Richard Burns Rally - RSRBR 2016

I'm having a problem in RSRBR replays....

When I choose to watch a loaded replay it starts where the camera circles the car than skips straight to the end screen.

Same thing happens when I retire from race just before hitting the finish line and trying to view replay from there.

You have to remember your car/track combination, load up RSCenter and select Launch Richard Burns Rally SSE or RBRDLL instead of selecting go. Load the profile you did the rally in, and then watch the saved replay from there... Works for me (I think I'm learning quickly).

Yeah, I got all my downloads sorted, and wow am I impressed. For the last day or so I've driven only the Ford Fiesta S2000, it's just so smooth and easy to drive (most other cars are plain old bonkers), the car feels so good and I can find the balance between going fast and being careful easily with it because I don't just have to focus on getting the car to go in a straight line. I'm yet to download BTB packs, but already I've loved the new stages, they feel so much more like what I expect when I play a rally game, they're narrow, unforgiving, variable, and require focus. They are a bit more difficult than the original game's stages, though the game's stages are enjoyable.

Hello.

These are my first laps in the simulator and it's fun, not vualtas rapidaa because for that you have to play a lot, I have three screens and is engraved with the gopro

Vid...

a greeting

In the video everything looked about 2X quicker than normal... But how come it still took you the same time as normal, maybe even slightly longer to complete the stage?

Three monitors = wider field of view = better sense of speed.

Makes sense...

Then it is most likely a problem with your RSRBR or RBR itself. Does it do the same thing when you try and run with a base car/track combo (ones that came with the original game)?

Yeah, I feel so gloaty, because I just beat Richard Burns by 4 seconds on the French stage in the RBR Challenge. :sly: And beat him by 2 seconds at the Rally School one... Is probably nothing amazing, but I'm not a very good driver. I got a 2:41 or something like that. :P

Yeah, still does it in RBR...might have to do a clean install:grumpy:

Oy vey.. Installing all this stuff is such a pain. Why there isn't One-In-All package.. >.<

RSRBR is built by a public community, it doesn't have the financial backing that big developers have. I know that a "1-Click Install" would be a nice addition but I think we are very lucky to have such a title when basically all you need is a PC and wheel setup and $10 for the game on Amazon. To be honest, I've never really had any issues with installing the game and updates, I've just followed the instruction on the installs at Rallyesim.fr Also, on post #18 of this thread, member Franjo did a great install bit for us.

Agreed. I have some of my skins screw up in RBR but considering all of this is mainly free I know I can't complain. I'm not losing money just a bit of time which is not a problem. It's the whole beauty of RBR and RSRBR - running into problems and fixing things up.

Has anyone got to the bottom of the replays crashing yet? Happens to me all the time, around 45 seconds in. It's a bummer really as I use the replays for analysing my driving. I thought that it might be a corrupted music file so I removed the Music File and the sound ini but it's still the same. Would really like a fix for this.

Any word on how it's different to 2012?

nothing yet, just the notification. I hope we can install this years edition without having to uninstall the whole package. Can't complain though, looking forward to the new one. I'll keep an eye out for updates on it

Help please.... After some serious headaches I have the game and all the mods installed. My problem is that for whatever reason I cant get the car to move forward. The engine revs but the car wont move. I tried a few runs prior to installing the mod and it ran fine. In the controller menu all of the pedals seem to work properly and show up on the little input meter on the side. Any help would be great..... Thanks

Is it in gear? If you previously played in Automatic (before the mod), it may have switched to Manual in RSRBR (theres settings in RSCenter which determine what game settings it uses when starting a session, and transmission type is one of those, I believe.)

anytime I've had issues, I just uninstalled the whole thing and started new, its the only way in order to have no glitches or similar to what your having. Its a pain to have to do it but it seems to be the only way to get rid of little problems...

Pain in the arse, I know but I un-installed everything and did a complete re-install which fixed the problem. Not as time consuming as the first time as I had saved all of the downloaded files.

Then I installed all of the add-ons such as HUD's, graphic mods, sounds, pacenotes etc piecemeal and tested after each one. So far so good. The only mod that I haven't re-installed is an 'all audio' mod which put a load of music files into the audio folder. Maybe that one caused the replay problems?

