Ridox, could you explain to me why the bottom specs show a lighter vehicle weight even though it claims to be the setup with a full tank of gas? I'm assuming the top specs are without fuel -- I know you've done this quite often with your builds, offer setups with and without fuel.

Is that just a mistake? Was the Specs from Car & Driver supposed to be the one with the full tank of gas? I can't understand why one is so much lighter than the other. Thanks!

@ALB123 Did you notice that amazing acceleration? I'm sure you did. ;)
Beautiful car!
Oh god yeah! It takes off like a rocket ship. I like the way it sounds too. For the most part, the cars sound terrible in GT6, but I don't mind the LFA quite as much as the majority of poor sounding cars in the game. Lateral grip wasn't bad either, for CS rubber. I thought I was going to have a little trouble in the race around Twin Ring Motegi - solely based on the fact I was on CS and everyone else was on SS tires! But the Lexus refused to lose... :sly:

RIDOX Replica Garage Fan Club created in GT6 community section.
All RIDOX Garage friends are invited to join.

We can have there some great racing sessions.

Edit: Club ID - 1039134.
Where's my membership card  ? Seriously, I've never raced on line except for the quick matches, so do I just search for the Club ID ?

@Ridox2JZGTE
Since you now have a Fan Club for racing purposes, this is just an idea but would it be possible to hold an event like HOT VERSION TOUGE 200 Showdown 100PS and 400PP Version, using a few of those cars and going at it like in the video, it could be other Touge events where you may have the cars already tuned for it, could be fun to see if we get the same results as them.

I've got 4 cars left to test in the COTM and then I will be laying low in my cave for awhile, I've got some MLSD tests I want to get done, I'll tag you when I finish, maybe the results will be surprising, maybe not , but they should shed at least a candle light on how it works in GT6, hello Data Mountain here I come :scared:. So if you don't here of me for awhile it will be temporary 👍.

@Pete05
When I finish with all this nonsense I'd like to drop by and discuss transmissions with you :), if you want off course.

This is what baffles me in the beginning too :) I have the report sheet for the Car & Driver test, and the weight is heavier than Auto Motor Und Sport test with full tank. The car tested by Car & Driver is provided by Lexus and the test was done at Nissan Proving Ground in the US. It was an early model and could be the 1st LFA built or a proto for motor show, I'm certain though that it is likely one of the first batch produced by Lexus and may have full options in the build sheet. The car can be tailored build according to customer request. I'm suspecting the LFA tested has not been equipped with the lightweight 12 speakers audio system which is 37% lighter than the Mark Levinson Premium 12 Speakers Surround Sound system offered.

It's about 27kg heavier than the 2011 LFA tested in Germany, which I think the Car & Driver car also has full tank of fuel.

This is the link for the Auto Motor Und Sport test :

and the Car & Driver article :

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2012-lexus-lfa-instrumented-test

"Proving that it still has plenty of budget, Lexus parent Toyota jetted one of the prototypes of the $375,000 carbon-fiber LFA across the Pacific, put it solo into an enormous truck with enough empty space to hold another six or eight LFAs, and hauled it to Arizona for us. Toyota’s own Phoenix-area proving ground being closed to visitors and especially closed to media, we went over to the Nissan Technical Center North America’s 3050-acre facility in Stanfield, Arizona, about 40 minutes south of Phoenix, where Nissan happily rents track time to anyone who’s paying."

I took the new LFA '10 replica build out to race around Twin Ring Motegi in the IB Tour of Japan (I got the idea from the photo posted by @danbojte :D). I was able to take the lead during the 3rd lap and held on for victory over the ZZII '00 and IS F '07 rabbits. 👍 Every car in the race was on SS tires except for ALB! I was rocking the CS factory tires... :D

Glad you find the car drives great :P

I will leave the racing events to any member who want to hold it :) I do not go online very often and my connection is kind of suck ( laggy ) :( For Touge race, Sierra sounds a good place to do it, 1 lap run with 400PP limit. I also had an idea for re-enacting Best Motoring races once I posted all the replica cars that were in it ( there was one with S2000, ISF, Ralliart Evo X, Nismo 370Z, NSXR, and STI Spec C, M3 debut race, 458 Italia race etc )

Welcome Francis, my friend. 👍
The membership card is already implanted in your head.

