Well, it runs on my lil'PC, but it is not up to the task. I have built my "wish" list at Newegg, when I've saved enough I'll order it. For now I will have to keep using the Beta in solo mode. rF2 is looking very promising indeed.

PS; No way to export movies yet, right?

How much is it for the Beta? (In £ if available, if not USD will do) I don't want to download it to find out it's £35-40. The website doesn't say, it just gives you a download link and says you have to pay.

It costs $44, I'm not sure when the online charge will take place, $12-15 more per year. Reasonable I think.

Thanks

It does sound reasonable, though perhaps a little more than I was hoping as I don't have a lot of spare cash at the moment.

You also get an extra six months of online access if you buy it during the beta. The rF2 beta is very much like Minecraft in that you're paying for the full game during the beta stage ;)

The bottom line is, if you are an rFactor enthusiast, the rFactor2 Beta is definitely worth it. Of course you should make sure your PC can handle it adequately.

If you are new to rFactor, you probably shouldn't participate in the paid Beta.

Alright, my computer is fixed and I am downloading the content. Do I have to download the HTTP file link and the Torrent file link? Or do I just download one? and btw these are on the directions on the ISI forum

Does it support Macs yet? If not, then that's a shame.

Hello Peter

You are looking at it the wrong way. After 22 years of exclusive Mac use, I am gradually migrating to Windows. I can tell you it is Apple who should worry about supporting and encouraging more Mac support.

If you are a SIM enthusiast, do yourself a favor and buy a good gaming PC, it will cost you about the same as an iPad. Don't wait for Apple to deliver, they never have, they never will.

Macs are very pretty powerful machines.
Not sure if srs, but assuming you are (and for the benefit of Peter) I'm compelled to blow that belief to pieces:

Bottom-tier iMac:
2.5GHz quad-core Intel i5 2400S. Slower version of the 2400, which is slower again than the 2500(K)
6750M graphics chip with 512MB memory, so terrible it's laughable

Top-tier iMac:
3.1GHz i5 2400
6970M graphics w/ 1GB memory, which is ~= an underclocked desktop 6850, and a 6950/560Ti poops all over a 6850. Couple that with trying to drive a 3D game at 2560x1440 and you have no framerate.

The iMacs in the middle have 6770Ms with 512MB VRAM, which are essentially desktop 5770s that have been chopped in half. I have *two* (overclocked!) 5770s in my computer for performance 10% or so below a 6950, and there are a good amount of games that bring it to its knees. If Macs are "powerful" then I own a supercomputer.

Macs are a disease to all that is good about PC gaming.

Here is another one for you guys. Named Kahunas because after racing the F1's in rF2 the last few days around SPA, it's made me more aware of just what size Kahunas you needed.

I'm definitely building new PC for those games 👍 Only i need to wait to april for my birth day and then :sly:

rFactor2 is just plain tougher than any other sim to date. Tire and track temps make such a huge difference! You have to read the track and know your car and be able to judge how your tires are doing all the time.

That looks like a real solid rig ther Voltaic! I'm looking at some upgrades in the future too, motherboard and maybe another 5770 card to use crossfire. I think those are the weakspots on mine ATM...

I made a little mod over the rfactor 2 multidial HUD, for now just the dials and is in MPH.

Is an a add, not replace the actual multidial HUD.

Install: copy to your packages folder, in mod manager uncheck "Options/Show mods only", then you see it, right click, install.