Nice 1 👍

I have a problem. Installed standard RBR, downloaded a 1.02 patch and when trying to install it i get the message that RBR is not installed. The same thing occur when I tried to install RSRBR2013. Directory where i installed is G:/RBR. Primary disk is C:/.

Please help, i was reading that installation cannot be in Program files etc., also that RSRBR must be somewhere in connection with the root, I dont get that part.

Can someone please help me, I would love to try it, people say it is very realistic.

The game folder RBR is supposed to be on the C Drive only. Try that...

After doing a clean install of RBR and RSRBR 2013 yesterday my SLI-PRO is acting up in game.....

It will work as normal except for when I crash or stop, then it will display the error "E" on display...

Anyone else having this issue with SLI-PRO????

Hello, Can someone help me? I Just bought Richard Burns Rally but its version 1.00... when i want to patch it up to 1.02 it always tells me "game must be installed"
what can i do? i already changed it in the registry but still the same problem :(

Just upgraded to RSRBR2013 today. I love the new interface, it looks much more professional than the old one.

Hey, I have a massive problem. I tried installing the XBCD drivers but they screwed up the game to the point where even reinstalling the game didn't fix the problem. What is happening with my 360 control is it is stuck in reverse and steering to the right, basically all the axis are all mixed up. I played Project Cars and there isn't a problem there, and my DFGT still works ok.

On another note, I am having trouble with tight turns on the DFGT with about 400 degrees (tried 200 didn't do much), any one got a good set up for it?

I updated from 2011 to 2013, first completely uninstalled it and then installed fresh, then installed RBR2013, though without the track packs as they are still downloading.

Anyway, I can't just run RBR anymore (using the original RBR exe results in nothing at all) I can only do it from the RS Center Menu (RBR 2013) and it forces me to choose a mod (gravel mod, snow mod etc) which means that i cant actually play RBR.

RBR 2013 had Snow Mod selected, so I do a gravel track and the only place I have any grip is when I'm not on the track, while on the road surface I am constantly skidding even when not on the throttle there is absolutely zero traction or grip at all, even while going 5 mph the wheels are visibly skidding and spitting up dust. Then I changed it to gravel and suddenly on gravel and semi tarmac I have proper grip, but then you come to rain and things go wrong...

It works fine if you're choosing a mod to just drive a stage, but I wanted to do a basic RBR championship, and the only time it worked properly was when I had a dry gravel stage, but only when gravel mod was selected in RBR. Why can't I just play the game without it trying to modify the surface of the event i'm doing?

Havent had a chance to delve into the actual content yet though, have just been playing the Vanilla RBR content through the 2013 mod. I'd definitely like to get better pacenotes too. I thought that Dirt 3 was bad, but in actual fact the pacenotes in Dirt 3 are amazingly useful and well placed compared to the ones in RBR... In reality I want him to say "3 left over crest keep right and caution tight over bridge"... Instead he will say something like "fast left 60 over bridge".... missing out important details!

I got around the surface mod issue by leaving the game each time I go to a new rally during the season, then selecting the country I'l be in and selecting "choose mod", it then chooses the right mod for the country, a bit annoying though that I have to keep leaving and rejoining the game to do this.

Got the trackpack, I'd forgotten what Sweet Lamb II was like, the person that made that is insane, the only way to realistically get to the end without dying is to learn it off by heart because the pacenotes can't really help you, some of the bumps are more like craters, there are more craters going into corners that the pacenotes don't mention and generally it feels like it was made to destroy the car, you would have to really know what is coming beforehand to stand a chance even at slow speeds.

Now I live Wales, walked around and road my bike along many rally stages, and none of them had craters like that in the road! With that in mind I still think my favourite stages are the vanilla RBR ones. Played this game today and had a complete blast with it, not sure why but the RS2013 mod changed my car to a Rover MG mid season (it was the basic Subaru you start with), but I didn't mind as the car appears to be awesome.

If i do a fresh install of RBR and then install RSRBR 2013, do i also need to do the steering lag fix, or is it already done?
