath yet, I personally may need a new PC for it.
JavDefinitely agreed! I'm hoping my PC will be able to handle rFactor 2!
G Force Simulation? On Rf2?
Yeah it can be adjusted in the options or definitely be able to edit it otherwise using notepad or something. It is supposed to be mod-able. It looks cool but exaggerated in that video
I mean the camera shake in that open wheel video.
They've released new downloads today so it should be getting closer...

So I went in search for the Spec requirements and found these:
And here's my computer's specs (That I found anyway):

I'm curious to if that would be sufficient.
Very unlikely and if it does it will most likely will not be an enjoyable experience and by the way you put your wifi card down as your video card . I think your video card is an: Intel X4500M HD .
I officially don't know what I'm talking about. Of course it won't matter much if what you say is true as it'll be something else I won't be able to enjoy on this computer