Don't be afraid to race online. The emotions are big but it's quite simple - Drive as fast as possible without harming others and yourself. And build your strategy.

I'm glad to have you all united there.

If it happens that you know good people, bring them in the Club.

Club event room opened. Everybody welcome.

Edit: We are two in pits already. ;)
Edit: 3.
Edit: 4. :D

Edit: We had a nice session. Thank you all for joining. It was a good start.

Was in the room, watched the race until finish, then got DC'ed :grumpy: went back and had free run with danbojte, great laps until I ran out of fuel  The LFA handles surprisingly well on 40% tire :P Did have some off track excursion, brake too late  and some smokey exits as I floor it. Shame I had to go as I only had about an hour to play.

Good to see you are racing too @TurnLeft :) Both LFA looks pretty beat up

I think I have to, now that you called me out! There are still a couple of the other ones I need to go through and try as well.

Take your time mate, and have fun with the LFA, the R32 GTR is also good fun. I had driven the LFA online just now with very fast tire wear / CS tire at Twin Ring Motegi Road, even at lap 7 and more than halfway worn, still drives quite well ;) just need to be more cautious with braking point and throttle one low speed exits.

Sorry for those dents,I had a bit of trouble, couldn't use the driving line, I have a hard time REMEMBERING points on tracks for my braking zone :banghead:, also shredded my first set of tires :D, over revved the engine, visited all the surrounding grounds, and the battery indicator for my PS3 controller was very low, had to find the wire on the ground and plug it while driving 👍. it was a good first experience at this. As for the handling of the LFA, I was quite surprised it had that much grip, I was expecting a much more slippery scenario.

@joaosoarescso & @danbojte , thanks for the fun, I thought I would catch up to joaosoarescso when he ran out of gas , I pushed a little too hard . Next time I'll be a bit better :sly:.

Running out of gas :) must be focused on driving and forgetting the fuel gauge on low  The LFA has very nice brakes, able to trail brake very late even on 50% tire, just have to yank the handbrake a little to point the front into the apex when things gets too hot :D

I can see the Audi TT-RS would be just as good online :) It has AWD system similar to the Aventador. It can be thrown around with little fuss and very safe to drive.

Yeah I didn't had to do another full lap my fuel was just enough to compesate the pit stop and the time hit zero on the beginning of the straight but @danbojte already passed the finish line before the time reached 0 so i run out of gas, and i know why u pushed to hard, the anxiety of try to pass, lol

It would be great to see some more Events like this and maybe with more line ups of cars

@Ridox2JZGTE i had a couple of laps with LFA at Laguna Seca before I left. Very predictable, ran a 1:35.0 second lap on SHs. I imagine the CSs will work just as good. I will try your ZCP E92 M3 to compare to my own replica. Yours will probably be better.

👍 1:35s sounds about right, with CS tire, it should hover around 1:36s, similar to the lap record LFA there 1:36.39. You should try it online too, I had great time at Motegi Road on CS and very fast tire wear.

The M3, hope you have a good time with it too :P

Definitely yes, what might be good is to have some sort of calling system, I fell on this by accident this morning, just had time to buy and tune and I was with you guys. Maybe a one week notice would be good, , Oh F1 starts soon, then Hockey Series and again Hockey Series, will drop by in between intermissions.

Ahhh I am going to have to make sure I am available when you guys have another Group track day. That must have been so much fun! I love the idea of touge running around La Sierra. Unfortunately, I have to leave to go pick up a friend from the airport so I won't have that much time for GT6 today. :grumpy: I just remembered that I haven't built the Viper replicas yet....    I need to jump on that when I get home tonight.

I could try to organize the next event, with atleast 1 week long so eveyone can see and try to participate, something like M3 vs Mustang 302 at Laguna Seca, or something like that.

its just a thought, something similiar, but with a newer replica

That looks like a good idea 👍, we could also ask @Ridox2JZGTE to find us a multi car challenge. 1 week would give me time to round up a couple of stray drivers who come here , and maybe a few more will join.
