I've downloaded that demo, but haven't had the chance to play it yet. Hoping it's good because it's been a decade since I played a great motorcycle game.

Edit: The AI is 2good4me on the realistic setting.

Edit2: I just realized the bikes are customizable. :embarrassed:

Demo only available for PS4:)
I tried both PS3 and PS4. The demo is also available on PC and XBone.

Just tried to get to it via Playstation Live, and it says "this content cannot be selected at this time." Only found USians and Brazilians broadcasting the demo. Can't be bothered making a US account, but may have to... EDIT: used the archives to find UK clips, and same story - not available to me.

I'd been meaning to try the game for a while, and was hoping to fill a few hours doing just that, instead of scouring the internet and PSN for traces of any news of it.

I can no longer find the RIDE demo either. Looks like they've removed it from the PS Store on the PS4. If I recall correctly, the MotoGP 14 demo was also available for a limited time.

Sucks for those who have missed out on it though, because it is a pretty good and fun game.

Wouldn't have realised this unless I saw this post so cheers for that.

Makes racing on the hardest difficulty pretty easy if you cut out any silly errors.

just saw this post i got the game a couple days ago really enjoying it the graphics are a little wonky but the sound of the bikes and the way they feel is very nice knowing it being a new game fingers crossed for some potential new track bike and rider gear DLC/updates Milestone are really becoming a respectable group with bike games with with the licences they contain when they do the SBK championship games im a little surprised that we don't have more of the tracks that Milestone hold licences for but again new game and DLC/Updates are almost a certain sometime in the future. just thought id post up my thoughts about the game.

Well Done Milestone

I just wish the DLC would drop. It's quite unusual as a Forza player to not have DLC coming out of my ears lmao.

If you haven't bought ride yet, I'd wait a few months. Or check the returns section of your local store. There's bound to be a copy available somewhere for close to 50 pence.

Maybe a quid.

On the subject of dlc guys, idk if anyone else noticed but the season pass in the ps store sates other packs will be 2015 bike models. Sounds like no classics then.

The delay in release in the US has probably hurt sales there, because of piracy. It's likely a case of not being able to afford a simultaneous release, but it could cost them more than they anticipated. Don't blame piracy, blame sitting on the goods people would happily pay you money for!

Well Done Milestone

Milestone started out a respectable group in 1994 (as Graffiti), and then lost it all with their cynical multi-platform annual rehashes starting after around 2001. This seems to be due to a string of poor choices of publisher; they self-publish now, since last year.

They can't reattain their former greatness with their current cut-and-run attitude, though; games have become too complex. At least their games are improving for now, and hopefully this self-publishing will lead to great things again eventually.

I'll probably be doing just that next week... 👍

Bit of a bump, apologies but...

I fired up RIDE today for the first time in a week or so. Was surprised not to see a patch after
the early on bug discussion and Milestone's statement that they were looking to patch

Have we been quietly forgotten?

Maybe once it's officially released in the US and a whole new batch of people start complaining about the shortcomings. I'm assuming it'll all be swept under the rug.

I just bought it an hour ago. While I do have my hands full with Project Cars - and still enjoy DriveClub when I have time - I haven't really properly played a motorcycle game since Tourist Trophy. I hope Ride might be able to catch a little bit of that magic since I don't really have any interest in the Superbike series.

I play on semi-pro and the bikes feel similar to TT, which is great. There's more to exploit with Ride's handling model, though.

The AI is kicking my ass more than any other racing game in recent history. On the lowest setting - very easy - I have yet to place better than second, and have only gotten third in most of the initial world tour races (even with a slightly upgraded bike). And I made sure I chose the Triumph as my starter bike, as the other two had a lot less power.

I've just bought my second bike and started the 700+ cc tour events and it looks like I can expect more of the same.

Anyway, I've been having fun so far - semi-pro physics and combined brakes - but winning enough money to buy more bikes is going to be a long journey if I keep sucking this bad for a while and have to make do with mostly 3rd-7th places and their paltry rewards.

Buy the bmw hp4

Win all the things

Do the elites

Win all the other things.

Stop playing.

:irked:👍

Oh the feels...

Yeah i love it when devs replied to our comments. As much as i hate EA, it feels great when they actually communicate to you. It happens when The Run is released, just sharing your poorly photographed screen of your best time and they still commented it.

Has this game now recieved all the necessary bug fixes (for PS4), or are there still areas where the "Continues Support" still has to cover?

Sorry I know the answer is probably here somewhere, but thought I'd just ask those still playing ;)

cheers

They sounded surprised and relieved I think, because it must be embarrassing for their account manager seeing nothing but insults and disappointment on their Facebook page.

X1 hasn't had a patch. I don't suppose PS4 has fared any better :(

I've changed my tune about this game, it could have been better.Perhaps Polyphony or SMS could make a new bike game, preferably the latter. In the mean time i am going on real roads, with my bike.

VXR
Has it not? I haven't played it in 6 weeks, but touch wood I never had massive glitches or bugs from it
No, it hasn't :( Imo it needs a few little tweaks and a bit of effort put into raising the frame-rate. If they can't do that, lock it to 30fps. Would be so much better than the large range of fps the game displays
